33 cl. @ home, bought @ Wijnzinnig, Gendt. Hazy dark yellow with a white head. Hoppy aroma.Sweet taste with some hopbitterness. Supposedly a pilsener but it tastes more like a hoppy Belgian blonde. Not bad though.

A triple with a head that has bitter hints of asperine, that aren’t surprisingly annoying. The aftertaste is a bit weak.

150 ml tasting glass from the draft at De Beurs during Happen en Stappen met een bier in Hoogeveen.. Appearance: Light yellow body with a good sized white head, soapy, with good retention. Head leaves light lacing.behind.. Aroma of yeast, some wheat, lemon, grains, citrus zest and candy sugar Taste:Moderate sweet , floral, yeast, light citrus, wet grains, some hops, good bitterness on the finish and the aftertaste, but there are some odd candy sugar tones. . Medium thin body, soft carbonation. Served at de Beurs with some ice pulled pork dish, which fit nicely. I had the idea that this draft version was much better as a bottled version I had years ago. A lot of folks liked this one as it’s a public friendley brew.

Ik vind hem zo slecht nog niet. Ziet er niet al te best uit. Erg helder en weinig kraag. Verder is het een kruidige, vrij scherpe tripel met wat hooi in de smaak.

Bottle at Brasserie Jansen. Fresh pilsner malt aroma with some hay and green apple and spicy noble hops (closer to Hallertauer than Saaz). Clear dark gold under a lacy, pristine, persistent cover. Flavour is a blend of spicy, noble hops and pilsner malt that begins sweet, but develops an almost assertive bitterness. The sweet malt blends with a sort of oniony lager flavour that is somewhat unpleasant. Medium body, smooth, moderate carbonation.

Thin taste.. thin watery body, too high overcabonted, quite prickley. Probably infected seeing the odd sour tones and overcarbonation.

Scotch-style winter ale, like there are many in Belgium, but this one is from the Netherlands. Warm, coppery bronze colour, almost clear with a slight haze of dead yeast particles; thinnish but relatively stable, off-white, irregular head. Aroma of toasted bread, cookie dough, balsamic vinegar, caramel candy, dried ginger, roasted chestnuts, dried leaves, banana, dried orange peel, peach, freshly baked cake. Caramelly taste with a slightly sourish touch, spices clearly present but subtle enough, dried fruits, some peach and red berries, yeasty and somewhat starchy mouthfeel; nutty and caramelly malt sweetishness, retronasal spiciness in a rather subdued way; toasted accent, becoming more prominent at the back of the tongue, supported by herbal hop bitterishness and some warming, brandy-like alcohol, which, in all, remains well hidden. Quite decent.

Golden body, frothy head. Could use some haze. Fresher hopped than I expected, wish soft apple and pale malts too. Nice, actually! Full mouth feel, bubbly and rich. Well bittered. Quite dry ending. A blond to be proud of. (Bottle from trade with Edo, many thanks!)

33 cl bottle @ home, was already sitting in my closet for some time (bbe Oct. 2014 though). This was actually brewed by/with Ruud from De Eem. Color is as good as black. Beige head, overly foaming, I had to pour it into several glasses. Aroma’s: some roasted malts, some (red) fruit, not too strong really. Retronasal there’s more fruitiness, light roast, a bit drop. Flavor is light roasted, some sour notes, a bit drop, light bitterness. (Too) Thin bodied. Short finish, light roast.

Slightly hazy golden color, good frothy white head, reduces slowly to 5 mm layer, good lacing; fresh wheaty and fruity nose, yeasty, dough, grass, floral, pineapple, citrus; taste at first light sweet followed by light bitterness; medium body, creamy/buttery texture, soft carbonation; mild sweetbitter finish, fruity notes. Could use a bit more body but apart from that a nice refreshing beer.
