Indeed Derailed #5 - Rum King
Fantastic beer, especially with a good steak. One of my favorite barrel aged stouts. Use by date gives me 2 years. I’ll see what happens over the course of 2 years.

Indeed L.S.D. Honey Ale
Tried this beer because I love their Rum King and thought, "Why Not". Short and to the point. This is by far the worst beer I have ever tried. Then I did something I have never done before. I brought the other 3 cans back to the store for a refund. Tasted like someone sprayed Glade air freshener in my mouth. Just awful!!

Indeed Derailed: Zwickelbier
10 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 3-3-17. Hazy golden with a moderate amount of creamy, off-white head. Looks decent but not extraordinary. Dry, grainy aroma. Scents of buttered bread and matzos. Dry flavor of freshly baked bread with a lot of hops. Quite hoppy, like a lager equivalent of an APA. Really nice, dry hops. Grapefruit zest. I almost gave it an 8 for flavor. Medium body. Good lager crispness. Lively in the palate. Feels substantial in the palate. Frothy and smooth. A well above average and tasty lager. Very German-American and highly enjoyable.

Indeed / Northbound Hot Box Imperial Smoked Pepper Porter
750ml shared by Brad. Not really a Porter, at least a lot lighter in color. Great juicy pepper tones. Great smoke notes. Heavy specialty malt tones. Heavy sticky finish. Nice depth, very enjoyable.

Taste is full bodied, flavors of toasted dark chocolate malt, a hint of vanilla, light espresso and some blackstrap molasses rum. Indeed Day Tripper Pale Ale (Peanut Butter Cup)
Gravity pour from firkin @ New Bohemia, NE. Hazy orange pour with a creamy off-white head. Nose is has some orange sherbet. A bit of grass somewhat muted compared to how Day Tripper typically is. Flavor is moderately bitter. Fairly punchy herbal and grassy character. Somewhat chewy malt backbone. Marmalade and biscuit. Softer texture. Light prickly carb. OK gear. Not sure if there’s any discernible peanut butter character here. Fun to try.

This beer is not quite what I expected. In aRoma, I do pick up some Cocoa, no raisins and oddly a hint of creosote in the background. Appearance’s an opaque brown black, short-lived head and a little lace. Flavor’s also mild, smooth, balanced, some cocoa, a bit of roast, slightly on the sweet side. Nice finish.

An unexpected zwickel tick at Indeed. Served in an odd, tall and narrow glass. Yellow color and a slight haze to the beer. Dry malt aroma with a little yeast. Flavor is dry, grass, noble hops, and some yeast bit not as much as whst I expect from a kellerbier. Extremely drinkable, and i appreciate the effort in brewing this rare style.
