Narragansett Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout
Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of coffee, lactose, alcohol and a big roasted malt flavour with some oatmeal and grains for extra bitterness as well. Medium-bodied; Assertive nutty and earthy flavours with some lactose and pure caster sugar flavours along with a ton of coffee and very earthy, malty flavours that persist throughout. Aftertaste shows some bigger roasty and bitter elements with the coffee and chocolate by far the strongest, with only a touch of alcohol and bitterness on the finish. Overall, a good stout with coffee and sweetness, but nothing too amazing nor worth searching out for. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased a few minutes ago at Whole Foods in New York (Chelsea), New York on 02-December-2016 for US$2,99 sampled walking the streets of New York when my daughter was asleep on 02-December-2016.

Narragansett Hi-Neighbor! Have A Hefeweizen!
Hazy yellow color out of the can with a short, foamy white head. Not much of a nose. This does not drink like a traditional hefe. Some doughy yeast taste, a hint of banana, and a corny sweetness just donít do it for me.

Palm Beach Gardens, Fl - Total Wine & Morer. Slightly murky dark yellow appearance. Slight white head. Hint of clove in the aroma. Some dull banana and bubble gum, but not very hefe-like. Not one for the ages.

As a fan of milk stout I was anxious to try the Narragansett version. A very rich heady brew with a strong coffee finish. Not overly sweet but nicely balanced with the dark roasted malt and burnt coffee. The added coffee must add caffeine since this perks me up after having a few beers. Liked it so much as a closer at the end of the day I am on my third case of tall cans.

In a world of stemware and neck beards, itís refreshing to remember that itís still possible to get a $2 pint of beer at a bar and watch the World Series. Whatís it like, you ask? Oh, itís pretty aggressively mediocre. Itís adjunct-heavy and tastes like it was brewed to fit into a line-up of macro lagers at a police station. But the world needs beers like this, and it fit in perfectly with an inning of baseball.

Can: Slightly hazy yellow-gold with a tall white head. Plain and dull wheat aroma. Watery wheat malt, a hint of honey/lemon taste. Nothing at all going on here....it barely even registers as a wheat ale....not even close to a hefeweizen. FAIL.

Can. Lemon, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Yellow with large white head. Lightly sweet lactic lemon, wheat malt, and lightly bitter straw flavor. Light body. Would be a mediocre wheat ale, but for a Hefeweizen, itís atrocious.

16oz can. Pours honey-amber colored with a minuscule off-white head. Aroma is sweet; caramel and honey with some pale malt. Taste is a similarly sweet blend of caramel malt and honey with some grain and a lightly bitter hop finish. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slick mouthfeel. Too sweet overall, but pleasant enough.

Pint Can, Wine Warehouse. Pours hazy pale golden, nice sized white head. Big easter blossom aroma: roses, other easter flowers (that I can picture but donít know the names of). Flavor is also very floral, but then turns to mild citrus and Hawaiian bread. Finishes with a bittersweet candy-like flavor. I like it quite a bit until the finish.

16oz can. Pours cloudy orange-amber with a large, long-lasting foamy white head. Aroma is floral, with traces of citrus. Taste is bread and pine. Dull grapefruit and some faint tropical fruit and caramel malt are present as well. Moderate bitterness in the finish with a lot of pepper. Unpleasant lingering pepper aftertaste. Light body. Soft carbonation. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. A little rough overall.

From the can marked 0196-1322:30. Slightly foggy orange-yellow under a quick lasting white head. A little Belgian white bread malt character on the nose at first with some citrus, herbal notes, and a weird perfume thing. Light to medium body. The taste has a more forward citrus and herbal hop bitterness and pepper like finish. Almost feels boozy. Lingers at the end. Something more subtle would have been more satisfactory to me.

Pours a hazy amber from a can with a pillowy white head, thick lacing. No nose really through the head. Flavor is a slight tangerine, with a bit of spicy yeastiness, while maintaining a nice light caramel maltiness. Big round mouthfeel, not really like any IPA Iíve had in recent memory. Pretty good beer.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a thick white head that leaves a thin ring. Nose is faint banana. Body is medium light. Taste is slight banana, cloves, bitter organge with a slight bitter long-lasting aftertaste. Claiming to be a German Hefe, it is weak. That said, a good drinking beer. 16 oz can

16 oz. can from Greg & Janeís Beer, Epping, NH. Color is a cloudy golden in a German Weizen glass. The aroma shows me light yeast (American, not German) with citrus, clove and pale grains.

Honestly, this comes off more citrus rather than the German banana notes from A traditional brew of the style. Light and body with spirited carbonation giving a tangle over the pallet. I am still left searching for the banana. Also a tad heavy on the malt. But overall this is still pretty drinkable.

colorful Delís logo on the Tall boy can caught my attention. Made for hot beach days and could not see myself drinking at any other time. Nose is a lemony/tart and tastes like a tangy lemonade soda. Pours yellowish with a brief white head but not to carbonated. Leaves a tarty lemonade aftertaste but not to bitter. One of the better shandies iíve tried.

Can from Bertís Hazy light golden color with a hint of orange and a frothy creamy white head that persists forever. Spicy earthy citrus on the nose with hints of pomme fruit and faint sweet bread. More earthy spice than citrus in the flavor. Weak malt underneath is overpowered by the spicy phenols. Decent beer.

From the can. Light amber-yellow pour under a two-finger white foamy head that dissolves slowly. Sweet is the first adjective that comes to mind when I sniff it followed quickly by wheat, toast, and a twist of citrus. Low hop profile. Medium body. This is an easy drinking beer on an 83 degree day like today with a toffee-malt sweetness along with wheat characters and a squirt of citrus goodness. Mild, clean finish. This was better than I expected.

After a bike ride. Pours clear dark yellow, big white head. Aroma is malt, light toast, only hints of corn and apple. Taste is similar, very light, a bit sweet, definitely more malt than corn, barest hint of hops. Mouthfeel is light, crisp, refreshing. Definitely better than the bigger name AALíS, but there are still other beers I would prefer for summer.
