Bolero Snort Crooked Cream Pop
Growler from Super BuyRite of North Plainfield, NJ. Cloudy medium gold color. Small creamy beige head. Sweet, tropical fruit nose hints at mango and orange. Flavor is slightly doughy with luscious notes of mango, orange, kiwi, vanilla and cream. The hop scheme is subdued and allows the tropical fruitiness to remain in the lead. This is a very quaffable IPA that proves that Bolero Snort is just crazy and bold in their ongoing leap into the head of the New Jersey craft beer scene. Well done guys!

Can care of Dave, pours a hazy orange color with small white head and nice lace. Notes of honey, malt, fruity pebble/vanilla smell, pine, and other grassy hops. This is honestly decent at only 6 percent, with minimal gimmick sweetness. Not murky

Bolero Snort Bullyjuice
Tallboy can from Fischer Blvd. Poured a sort of NE style but the body is a bit too brown-gold and a tad too thin. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, guava, stone fruit, bread, touch of lime and tangerines. Flavor is a bit sweeter and less bitter. Lots of sugary tropical and citrus fruits followed by sweet bread dough. Medium bidy with stronger lively carbonation. Meh.

Tallboy can from Xroads. Poured a hazy burnt orange with a smaller to average sized tight foamy eggshell head. Aroma of pineapple rind, dry citrus rind, bread crusts, earthy citrus, stone fruit. Flavor is the same but even drier than the dry fruit tinder aromas. Medium mouthfeel, tight bubbly carbination, super dry finish. Meh.....not glad I bought 4 of these.

Bolero Snort "The Herd"
Thick and dense medium brown head of fine bubbles. Strong carbonation keeps a nice thin sheen of foam on the surface. Rich and malty aroma with some dark roasted malts, dark fruit, plums, burnt sugar and salt water. Color is a cloudy brown. Looks and smells just like a fine quality quad. Lively carbonation in the mouth and a rather strong and warming alcohol presence. Lots more dark roasted malts, brown sugar, raisins, figs and caramel. Rather complex. Body is a tad on the thin side but is still loaded with complex flavors. Finishes sweet malts and toffee. A pretty damn good and great example of what a quad should be! Kudos to the brewery.

Bolero Snort Crooked Labulls
16oz can. 5/22/17 can date. Appearance: Deep golden, turbid and cloudy, with a thick fluffy head. Definitely has the turbid, juicy NEIPA look. Aroma: Tropical hop aromas dominate, pineapple, mango, and some grapefruit. Just a touch of grassiness. None of the traditional resinous hop aroma of a DIPA. Taste: Bready, grainy malt sweetness quickly dominated by juicy, tropical fruit blend of pineapple, tangerine, mango, and grapefruit. Grassy hop bitterness builds to a strong yet restrained perceived bitterness for a DIPA Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a low to moderate body. Finish: Grassy bitterness comes out strong after the swallow, leaving little remainder of the juiciness. Overall: Really juicy and fruit forward IPA, that balances the underlying bitterness and leads to a lower perceived bitterness than a traditional DIPA. Lacks the typical resinous hop character of the style. Very drinkable for a beer of this strength. Bitterness almost comes of as a peppery spice against the fruity base. Well done

Light spice. Surprising and unwelcome apple. Some esters and coffee. Smooth floral finish. A few odd things going on here.
