Triple Digit Bourbon Barrel Aged Aftermath
Sampled on tap at Listermann (also bottled) from recent notes. Pours a deep coppery brown color with a medium sized beige head that persists as a creamy film. The aroma is sweet caramel malts, dark fruits, bourbon, vanilla, with some boozy notes wafting in and out. The flavor is sweet caramel malts, lighter fruit than in the nose, bourbon, vanilla, some earthy notes, very slight butterscotch notes that blend with the other flavors, and some alcohol throughout. Medium plus body and fairly smooth, good.

Triple Digit Belsnickel
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark brown with a creamy beige/tan head. Aroma of chocolate, sweet dark malt, whisky and spice. Med body or so. Flavor is chocolate, whisky, slightly burning ginger, and mixed spices. Canít parse the spices. A little heat, but itís not bothersome. Trying hard for wood, but the complex and fairly strong flavors seem to block the wood for me. This is really flavorful and good ale. Amazing, actually.

Triple Digit Calumet Whiskey Barrel Aged Chickow!
Draft to taster in a flight at Listermann alongside all the other variants at the time. Pours the usual caramel brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, hazelnut, brown sugar, vanilla, whiskey, wood, I think this is a solid variant, the whiskey barrel adds as much vanilla as some of the variants with vanilla beans added.

Sample at the taproom on 5/19/17. Dark brown in color with a medium tan head. I really struggled to get a nose off this one, especially when cold. As it warmed I was able to pick up malt, slight maple and caramel. Flavor is malt, maple and slight bourbon before a nut and maple finish.

Triple Digit Neapolitan Chickow!
Sample at the taproom on 5/19/17. Dark brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of malt, berry, vanilla and rich chocolate. Malt and vanilla flavor up front, transitioning to strawberry before a bitter chocolate finish. I really like the nose/flavor distribution of the adjuncts. I get more chocolate than anything, with vanilla following that and strawberry coming in third. Thatís exactly the way I would prefer it.

Triple Digit Chocolate, Coconut, & Orange Chickow!
Sample at the taproom on 5/19/17. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of malt, coconut, chocolate and orange. Malt and orange flavor up front with caramel accents before a sweet coconut finish. No chocolate in the flavor, but still very tasty. Interesting to read Brad and Peterís comments about the absence of coconut. My palate is one that usually doesnít detect coconut unless thereís plenty in there, but I definitely get it in this beer. Totally agree that the abundance of orange can create a masking effect though.

Sample at the taproom on 5/19/17. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of malt, hazelnut, chocolate and fruit. Malt and caramel flavor with chocolate accents before a nutty finish. Doesnít really taste any different than regular Chickow! to me. Iím sure Iíd be able to pick out differences if I had them side by side, but at face value it doesnít taste like an infusion. Had high hopes for this one.

Triple Digit Vanilla Caramel Cookie Chickow
Draft to taster at Listermann from recent notes. Pours the usual caramel brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have big caramel and vanilla character as advertised, the hazelnut from the base is covered up mostly, Is this good? Sure in small doses, sweet, dessert like, tasty in small amounts.

Triple Digit Neapolitan Chickow!
Draft to taster at Listermann. Pours the usual caramel brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, hazelnut, chocolate, vanilla, a berry fruitiness more with the flavor than the nose, some bitterness not seen in the other varieties, decent.

Triple Digit Nutella Chickow!
Draft to taster at Listermann during Chickow day(s). Pours the usual caramel brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, hazelnut, chocolate, some bitterness to the finish to this, I agree with Peter that the additional nutty character that I thought the Nutella would bring was mostly missing, not bad just not as good as the base.

Triple Digit Raspberry Chickow!
Draft at Listermann. Pours the usual caramel brown color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma and flavor have big raspberry fruit character over the typical sweet malts, caramel, hazelnut, brown sugar, although the raspberry is big similar to the orange I had earlier it just works better here in my opinion, finishes with jammy raspberry and caramel hazelnut, good beer.

Triple Digit Espresso Chickow!
Draft to taster at Listermann alongside all the other variants at the time. Pours the usual caramel brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have nice espresso over top of the sweet malts, caramel, hazelnut, the espresso adds a nice roasted character to balance the sweetness, this with some lactose could become a caramel machiato, I like this variant a lot.

Triple Digit Chocolate, Coconut, & Orange Chickow!
Draft to taster at Listermann alongside all the other variants at the time. Pours the usual caramel brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have big candied orange character, caramel, light chocolate, no coconut at all, not my favorite because there was no coconut and very little of the base beer comes through. If you like orange though.

Triple Digit Chocolate Banana Chickow!
Draft to taster at Listermann alongside all the other variants at the time. Pours the usual caramel brown color with a thin beige film. The aroma and flavor have light chocolate, the banana is very mild early but just sneaks in with warming, caramel, hazelnut, softer body, mouthfeel and carbonation than all other variants, just ok compared to the others.

Triple Digit Chocolate Banana Chickow!
Draft at the brewery, served in a small plastic cup. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber-brown with a small off-white head that settles into a ring and lasting film, leaving lace in the cup. The banana is almost nonexistent here. I wouldnít have caught any banana if trying this blind. Definitely a chocolate presence, though, along with hazelnut, caramel, brown sugar, earth, and toast. Light-medium bodied, with a smooth, toasty, sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Alongside the 6 other variants we tried that day, this was one of the two least impressive. Itís all right, but leaves something to be desired.

Triple Digit Maple Barrel Aged Chickow!
Draft at the brewery, served in a small plastic cup. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber-brown with a small off-white head that settles into a ring and lasting film, leaving lace in the cup. Thereís plenty of maple in the aroma here, and even more as it warms, and itís not quite as pronounced in the flavor. Caramel, hazelnut, vanilla, brown sugar, toast, oak, and earth. Very sweet. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, sticky mouthfeel. Not the best of the bunch, but an interesting variant.

Draft at the brewery, served in a small plastic cup. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber-brown with a small off-white head that settles into a ring and lasting film, leaving lace in the cup. Really nice big espresso aroma, and itís woven into the flavor pretty well, too. Hazelnut, toast, chocolate, caramel, brown sugar, and earth. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, toasty, roasty mouthfeel. Easily the best of the variants I tried during Chickow week 2017, although I went once and probably missed a few.

Triple Digit Chocolate, Coconut, & Orange Chickow!
Draft at the brewery, served in a small plastic cup. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber-brown with a small off-white head that settles into a ring and lasting film, leaving lace in the cup. The orange dominates here to the degree that I couldnít even sense the coconut. The chocolate seems to be of the dark variety and takes a backseat to the orange, along with backing notes of hazelnut, caramel, toast, brown sugar, and earth. Light to medium bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a bitter, sweet, citrusy mouthfeel. Weird juxtaposition but it mostly worked for me.

Triple Digit Nutella Chickow!
Draft at the brewery, served in a small plastic cup. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber-brown with a small off-white head that settles into a ring and lasting film, leaving lace in the cup. I donít even get a trace of Nutella in this, not that Nutella is something I eat with regularity or have even had in the past decade. But I know itís some kind of chocolate nut paste, and this one actually seems like it had more bitterness than the others. The hazelnut-brown sugar-caramel-brown sugar-toast thing that is always in Chickow is there, but thereís an extra earthy hoppiness, with like tobacco and herbs and tea. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, earthy, bitter mouthfeel. This one is kinda weird.

Triple Digit Neapolitan Chickow!
Draft at the brewery, served in a small plastic cup. Pours a somewhat cloudy amber-brown with a small off-white head that settles into a ring and lasting film, leaving lace in the cup. Well, this one certainly lives up to its name. All three neapolitan flavors - chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry - are in there, with more chocolate and vanilla in the nose and strawberry and cream in the flavor, with hazelnut, caramel, earth, and brown sugar. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, creamy, sticky mouthfeel. Decent variant.
