Keg at the Beavertown 4th birthday party. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a small, foamy white head. Grassy and rindy hops in the nose. Lightly sweet flavour, pithy and flinty, with more citrus peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. OK balance in the finish, some further flinty minerality, grass, orange rind, pale grains. Pretty OK stuff on the whole.

Aroma of grapefruit, orange, lemon, some coconut, slight dill, a little toasted malts, a hint of vanilla and subtle earthy, floral hops. Taste of grapefruit, orange, lemon, some coconut, slight dill, a hint of pine, a little grain, toasted malts and subtle earthy, floral hops. Medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, slightly piney, earthy hop bitterness in the finish. Citrus and sorachi nose with rich malts and a decent earthy and floral hop bitterness. Enjoyed this.

Bottle, batch 16408. Pours black with nice dark brown head. Aromas of espresso and lots of chocolate, some licorice. Taste is moderately sweet, with well marked bitterness. Strong cocoa aftertaste. Thick, extremely thick, syrupy beer, not too sweet, with large dose of dark chocolate. Another great beer from Naparbier.

Bottle. Shaker. Golden, almost clear with small to moderate, white head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is moderately malty with moderate hoppy notes - floral, resinous and piney. Some dirty caramel notes. Flavour is moderately sweet and moderately to highly bitter. The bitterness is long and quite stable. Medium body, oily texture, soft to average carbonation, finish is bitter, dry with floral notes. In overall just an average, nothing special. I’ve expected something more.

Palate;close to full body,low to medium carbonation. Overall:Lovely BW, very nice, touch of barrel made it soo complex and tasty,wish body was a bit thicker.

Boutielle 33cl, BB 11/2017, batch# 16513. Dorée sur un léger voile, col blanc crémeux et généreux présentant une belle résistance. Arôme est clairement axé sur les houblons frais, retrouve pas mal de pin et d’effluves tropicales, léger grains en rétro. Palais est léger axé sur les houblons avec des notes d’agrumes, un peu sec en fin de bouche avec un ajout moyen de pin, pas mal de houblons NZ ajoutant de belles notes savoureuses de tropical, citron vert et un fini rappelant des feuilles de thé vert. Petite sécheresse au niveau de la base des grains oscillant sur avoine voire d’épeautre et qui balance très bien le profil des houblons.

Pours dark brown with thin, instantly disappearing head. Aroma: a lot of red wine, black grapes, vanilla, caramel, nuts, dried fruits, a little bit of rich alcohol. Taste: a lot of sweetness, a little bit of sourness and oaky, astringent bitterness. Full body, oily, sticky texture, flat/soft carbonation, sweet and sour finish, aftertaste of wine and nuts. It’s almost as good as my favourite beer bommen&granaten rioja BA. Very similar in many ways.

Dark copper, head small but acceptable. Aroma: caramel, wine, toast, bread, woody, leather, alcohol. Full to medium body, heavy cloying sweetness, medium to high bitterness. Nice sweet malty flavour with some wine hints. Lots of wood in aftertaste, sharp (too intense) bitterness, also some alcohol.

On tap. Black colour, brown frothy head that stays long, really pretty lacing. Nose is Belgian - dried fruit, mostly raisin. Mouth is intensive coffee. Alcohol does not disturb. Light bitterness. Less body and more carbonation compared to most imperial stouts. Lacks complexity. I hate coffee, so I didn?t like this one much.

Piana niska, duże pęcherzyki, szybko zanika. Barwa ciemnomiedziana, ładna. Aromat śliwek, fig, moreli, rodzynek, w tle winne aromaty- zachęca do spróbowania. W smaku podobnie, powiedziałbym że jest bardzo dobrze. Alkohol wyczuwalny. Piwo pełne, gdyby nie alkohol byłoby jeszcze wyżej. Zdecydowanie najlepsze piwo z tych które próbowałem z Naparbier.

Wyglądało jak brandy, a smakowało genialnie. Zapach suszonych, czerwonych owoców, drewna, czerwonego wina, nieco opiekanego chleba i muśnięcie karmelu. Wszystko bardzo zbite i całkiem intensywne. W smaku analogicznie. Do tego słodycz, gęstość i nawet trochę szkło płakało. Naprawdę super.

Parfums de cacao et de café très prononcé et doux en bouche, quasi sirupeux. D’un noir brillant, elle ne laisse que peu d’amertume en bouche contrairement à la plupart des imperial porter. Probablement l’une des meilleures brunes que j’ai bues.

The taste is slick, bitter, sweet, chewy, dry, tannin, berry skin, earth, booze, salted plum, banana, brandy, wood and earth with a drying, warming finish. Full body and fine carbonation. Rich, robust and boosty. Good fun.

You can always rely on this one. This amber comes from one of the best spanish "true" breweries. It shows caramel, herbs and kind of "black spices" aromas, not sure on this latter... On the palate, the hoppiness is well handled and gives balance and complexity. Medium bodied. Well done.
