Crooked Stave LíBrett díRaspberry
375ml bottle. Fantastic ruby colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, minimally pink-ish head. Very intense, clean, juicy, fruity raspberry aroma without leafy or earthy aspects, just sweet-ish and tart-ish fruitiness, minimally funky and citrusy undertones. Taste is dry, moderately tart, fruity and slightly funky, notes of raspberry, hints of barnyard funk, a touch of yeasty, peppery spiciness. Superb!

Crooked Stave St. Bretta (Late Spring)
September 19, 2015 - at The Kernel with a whole bunch of RateBeer lunatics for Zwanze Day. Bottle share - so many bottles on those tables! Murky pale gold with a small white foamy head. Smells of brett and lots of tart fruit (citrus). Taste - oh yeah, so much citrus ... airy, lightly dancing on the palate, finishes quick, lots of brett in the aftertaste - nice one.

Crooked Stave / Hawkshead Key Lime Tau (2π)
September 19, 2015 - at Beaverton for the Rainbow event - draught. Hazy deep gold with a solid creamy/foamy white head. Oog - donít love that aroma - like urinal cake and sweetened fake lime syrup - unpleasant. Taste is LIMELIMELIMELIME - at least thereís no piss cake there. Airy mouthfeel and ... yeah; lime. No thanks.

Crooked Stave Progenitor
September 19, 2015 - at Beaverton for the Rainbow event - draught. Mostly clear bubbly gold with a solid frothy white head. Lemon drops over a solid citrus/tropical fruit APA - thatís a nice aroma on a hot sunny day. Taste follows, but less PA character, more acidic lemon, and simpler than that aroma. Airy, acidic, building lemon acid - approaches bile levels of acidity in the linger; not off-putting though, just a bit aggressive.

September 19, 2015 - at Beaverton for the Rainbow event - draught. Very hazy yellow with a huge lasting fluffy white head. Aroma of pear, light brett and floral bitterness. Taste - even MORE brett - fantastic, if a bit raw. Good body, fruit in the finish, which is quick, brett fades pretty quickly. Nice one.

Crooked Stave Star Bar Blend #1
Deep dark brown with a thin ring of foam around the edge. Lovely fruity earthy sourness on the nose with light cherry and light pedio wildness and a kiss of dark malty backbone. Crisp mellow sour flavor with pleasant cherries and earthy undertones with a woody wild sour flavor thatís also tropical and cherry sweet. Really danged good. Not as acidic as the rest of crooked staves stuff so itís a touch more mellow and malty and semisweet and fruity without being puckering.

This íSour Pussí of a beer had an aroma of spicy lemon juice, the taste very similar in nature, tart and sour throughout: not really my thing. Scored objectively.

Crooked Stave Serenata Notturna
Crooked Staveís Sours can hold their own alongside Belgiumís oldest and finest wild yeast brewing traditions. Serenata Notturna gives more proof of this. Serenata Notturna appears red-brown with a fizzy head. Musty fruit aromatics with some mild oak. Apple, stone fruit, grape, and berry flavors - vinous, and like any good wine, the ABV is hidden entirely. Thereís some lovely touches of earthy-sweet oak, too. Itís tart but not harsh. Another beauty from Crooked Stave.
