Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Colin for the can. Very hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Light and sweetish wheaty malts. Smooth floral mid. Modest orange and tangerine. Light finish brings mild floral bitterness. It's okay.

GBBF Day 3. Cask. As Metalman Metalman! Light haze on this paleish gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Light malts, trace of grainy sweetness. Modest floralness and modest oirangey citrus. Light finish. Quite floral and grainy and a little bland.

July 2017 - Can share at Mr Tipple 5K, Canary Wharf. Many thanks to Colin. As 'Metalman Chameleon Equinox', 4.6%. Pale but vibrant golden yellow, hazy with a foamy white head that leaves full lacing. Aroma is wheaty, elderflower, pale wood and linen. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is minerally, faint lemongrass, some pale wood, touch watery but some nice subtle mineral notes. (6-4-6-3-14=3.3)

Very dark brown/almost black with a tan head, smokey aroma, taste is smokey upfront, with a nice little kick from the chili in the back of throat left behind. Nice chocolaty note on the aftertaste. Medium-thin bodied. Overall rather nice smoked porter with just the right amount of chili spice!

Can from Beerdock Leek. Pours a hazy pale amber colour with a medium off white head. Aroma of fruit, some orange, a hint of pine, slight butterscotch and subtle biscuit. Taste of fruit, orange, some resin, slight butterscotch, a little biscuit and subtle spicy hops. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dryish, malty and spicy hop bitterness in the finish. Quite malty for a IPA, some citrus and resin but doesn’t shape up to other IPAs.

Does exactly what it says in the can, a crisp and refreshing wheat lager with lemon, orange and coriander.

Flavour is composed of light dusty grains, spicy citrus, apricot yogurt, straw. Palate is light grains highish carbonation,. Little thin.

Taste of grapefruit, orange, some butterscotch, slight boiled sweets, a little honey and subtle floral, herbal hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, slightly citrusy, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Bit butterscotchy and slightly grainy but the hops are there. Below average though.

Taste comprises melon, straw, grains, orange peel, tangerine, faint spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light hop dusting. Fine ... clean drinking and refreshing.

Can at Beerdock Leek. Pours a deep brown colour with a medium tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, some smoke, slight chilli, a little coffee and subtle dark fruits. Taste of chocolate, chilli, caramel, some dark fruits, slight smoke and subtle wood. Light to medium bodied and soft carbonation. A chocolatey finish with a. soft chilli warmth in the aftertaste. The chillis there but not overpowering. Lots of chocolate and fruit if anything.

A decent lager with bready malts, some citrus and subtle floral hops. Only thing that lets it down is the oxidised finish.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at the office on Wilton Way. Borough Wines, is t? Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. Mild roast in the nose, some dark fruits, dried berries. Light-medium sweet flavour, with soft roast, smooth chocolate, further dried berries, low bitterness. Nicely balanced finish, if a bit restrained, with subtly bitter cocoa, some earthy hitterness, leathery berries. Quite enjoyable, if fairly relaxed. Not much chili presence, though.

cannette 33cl. Dorée/paille, col blanc fin. Arôme au nez finement fruité et citronné, le tout est un peu ’watery’ avec un bouquet coriandre qui tend à prendre le dessus. Palais est malté pils, froment avec encore ce léger effet citronné qui apporte peu et est complété par un effet coriandre nettement plus devant. Le tout est ok, léger mais vraiment rien qui ne brille pour la sortir du lot.

330ml can. Milky, orangey colden colour with small, frothy, fading, white head. Tart-ish and sweet-ish raspberry aroma, cautious hints of chili. Taste is mildly tart, fruity, notes of raspberry, a minimally metallic touch in the finish, slowly accumulating peppery spiciness due to the adjunct chili; light, narrow, quite watery. Nice mixture, needs some more flesh on the bones.

Smoky and chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of dark chocolate and chipotle, green pepper. Taste is minimally smoky, dark malty, hints of barbecue sauce, asphalt, a touch of dark chocolate, minimally mineral and ashy overtones close to the finish, accumulating chili spiciness in the finish.

Can from mchughs. Pours murky orange. White head which dissipates. Nose is berries, raspberry, strawberry with a white wine tart. Flavour is a sweet berry with dry tart finish. A lot of berries in this as it is close to a fruit beer. Cannot pick up chilli heat only very slightly as it warms. Would have been interesting if I could have.
