Dirty Bucket Hot N' Dirty
From crowler in Seattle. Thanks Andrew, especially for pouring this blind. For the record, I didn't pull that this was a pepper beer. Small rocky gray head in a muddy amber brown body. Vegetal aroma that is obviously pepper now that I know what to look for. Rising smoky pepper flavors. Base is a strange, sweet malt. Not my jam.

Dirty Bucket Dirty Jack Pumpkin Ale
Draft pour at Dirty Bucket. Clean, shiny copper red pour. No head. Looks like whiskey more than beer. Some vegetable, pumpkin spiced aroma. Flavor is a lot of the same. Pumpkin. Mixed several notes. Holiday like spices. A bit of a hot impression. Strange beer here. Weird, I've tried so many beers from these guys. It's about time I start trying their regular lineup beers.

Dirty Bucket Bilge Rat
Draft pour at Dirty Bucket. A dark brown, root beer appearance. Toasty malt aroma. Flavor is a sweet, doughy malt, some chocolate, and some oak, as expected. Lingers with oak, but the malty sweetness lasts forever. Not bad.

Dirty Bucket Hopnobbin IPA
Draft pour at Dirty Bucket. A bit cloudy, pale golden pour. Interesting IPA here. Full of citrus, grapefruit specific aroma and flavor. Grapefruit bitter in the flavor from start to finish. A bit of a piney hop comes in late, similar to their Beach pale. Nice hop profile, easy drinking IPA here. Tasty.

Dirty Bucket Beach Bucket Pale
Draft pour at Dirty Bucket. A clean, semi dark golden pour. Quite an inviting hop forward aroma here. Piney. Flavor is a nice balance of piney hops and earthy malt, cool and refreshing. A good pale here. Some good beers from these guys in recent days.

Dirty Bucket Blackberry Sour
Draft pour at Dirty Bucket. Enjoying the brewery remodel with some new beers. A purple like cloudy pour. A tart, mixed berry aroma. Raspberry and blackberry. Very jammy in flavor. Gentle, but flavorful sour berry finish. Tasty.

Dirty Bucket NoMo Nano
22 oz bottle poured. Picked up at Dirty Bucket. A mostly clean copper pour, with a rocky foam head. Hit or miss style for me, this triple IPA was strange. Caramel and bready malts cover the nose. Flavor is a bit on the bready malt side as well. Stinging metallic notes. Stays away from being a harsh imperial though as far as strength goes. Lingering semi sweet caramel malt. Doesn't have an extreme hop impression that I was expecting. Strange beer, but this was drinkable for my taste.

Dirty Bucket NoMo Nano
22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma is just vile, with all sorts of rotting notes, bandaid, and diacetyl - holy shit. Flavour is almost vile, with bandaids, piney hops, vomit, and biscuity malt. This is horrendous. Embarrassing to sell this stuff. Nasty.

Dirty Bucket Sicyne IPA
Crowler fill at dirty bucket pours a clear amber with a three finger tan head that lasts and abundant lacing. Aroma is tree fruit and malt, hint of pineapple. Taste is a little burnt but not bad, medium bitterness, lasting aftertaste.

Dirty Bucket Bedraggled Irish Red
On tap, pours a pretty clear dark amber with a thin off-white head and minimal lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, vanilla, and cinnamon. Taste mimics the aroma, watery mouth feel, very light carbonation. Bitterness is mild, aftertaste is pleasant enough. Enjoyable.

Dirty Bucket Naughty Autie ESB
Draft pour at Dirty Bucket, Woodinville. Reddish pour with a ton of carb, and a thick foam head. Rich malt forward aroma. Flavor is a cool, slightly sweet malt, but battled by a slight pear note. Modest bitterness. A slight vegetable background. A strange ESB, but something a little different than the expected. Like the soft roasted malt character. Not bad.

Dirty Bucket Irish Apricot Ale
Draft pour at Dirty Bucket, Woodinville. Clean, glossy pour with almost no head. Very unique beer here. Has a root beer quality to it, in both aroma, and lingering mouthfeel. Flavor is a blast of fresh apricot, overpowering the Irish ale base. Cool finish. I’d like to see a more subtle fruit here, but I suppose they hit what they were aiming for. Not too sweet. Not bad.

Dirty Bucket Not Yo Honey Cream Ale
Draft pour pint at Dirty Bucket, Woodinville. Clean and clear golden pour with a wide foam ring head. Quite a refreshing crew ale here. About as much honey as you can put in a beer here, but it doesn’t make this overly sweet at all. Flavor is light, but I expect it to be in a cream ale. Subtle grain aroma, with a honey note as well. This drinks pretty nice. A beer that would fit nicely if it was 30 degrees hotter outside. If a cream ale finds a way to be pleasant, it deserves a lot of credit in my opinion. I liked this.

Dirty Bucket Omnipotent Triple IPA
Draft 7 oz pour at The Collective, Woodinville. Clean, copper golden pour with a patchy head. Sweet aroma, sugary caramel malt. Flavor is thick caramel, not as sweet as the aroma suggests. A bit syrupy. Grassy hops, and lingering caramel malt. Not bad, but not my target for an imperial IPA. Decent drink.

Dirty Bucket, Woodinville. Thick nitro cap, off-white. Creamy thick body, nice nitro touch. Coffee cream, weak body. Light stout flavors. Some bitter. Wet, minty off-flavors. Some points are nice, but still odd.

Dirty Bucket Raspberry Lambic
Dirty Bucket, Woodinville. Creamy white foam, pale hazy pink body. Light raspberry aroma, creamy sip. Incredibly light flavors. Muddled and creamy with a touch of raspberry tart. Not bad, sorta. Don’t know what exactly this should be called, but certainly not lambic. Meh.

Dirty Bucket Raspberry Lambic
Draft pour at Dirty Bucket. Poured to a pint glass. The first raspberry red flag. Pours a hazy pink color with a thin, active fizz head. Fresh red raspberry fruit aroma. In no way artificial. Cream body, raspberry constant, all being mild. Gentle flavor, modest tart. A tasty beer as an overall. Fruit sour, canned beer reminder. Pretty good.

Dirty Bucket Hot N' Dirty
Draft pour pint at Dirty Bucket. Pours a Ruby color with a thin fizz head. Aroma is sweet malt blended nicely with a pepper without too much heat impression. Flavor is the same. All pepper flavor, with the heat not coming through. A little more sweet than peppery, but all seems to go well here. Fun, easy to drink pepper beer here. Good.

Dirty Bucket Sicyne IPA
Bottle from Downtown Spirits, where the lady hopefully noted that it was rather darker than one might expect from an IPA and there was no clue as to this on the label. Sampling on my return home it was unusual - dark reddish brown, with a heavy brown (chocolate?) malt feel and a piney but not dominatingly so hop bitterness. Like a hoppy ESB but with a clean yeast profile. It was quite nice but I wasn’t quite convinced, there was a slightly burnt toasty quality from the malt that didn’t sit with the hops.

Dirty Bucket Omnipotent Triple IPA
Draught at Brouwer’s Café, Seattle
Cloudy amber color, reddish, with compact head. Dusty, dirty and a bit stale; sweetish but not cloying, cornmeal, correctly bitter, with moderate hop quality. Mediocre.

Dirty Bucket Sicyne IPA
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours bright ruddy/orange copper with a beige head. Aroma is spicy, grassy, dankish. Med body at least, tho a bit questionable somehow. Flavor is rather amberish, malt wise, with spice, grass, and not really dankish. Some floral. Sort of ESB. Not bad, but not outstanding. Fairly drinkable.

Dirty Bucket Omnipotent Triple IPA
On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe, pours a cloudy dark orangey amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings wet wood, some cardboard, and resinous hops. Flavour is similar, with notes of wet wood upfront, followed by resinous hops. Not terribly complex nor elegant. Not disastrous but I’m not a big fan.

Dirty Bucket Blootered Scotch Ale
Draft 8 oz pour on my Woodinville brewery crawl. Dark reddish brown pour with a big bubble head. Oak and peat malt aroma from a distance. Flavor is a huge roasted nut flavor with a mild sweetness late. Subtle smokiness throughout that doesn’t reach the overpowering stage. Top of the line when it comes to a unique beer. Good beer to sip and enjoy the huge array of flavor. Lingering cool, peat finish. Very fun, tasty beer.

Dirty Bucket Filthy Hoppn' IPA
Draft pour pint at the brewery, as part of my on foot Woodinville crawl. The rain is pouring, but so is the beer, so it’s cool. 3rd stop. Light golden copper pour with a rocky foam head. Big fresh piney hops aroma. Hop heavy flavor with a slight bitter finish. Has a cabbage hinted feature that I have noticed in their beer before, but it isn’t nearly as off putting here. Lingering bitter hop finish. Not bad.

Dirty Bucket Filthy Hoppn' IPA
Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours clear light copper with a slight off-white head. Lots of hop in the aroma - floral, spice, earth - maybe pine. Med + body. Flavor is rather earthy with touches of pine and citrus. It has a bitter bite. Leaves hop flavor in the mouth. It’s not super strong in any one thing - except all the hop taken together. Support is mildly roasty malt. Solid IPA.

Dirty Bucket Ruski Porridge
Draft pour at the 192 lake trail taproom. From yesterday’s notes. Pours a super muddy brown color with a coffee, roasted malt aroma. Flavor had a lot of coffee in there, as well as some vegetal flavors. Definitely oaty as well, with some more coffee grounds towards the finish. Wasn’t super impressed here, though it kinda grew on me. I’ll try this again. UPDATE: Retry month 2017. Tried on tap at the brewery this time. Creamy. Oat like. Some milk chocolate. Still a vegetal note, but much lighter. Better this time around, for sure.

Dirty Bucket Triple X (XXX)
On tap at Brouwer’s Cafe, pours a cloudy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is quite acetic, with paint thinner and nail polish, along with fruity hops. Flavour is over-malted, with nail polish remover, and hops that are buried. Something quite wrong here, though there are some oranges and tropical fruit buried underneath. Not refined, but not a disaster.

Dirty Bucket Sicyne IPA
On tap @ 192. Pours dark reddish copper with very thin white head. Aroma is light caramel malt and a hint of earthy hops on the back. Taste is clean, slightly sweet light caramel malt, just enough hops to balance. Earthy, grassy notes stand out on the hops, with a hint of pine. Not a bad IPA.

Dirty Bucket Full Nelson India Black Ale
Draft sample at the bothell brew festival. Pours a jet black with a thin tan head. Odd vegetable aroma. Cabbage like flavor with a roasted feel. Very bitter. I gave these beer a chance two separate times separated by a couple months. Giving the benefit of the doubt, this beer is not for me. UPDATE: one of my favorite things about being on Ratebeer, is my opportunity to give beer a deserved second, or in this case, third chance. Tried again on draft at the brewery. Near black pour with a thick foam head. Heavy hoped aroma and flavor. Subtle roastiness throughout, with a big hop bitter linger. This was undrinkable for me upon my first two tries, but they may have had a batch or two that was off. This one is still far from great, but it was much more enjoyable. Meeting in the middle on the rating, until I will try again. New take on the beer, it is quite interesting.
