Citrus and tropical fruits, tangerine, orange, mango, passion fruit. Hazy gold, small, creamy, white head. Light bitter. Sweet tropical fruits coming up, mango, passion fruit, grass, floral notes, soft carbonation, medium bodied, straw, grass, floral notes and overripe tropical fruits in the finish. Decent IPA, yet not quite as rich as previous incarnations. Bottle from London Beer Lab, Brixton.

The Kernel Export India Porter
Bottle, 6.4%, hops: galaxy, chinook, exp431. Pitch black, with a nice creamy brown head, staying and a bit lacing. Aroma is "wow!": coffee, roasted malt, and the hops, amazing, resin. Then the taste is surprisingly different, the roasted malts are the most evident note, coffee again, chocolate, the resin hops are still there but more if in the aroma they are the main note, in the taste they are more on the background. Medium-low carbonation, oily texture, bitter finish. Great beer.

The Kernel Export India Porter
Bardzo ładny wygląd, brązowa drobnopęcherzowa piana i czarna barwa piwa. Aromat przyjemny, chmielowy, mocno kawowy, do tego gorzka czekolada. W smaku podobnie. Intensywna chmielowość, mimo tego bardziej wyrazista jest kawa, przyjemna, bardzo długo utrzymująca się na języku. Kremowa faktura. Amerykańskie odmiany chmielu wnoszą ciekawe nuty do piwa, nieco przypomina Black IPA, jednak wciąż dominuje porterowy charakter. Bardzo udane piwo, świetny balans

The Kernel India Pale Ale Mosaic Vic Secret
Keg at Craft Clerko, 20/02/17. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is orange pith, dusty hops, straw, light herbal notes, spice, grapefruit. Taste improves on a rather un-Kernel like nose ... sharp citric intake, melon, orange pith, light white peppery spice, citric kissed straw, toasted bread. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with semi dank hop strokes. Just ’Ok’ by Kernels standards ... seems others haven’t faired so well with this on on tap either ! Have a bottle to rate also.

Keg at Earl of Essex, Islington, London. A hazy golden/yellow coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, slightly herbal and quite bitter. Slightly lacking something, I’ve had better IPAs from Kernel but still reasonable.

The Kernel Pale Ale Chinook Enigma
Firm Kernel murk, bright golden and no head. Nose is grassy, dry dry pine and quite floral, if brief lime. Initial taste is quite perky, proper earthy straw, light toasted malt and a kinda oniony lick. Pretty flat, mouthfeel is sleek and aids a bit more minerality but there is a soft fizzy kiss towards the finish. Lingers out softly bitter, a bit of a weird floral gums sweetness but not terrible satisfying.
