Pizza Boy Sunny Side Up (Vietnamese Coffee Bourbon Barrel Aged)
Can. Pours opaque black, medium tan head, dissipates slowly, decent lacing. Aroma is light overall, notes of strong coffee, ashtray, very light bourbon, roasty. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, heavy coffee. Very light touch on the bourbon. A bit of acidity. Kind of a let down, honestly.

Pizza Boy Polar Vortex
Draft at taproom. Pours black with a khaki head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Nose of hot peppers, chocolate, cinnamon, allspice, and citrus. A lot of the these flavors are on the tongue as well. The flavor of this beer seems to constantly shift and move and the heat builds a bit as you drink it. Hides itís booze well. The best Impy stouts feel like puzzles to be solved and this is a great example of that.

Pizza Boy From India with Love
Draft at taproom. Pours black with a khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Big milk, ginger, and cocounjt notes on the nose and tongue. Finished on the dry side. A bit boozy on the finish. Flavorful but I think this flavor profile works best as a stout.

Pizza Boy Frontside Mango
This beer is on tap at Wexford Pub at Whole Foods. It is very cloudy, fragrant, with a nice head and lacing, Full body and a good DIPA. I sense a little mango but overall just an impression of lots of malt and hops.

Pizza Boy Hopvision - Motueka
Juicy mango tropical hop aroma with an almost wheat beer like malt base. Taste is a lighter bodied beer, but still full flavored, with some mango tropical hop flavors and a dry bitter piney hop finish. Some grassy medicinal hops in there as well. Hazy. Not quite a juice bomb, but a light juice bomb. Solid beer. Grassy medicinal hops began to dominate the more I drank. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pizza Boy Haterís Tears
It's 95 here in Maryland and this beer is perfect for it! Sour and salty, crisp and refreshing, I like that after the sour has left the taste buds you get a light malt profile to it. Good stuff! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Growler from Pizza Boy. Golden pour with a thin head and aromas of mango and lemon peel. I guess it is grapefruit, but seems more like lemon. Flavor is more lemony with a lovely balance and grapefruit juice in the finish. Lovely.

Cask draft at Bru Craft. Very dark brown pour. No head. Potent base. The maple and bacon flavors are background. Huge coffee. Glassy smoke notes. Cocoa nibs. Dark malts. Touch of maple syrup. Pizza Boy Hop Test #1 - Defibrillator
Growler from a Giant Eagle in Shadyside after just missing out at the source in Enola. Pours pitch in this light with short off-white head. Taste sweet malty, light bitterness, heavy Munich, lots of fruit (figs, subtle prunes), touch spice. Full body, sticky lips, clean, textbook sweet-side Doppelbock! [2017.05.20: 3.9]

Pizza Boy LemonDairy
Sixer of cans, my palindromic rating #5775. Just a lovely outside beer where lemonade would suffice. Pint cans marked 05/01/17. Nose is strong, straight-up lemonade, strongly tart and sour without too much sugar. Pour is that clear, lightly hazy yellow with neon tendencies, a bright white and slightly soapy head. Taste very strongly sour but without real pucker, taste is obviously strong lemons but thereís nice bread and a touch of yeast, perhaps, good acid without milk lactic, a little generic fruit and citrus blend behind the lemon but it does add. Strongish sweetness but great for balance. Average carbonation but a strong fat body with well-hidden but still hefty alcohol, very fresh and vibrant, already reaching for another! [2017.05.19: 4.2]

Pizza Boy Spandex Banana Hammock
Pint on tap at Pizza Boy, advertised as a Hefeweizen with a mystery hop, turned out to be a generic pale ale with some HW bg feel. Hazy golden bright white head, lace. Lovely melon nose, melon and rind, medium bitterness and clean, pineapple with some blueberry. Fully body but fine, delicate carbonation, smooth. Dry and a bit grainy, decent pils malt but not strongly bready. Nice and hoppy with medium resin. An interesting combination, works with food without dazzling. [2017.05.19: 3.3]

Pizza Boy Arck Angel with Peaches
Can via trade. Pours out a slightly hazy golden color with no real head to speak of. Aroma is nice, fresh peaches, fresh citrus juice, pineapple, light floral notes, and dough with not much of a tell of the massive abv. Taste drops off, some light peach, sharp bitter hops, alcohol, grain, some acidic grapefruit.

Pizza Boy Frontside Lipslide
Draft at Bertís in Millersville. Clear slick gold color. Its a dry hoppy beer. Not big or oily, which is surprising for a DIPA nowadays. Light fruit and citrus hops. Low bitterness, which is also welcomed. Not a fruit juice bomb or anything. A little mandarin at end of flavor. Light bitterness at the end.

I honk this is where this goes. Isnít called double coffee. Black, duh, dry coffee grounds aroma. Some bittersweet cocoa, light acidity, and cold coffee. But not sweet or bit. Similar in flavor with cold coffee but not big/sweet. More fumy coffee and a bit more rich chocolate.

Pizza Boy Sour Murren River IPA
Draft at Bertís in Millersville. Pale color. I was skeptical about a beer like this, generally not a fan of kettle lacto and mix it with a hoppy beer is extraordinarily suspicious. It the tartness is fruity and works with fruity hops. I get strawberry and generally tart early berries. Cool mix. Dry tart sourish finish.

I would not have guessed strawberry chocolate. Tart and malt bitter, touch of smoke and wood. Black but not thick. Palate was easy, not cream, not imperial, but medium. Aroma had tart and burnt cocoa malt. Tap.

Pizza Boy Mirror of Confusion Wild Ale
From notes. Enjoyed at Corbetís house warming on April 23. 32 oz crowler. The pour is a darker orange brown color with a thin frothy white head that leaves a couple spots of dirty lace as it falls. The aroma is really interesting. There is a fruitiness to it and a hint of vinegar. This is definitely much more sweet than I would ever give tart. Itís got a light lemon to it, but this is just not a sour. The flavor is much of the same. There is a light tartness and a resounding sweet fruitiness that I just donít care for too much. This one is messy and unbalanced. The mouth feel is a definitely syrupy and a little heavy with a sweet fruitiness and a lingering vinegar out the back end. Thanks, but no thanks.

Pizza Boy Amore Shark - White Wine
From notes. Enjoyed at Corbetís house warming on April 23. 32 oz crowler. The pour is a darker orange color with a thick white head that falls down slowly leaving a pretty good bit of lace. The aroma is pretty bitter up front, which is surprising. The juiciness is nice, but the hops are pretty reserved. I like some of the piney resin and the light white wine aspect before the bitterness comes back in and takes over. The flavor is much of the same. The juiciness is short lived before the bitter resin and light white wine oak come roaring through. The mouth feel is light and clean with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly bitter juiciness to go with a hefty oak and a little bit of a messy fruit. This is an interesting one.
