Hazy tiny burnt deep yellow pour with a frothy white head. Crackers, red pears and subtle but complex brett nose. Hay, minerals, dew and barnyard. Spicy and tiny fruity taste. Dry slightly sparkling mouthfeel. Simple but very much to the point. Plenty of estery fruits with a clean brett profile. Nice beer!

Bottle--thanks, Bruce! Sweet pineapple juice aroma with some pilsner malt and peppery phenolics. Hazy light orange under a thin white collar with a fine bead. Delicate honey and eucalyptus flavour with a dry, subtle farmhouse character. Light body, medium carbonation, refreshing.

Thanks Darrell for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing well filtered whitish yellow with no head. The nose shows round sweet malts with a light Belgian yeast. The palate is light bodied and highly carbonated. Moderately tart with a strong Belgian influence forwardness and a white wine bitterness on the finish.

375ml 04.04.2016 bottle, thanks JC. Aroma: extremely winey, sweet black currant, cherries and other berries. App: red with brownish tint, no head. Really similar to an aged wine. Taste and palate: light to medium body, medium sweetness, vinous a lot, fruity, moderate acidity finish. Overall: this one could benefit more aging without a doubt to cut on the sweetness a bit. Too sweet in its current state making its drinkability moderate. On the positive side, nice black currant presence. Good.

Bottle - 500ml. Golden body with a huge, white foamy head. Awesome hoppy aroma with citrusy and tropical fruits hints. Its sharp, well balanced hoppy taste carries citrusy, woody, and herbal notes. Ends with a long bitter finish. Fantastic!

Fluffy, just yellowish head, not very lasting over clear golden, well-carbonated beer when pouring. Flowery, slightly citrussy/lemony aroma, delicate, with blossomy hops, with a slight ureum/spicy touch. Bitterish hops with EU character, with a harsher lupulin/greenery finish. Dry, poor-soil grass. Very slightly vinous, dry wine. Light body, low to medium carbonation in the end. Bit slick. Easy drinking ale, the nose being very inviting. Many thanks to Vinnie, the RRcrew, and of course the Vermeersch emissionaries!

Bottle, by way of a trade. Hazy, dark straw colour. Ring and film of dense, white head. Nose has soft, sweet brett. Preserved lemon. Lemon pip. Dry grain. Some vanilla malts. Taste is lemon juice sweet, and lemon zest bitter. Clean and crisp mouthfeel. Soft and sweet brett on the finish. Very nice.

25cm of eggwhite-yellowish head over a thumb of faintly veiled, pale golden beer with Grünstich ; shards of lace. "WIld" yeast nose with an outspoken Brett character. There’s a just-not-fruity hoparoma clearly present as well, and somewhere a hint at Indochinese herbs and cocos. Bitterish-bretty-citruspeel. Moulded citruspeel too, but definitely not disturbingly. Finish has a bit of sparadrap and inevitable traces of floormop. Light body, very attenuated, carbonation all knocked out. Better than most of these wild tries. Many thanks to Vinnie, the RR crew, and of course, the Vermeersch emissionaries!!

On tap at RR and bottles later. Pours a red mahogany with a one inch off-white head. Aroma is sour cherries, raisins, plums. Taste is sour cherries up front with a hint of the pinot barrels, but with a nice malty sweet backbone to tone down the sourness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with the perfect amount of carbonation. This one is hard to find, but worth the hunt for one of the best American sours. World Class.

Så er der solbærjuice! Brun og lidt kedelig at se på, men det gemmer sig et væld af behageligheder! Surt, men velbalanceret af sultanas og andet tørret frugt som findes i små æsker!

From notes. Enjoyed this at Mickey’s 30th birthday bash on November 05. 375 mL bottle. Batch 6. The pour on this is a bright clear-ish golden yellow with a thin ring of white head that vanishes quickly. The aroma on this is really efffing good. There is a bright peach and a ton of funkiness to it. Just a bright sourness that makes my mouth water. The flavor is much of the same. Beautifully tart and crisp with a lingering sourness that just makes you want to dive in for more. There isn’t a lot of complexity, but a subtle fruitiness on the tartness and light sour really make this awesome. The mouth feel is light and crisp with a great lingering sourness that is just clenching enough. Damn, I want to bathe in this.

2014 btl, pours a clear light ruby color, small dense off white head that vanished quickly, leaving a ring of bubbles around the glass. No lace on glass. Aromas of berries, wood, dirt, barnyard, musty wine cellar, and a hint of alcohol. Tastes of sour zots candy, dark berries, fresh baked berry pie, dark wine and a hint of alcohol. Medium body, a little under carbonated, maybe due to age, bold, sour mouthfeel and a soft yet astringent, puckering finish. Wow! This beer is amazing. So many flavors going on, my description does not do it justice. This has got to be one of the best sours I’ve ever had the pleasure of drinking. Absolutely, positively, fantastic! Merry Christmas everyone.
