Puyallup River Lahar Imperial IPA
Bottle in Indianola. Thick creamy foam, heavy protein. Lightly hazed, heavy orange. Tinny, bitter, copper hops. Medium body, earthy bitter. Heavy bitter hop. Robust, some honey, strong malt bill. No flaws, pretty old school dipa style. Alright.

Hazy. A mix of sweet fruit, spicy yeast, toasty malts, some earth. Medium bodied. Surprisingly complex for an introductory saison. Very nice

Puyallup River Pineapple Paradise Blonde Saison
Bomber from Tavour - bright cloudy yellow - smells of pineapple first, with a yeasty undertone. Flavor is a little musty and juicy at the same time. Dry on the finish, but lots of pineapple throughout. Cool if youíre in the mood for it.

Puyallup River Electron IPA
Bottle in Seattle. Dry creamy lingering head, clear, golden copper orange. Sweet, autumnal spiced amber aroma. Stale hops, copper metallic. Round-edged malty body with some bitter hop qualities. Fear this is a bit stale, but balance is still outside the wheelhouse.

Puyallup River Cream Ale - Pineapple Ghost Pepper
An interesting very spicy beer. Pours a pee yellow color with a white head. Smells a bit of pepper and lemon. Taste is spicy right away, and pepper, which sort of overwhelms everything else. Paired with lamb tacos with jicama slaw, more pineapple is brought out. Still the spiciest beer I have had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Puyallup River Lahar Imperial IPA
Bottle:   Nice head and lacing, orange, a little dirty and hazy.   Citrusy nose, a little candied, hoppy, some citrus peel and pith.   Seems sweeter than most.   Juicy on the tongue, hoppy, but moreso sweet and citrusy.   This is real nice!   Could stand to actually have a bit more hop bitterness, but I wont complain as its clean with a nice sweetness to it.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   A little mango comes out towards the finish.   Lots of hop flavor without being too bitter.   Probably not for everyone, but I like it.   A little alcohol towards the finish.   Not an over the top hoppy beer, sweeter, could stand to be a bit maltier and maybe even a bit hoppier, but clean and flavorful.   I can dig it!

Puyallup River Mud Mountain Milk Stout
Poured 09.03.16. A: Milk chocolate, cola, and vanilla. A: recedes to a ring. Black body with quite a lot of red in the glass. T: Coffee, milk chocolate, char, cola, dark berry, and vanilla all mix together well. P: Pretty smooth with fizzy bubbles. O: This grew on me. The vanilla beans and lactose nicely cut the sharper roasted malt flavors. Solid.

Puyallup River Cream Ale - Pineapple Ghost Pepper
22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out subdued chili peppers and very subdued pineapple. Flavour is big on the spicy peppers, with a pleasant pineapple contribution. Not much flavour but tons of heat. Itís okay - not much depth.

Puyallup River Cream Ale - Pineapple Ghost Pepper
22oz bottle. Very pale color but hazy.. Small head that fades. Aroma is very light pineapple, have to know its there, and maybe pepper. But its really just a slightly sweet cream ale. Flavor is the same except you get a burn. So, its no pepper flavor but all burn. I like the burn, so its ok with me. Again, a hint of pineapple. The burn sticks around. I actually really like the base cream ale.

Puyallup River Cream Ale - Pineapple Ghost Pepper
22 oz bottle at Eugeneís farewell tasting. Pale golden yellow pour with a soap bubble head. Not much pepper aroma. More grainy. Flavor is a good spicy pepper up front. Lingering spice that leaves a good burn. If you focus on the base behind, there is a nice honey, pineapple. Creamy, and a constant, intriguing pepper. Love them pepper beers.

Puyallup River Lahar Imperial IPA
Bottle from The Beer Junction
Hazy amber color with medium sized head. The hops are sweaty and musky, a bit fruity too. Strong body; caramel and malt flavor, moderately sweet but not syrupy; the hops are mainly resiny, also earthy and a bit citrusy. Abrasive ending resins.
Very nice. Rustic.

Puyallup River Lahar Imperial IPA
22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy orange amber with a small white head. Aroma of herbal hops, some feint cosmetic, paint thinner notes, and floral notes. Flavour brings out very bitter floral hops, some cosmetic notes, and vegetal notes. Too harsh and too many off-flavours. This needs some serious refinement.

Draft at the alehouse. Pours a clear pale gold with a creamy white head that settles. Nose has a bit of corn and maybe a nutty component. Light body, fairly creamy, active carb. Some very lightly toasted caramel, some corn, and some nuts. Not bad, hides the alcohol well, but not crisp and lively either.

Puyallup River Valley Farmhouse IPA
Bottle: † Deep dirty amberish straw, thick, moderate foamy off-white head, nice lacing. † Soft funky nose, a bit citrusy, spicy, a little bready. † Much more funk on the tongue, a bit musty, yeast plays a big part of this one. † Hoppy, but not overly done or too bitter. † Could actually stand to be a bit more hopped up as the balance swings in the Farmhouse/Belgian yeasts favor. † Clean finish, musty, barnish, yeasty, bready, with a very soft citrus based hoppiness. † Tasty, but wished it had a bit more citrus punch to balance the somewhat heavier yeasty bits.   Does show a bit of soapiness after the finish, but guessing thats the comibnation of the spices used.

Folks at 99 bottles told me this one was worth a try. I will be the judge of that... Bottled: unk Light amber ale with a central dome of fine light cream and a rim of the same. Smells of, um, of, peanut butter?! Sweet acetone and esters (?), plastic and something sweet and chemical. Horrid nose. Flavor with bitterness and alcohol, some more peanuts. Medium bodied with hi carb and a disappointingly long finish that reminds me of the detriment in the glass. Really a poor beer. Serving type: bottle 09-08-2012

Puyallup River Aektoberfest Harvest Ale
Bottle:   Deep amber, dirty, hazy, moderate frothy light beige head, little lacing.   Bready malty aroma, slightly mealy.   A bit nutty, a touch earthy.   Malty up front, a little mealy, semi-sweet, very soft earthen/soily aspect.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Smooth overall, finishes malty with a lingering soily/earthen aspect.   Nutty/Biscuity like some Marzens, malty like some Ambers.   Seems like a combination of both.   Decent brew.
