Sawdust City Crack a Window Experimental Pale Ale
[Draught at Indie Alehouse] Pours a clear deep gold with an average size semi-lasting frothy white head. Lots of lacing. Nice fruity hop aroma (7+) along with tropical fruit, some light cattiness and bready malt. Flavour follows, along with a long moderately+ bitter finish. Medium bodied. New expiremental hops were a success, to me anyway, I enjoyed it.

2016-01-07. Hazy pastel yellow body with a nice white head. 3+ Aroma is pleasant. Vinous fruit, a sort of gooseberry like character and something I canít put my finger on. Flavour is interesting. Pleasant tart funky fruit up front quickly gives way to a lightly sweeter oaky vinous fruit character. Average bodied palate, moderate carbonation. 3+ Tasty. The wood character is not entirely to my liking unfortunately. 7/4/7/3/15 On tap at Volo, Toronto.

473 ml can from lcbo. Quiet pour with moderate carbonation and a bland aroma suggesting malt + biscuit + caramel. The beer has a lovely copper hue with a durable craggy white head and good lace. The taste starts off smooth and malty with crusty bread notes expanding into the middle. The finish is long with a faint hint of caramel and just a trace of hop dryness at the very end. Easy drinking!

This stout poured a deep black amber colour with a big, creamy tan coloured head. A little lacing. Scents include coffee, caramel, molasses and burnt toast. First swig was delicious with flavours of lightly burnt toast, coffee and a little dark chocolate. Finish is nice and burnt with a small bitterness in the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sawdust City X Barhop Coriolis Effect
Bought directly from the brewery. Was excited to read BerlinerWeiss on the can. Failed to see "soured beer". Smells very faintly of a wheat beer. Pours a faint gold colour. Head dissipates immediately. Taste is not as sour as other "sours". Its basically all you can taste. Bitter aftertaste. LOTS of carbonation (felt like drinking pop or a cider). Overall I wish I hadnít bought this. Not the beers fault. I know its brewed with good ingredients buy people who care. MB. The Beer "Bear"on

Can. Appearance: dark black, with light brown, low-medium brew/carbonation Taste. Smell: chocolate, coffee, toffee. Taste: dark chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit, hoppy and "ash" bitterness, hops aromatics and dry for ABV. Slightly disappointing texture and metal-like end. Overall: good, well made IPS from Sawdust City.

Sawdust City Winding Road For 7km
Can from the brewery. Orange-copper body with a large head that eventually dissipates to a thin film. Aroma and up-front flavour both strike a good balance of caramel sweetness, bready malt, peppery rye, and spicy yeast, along with a hint of cherry on the palate. The spice builds in strength towards the finish, joined by grassy and orange rind hops, and a bit more boozy heat than Iíd like. There arenít a lot of dark saisons that I like, but despite a couple of flaws, this one is better than most.

can. pours cloudy extra pale yellow with a small creamy white cap offering some retention and lacing. lean crackery cereals, peppered rice concoction, citrus essence - clementines for instance; other citrus, some peel, coconut traces - sorachi ace confirmed; hint of acidity enhancing drinkability - kombucha-like, white pepper. moderate carbonation, light body - kind of watery but eh; crispy and zippy citrusy finish. not really complex but a finely tuned modernly lightly hopped very pale session pale it is.

Sawdust City Sawdust City Winewood: 1606 Stout
Another great stout in Ontario, love the base version but the redline barrel aging does not overpower or change the great beer underneath enough to lose what was already a great beer. Wine notes in aroma are strangely intense, but everything works very well in the glass. Could easily be convinced that its much lower in abv. Its not!

Bottle in Brew Box. Clear golden yellow with a white head that disappeared completely in less than a minute. Warm aroma of biscuit and plum and some spice. No carbonation to speak up, it?s as flat as juice, which takes away from the beer quite a bit IMO. Tart plum skin flavour with some mild citrus, and a lingering mouth puckering sourness and some bready funk. Not bad flavour wise, but the lack of bubbles makes me think this could be so much better.

Pale golden pour with a thin white head. The nose has a bit of juicy citrus and pine with some tropical mango and a bit of grassiness. Also has a nice soft peppery character and a bit of lingering pepper. Moderate bitterness but the beer is much more quaffable than something this size should be. Intensely zesty and fresh. Nice stuff.
