Nice bottle, but poor filling Hard to strike a buble but whe it appears is small and white, short-living. "Metal-ish" aroma the taste is no grater than the average Mahou, just with little peanuts and raisins flavoring. Not. Even average good beer

La Socarrada Er Boquerón
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Large white head. Hazy yellow body. Nose of pilsmalts, cactus, lemon, leather and light salty... Flavour is lemon with malts, bitters, than spicy lemon seems to take over a bit... malty.. strange... Aftertaste is spice and malty with a light lemon touch. Medium to full carbo, blown creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied... Tastes more like a spicy radler... strange stuff...

I saw medals on the bottle but not sure why here where there in the first place. NORMAL beer but nothing to write home about. Rosmary is there and that is a nice touch honey not so much. Mine sample is a yeasty yet crisp I know it doesnt make much sense.

Nice honey aroma, but the rosemary is too much. It overwhelms the beer. Totally out of balance.

330ml bottle @ Matt’s. Pours a murky light brown with a small beige head. Nose is sweet, fruity with I’m guessing is a salty note. Flavour is somewhat sharp for a light beer, there is some fruity character but the sharpness overpowers.

Cloudy, tan. Has an ocean water sort of nose. On the palate, wonky...yeasty, salty, no real character. There’s a sea water gimmick, but what’s the base beer? What’s this trying to accomplish? This beer has no point other than to sell you a gimmick.

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out light sea water, straw, not much else. Flavour is quite revolting, with sea water and cardboard. What the hell is the point of this? Nasty.

33cl bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 12-02-2017.
"VII Cata Ratebeer Asturias"
BBD: 06-2018.
Multiple Awards (of course...).
In short: promising nose, poor mouthfeel beer.
Pours little hazy copper with nice off white head. Short head retention, little lacing. Raisins, plums, ripe fruit, some wood nose. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste is caramel, honey, ripe fruit, little wodd notes. A bit watery and dissapointing.

130117. Bottle from Malt Traders. One of the better beers that I have had from Spain and a nice unexpected find. Bright golden amber colour with a deep white head and a sweetness in the flavour that contrasts to the slight bitterness that is also there. Full bodied with the herbiness of the rosemary coming through quite distinctly.

The beer looks nice. On top of the beer a thin rough layer of slightly greyish foam is formed. The bulk collapses quickly, leaving a very thin drape. The beer is clear, but a slight drape can be seen. The color is dar coppery brown/red. The smell of the beer is also amazing. It’s really rich. I smell a strong caramel aroma at first, giving nice bitter sweet smells. There is also some toastiness. Those malty aromas are wonderfull. Hop aromas are not very apparent. There are some tiny hoppy bitters though. It is all well balanced. It is better than I had expected. The taste ia also amazing. It reminds me a bit of Irish beers. There is that strawberry/passionfruit thing going on. I like this sweet fruitiness. there are also bittersweet caramel and toasted malt flavours and bitter hops. The balance is amazing. The palate is good. Medium body, smooth and almost creamy texture, medium carbonation. The finish is nice. It is of good length and is tasty, dying out slowly. Good beer!

La Socarrada Er Boquerón
The beer looks average. The color of the beer is not very nice. It’s a brownish yellow, but because of the heavy cloudiness it looks a bit like mud water. I’ve seen tastier beers. In top of the beer some soft white foam is formed. The bulk collapses quickly, leaving a thin drape. The smell is average to. I smell some rather sour aromas, reminding me a bit of wild yeast. I don’t really like that aroma. I also smell some fruity hops and sweetish malts. There is also a fresh salty aroma, I think it’s the influence of the seewater. I like this twist. But, despite the salty twist, the smell is not very special. The sour aroma spoils it a bit. The taste is better. I smell nice bitter hops, tasting fruity and slightly citrusy. There are also sweet and a bit bready malts. There is again that salty twist of sea water. The taste is nice, but I suspected a bit more special aromas and flavors. The palate is average. Medium body, quite smooth. Carbonation is medium to. The finish is not very long and not very exiting. All in all, a good beer but not as special as you might think.

Bottle. I opened it and proceeded to pour myself a half pint glass...of head. I now have a stopwatch running to see how soon it goes away. Five minutes and thirteen seconds later, I tried to pour more than the half-inch I had in my glass, whereupon I got a full glass of head. Eleven minutes later, I had a glass. Pours gold with copious carbonation and a huge, sticky, lacy, messy white head. Nose is salt, apple, roast grain, sugar syrup, and puffed rice. On the palate, it’s got a weird burnt sugar thing going on; it’s like a salted caramel if a salted caramel was made as cheaply as possible and sold in a gas station somewhere. Finish is saccharine and salty at the same time. I’ll pass.

I bought this beer at the Hipercor, Sevilla Este. I drank it in the flat yesterday. It is not a bad beer, I think so, we could say original for a lager. The body is a bit copper and brown, regular foam and white, average carbonation. The taste is malty, sweet, special note of cherry, oak, pleasant at the tongue, few hop. Cold it is pleasant.
