Pressburg Single Hop Ale 12° Cascade NZ
25-03-17 // on tap at the brewpub. With cascade hops from New Zealand. Pours a murky orange beer with a big white head. Taste is light hoppy. Taste is medium sweet malty, some caramel, with a light bitter finish. No really hop aroma. Not fascinating as it has some light offtastes.

25-03-17 // on tap at the brewpub in Bratislava. Pours a murky unfiltered brown beer with big beige head. My first polotmavy style beer so I dont know how they should taste. But this is just a dark lager beer in my opinion, some sweet light roasty malts, bit watery, light herbal hop tocuhes in the end.

On tap at brewery. Now 4 times hopped! A beer. No.8 tonight and now guess the difference. It will be lager with okay appearance, for unfiltered piece. Malt is there. Bit of bitterness too. Price tag in favor of choosing it. Go for it!

On tap at brewery. No.7 tonight, please apologize further ratings. A beer. A beer with malty aroma and average appearance. A beer with an average taste. Malt is there. Hops are not. I would expect tiny bits of hops in lager. But not bad.

Pressburg IPA 13,5°
On tap at brewery. Rating may be influenced by not that successful visit of Kláštorný pivovar. Salvation! Preceeded by heretics from KP this is true balsam for belly. Not really tastes like IPA but still lovely beer. Almost no bitterness, little bit of sweetness. Where are citruses? Oh right, they don’t grow in Slovakia. Still I like. Thanks.

Pressburg White IPA 13°
Tap at the brewpub. Hazy golden-orange colour, stable white head. Aroma and taste have lots of tangerines, lots of tangerine zest. Light grapefruity. All in all lots of citrusy hoppy flavours. The bitterness is somewhat rough, with a grassy pith-zesty quality initially, but then it continues just fine. Actually surprisingly short and neutral finish in this one. Quite easily drinkable once you get used to the harsh bitterness.

.25l pour from tap into a glass mug at the brewery in Bratislava. Dark, brown or maybe deep ruby, almost totally opaque, nice tan head that leaves great lacing. Nose is malty, sweet, bready. Body is medium and smooth as silk. Taste is great. Definitely on the weaker side of dark beer, but that’s not a complaint. Lightly roasty, gently bitter, a little caramel sweetness, a little burnt on the end. Well done.

Pressburg Porter 13
Tap at the brewery. Clear very dark colour, quite stable head. Aroma light diacetyl, otherwise clean dark chocolate-caramel notes. Taste is quite clean dark beer, resembles rather typical dark lager rather than a porter. Lacking the fruits, having some diacetyl and somewhat reatrained roasty character. All in all a good one, even though not a representative example of style.
