Indeed Wooden Soul #10 - Cherry Dust
Bottle… Murky scarlet-colored pour with peach highlights and small, white head. The aroma is fruity – cherries – and oaken with a subtle undercurrent of musty funkiness. Light to medium-bodied with adequate carbonation. The flavor is not as tart as I was hoping, but it does feature some nice, restrained notes of sour cherries and citric acid. Finishes yeasty, tangy and then dries out a touch. Bottle courtesy of Bvery!

Indeed Haywire Double American Black Ale - 2013
750ml bottle just opened. Pours nearly black with a full, mucho head that sticks. Aroma has notes of resin, dark malts, slight grain, caramel, and well-faded hops. Taste is balanced but sweeter with notes of dark fruits, caramel, dark malts, slight chocolate, and a drawn out, rich ending. No trace of the 11.5% Medium-full body with a medium carbonation. Full, rich, and creamy in the mouth with a bone dry finish. Overall, for as old as this it, it is pretty good. Hops are well past prime but the 11.5% has kept this beer pretty good.

Cloudy orangish color. Tropical fruit and light peach on the nose. Taste - like the aroma, hoppy tropical fruit flavors are forefront and the peach is more subdued. Tastes of ripe muskmelon, papaya, lime, tangerine and peach must. Medium bodied malt backbone. Not as peachy as the Tree Shaker but solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

375 mL bottle. Deep reddish amber body. Aggressive carbonation well pushes up in the center of the glass. Quite lively. Smells of cherry, oak, some acidity, and equal parts sweet caramel malt. Tastes aggressively tart, almost pushing vinegar, but backing off right before it gets too strong. Oaky throughout. Cherries lend sweetness and tartness, but ultimately the sweetness wins as the beer dries out and a very slightly medicinal cherry flavor lingers into the finish. Well carbonated. Dry and lighter bodied than I expected. A well-made sour red.

10 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Nordeast Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 4-13-17. Hazy, orange/gold. Quite bright and appetizing appearance. Very nice color. Moderate amount of off-white to white head. Extensive lacing. I really like the appearance. What the hell, I’ll give it a 5. I really can’t ask for a better-looking beer. Bizarre, caramel aroma. Berry scent. I’ve encountered this hop a handful of times, and I’ve always been weirded out by it in the aroma. Herbal, vegetal, potpourri smell. Caramel with some bitterness in the flavor. Surprisingly bitter finish. The taste does a lot more for me than does the smell. Vanilla bean mixed with dirt. Some spice. Dirt-bitter aftertaste. Medium body. Frothy and smooth in the palate. I do like the palate. Easy to drink. A mixed bag of a beer but an ultimately likable one.
