High Hops Root Shoot Copper Ale
Very slightly hazy copper hue with a thin foamy rocky head. Semisweet creamy malty aroma with a bit of biscuit and gentle fruity ale yeast and light floral esters. Crisp semisweet flavor thatís vibrantly poppy with carbonation, a little bready toast and copper malt tones, smoothly balanced by a little leafy hop essences. Delightful. Sweet as a brown but not as dark tasting, kinda nice and creamy and pale and bready and toffeeíd.

High Hops Honey Habenero
Can. Sweet honey aroma with notes of habanero peppers and bready malt. Pours amber colored with a half a finger of tan head that has excellent retention and little lacing. Starts with sweet honey and bready malt flavors with a little bit of heat in the background. Finishes smooth at first with habanero heat almost immediately after with a lingering burn on the palate that stings the back of the throats and builds with each sip. Refreshing at first, but becomes overwhelming with each passing sip.

Can. Toffee malt aroma with notes of caramel, honey and a little bit of dried fruit. Pours clear amber colored with a thin off white head that has some retention and good lacing. Starts with sweet toffee and caramel malt flavors. Finishes fairly smooth with honey and dried fruit flavors. Pretty good, but could have used a little more hops to balance the sweetness.

High Hops The Power Of Zeus
Can. Huge caramel malt aroma with notes of toffee as well as floral and light citrus hops. Pours cloudy caramel colored with a thin tan head that has some retention and lacing. Starts with caramel and toffee malt flavors. Finishes smooth and a bit dry with some floral and citrus hop flavors coming through before the malt overwhelms them. Pretty good pale, but a bit heavy on the malt.

High Hops Dark Days of December Cookie Porter
Clear dark brown with a thin ivory head. Semisweet peanut butter and dry cocoa nose with a slight earthy twang. Bright semisweet brown sugar and cocoa flavor thatís kissed with peanut and lightly roasty dark earthy malts. Could be a bit fuller in body, as thatís the main detractor in this brew for me, but itís pretty alright.

High Hops The Witty One
I had the green-dyed St. Pattys version so Iím not sure what the real appearance looks like, but since the head was super thin, Iíll assume it looked regular, if not tasty looking oh hazy and lightly golden. Light wheaty aroma thatís a little thin. Smooth quaffable wheaty and gentle corianderish flavor thatís very clean and gentle. Low fruity esters and a smooth bready finish.

Cloudy golden with a very thin white cap. Nice wheaty and slightly funky bubble-gum like tone on the nose with a little bit of earthy bready tones underneath. Smooth bready flavor with a little bit of an earthy tone and gentle grassy hop nuances with the slightest bit of ripe banana. Meh. Forgettable but clean and nice.

High Hops Honey Habenero
12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy reddish gold with a medium fluffy off white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is vegetal chili spice and some sweet honey.

The flavor is sweet honey followed by a huge hot spice kick. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, lots of heat that plays nicely with the sweet honey.

High Hops The Dark One
From undated can itís deep brown with a lasting head. Aroma impression is chocolate syrup and vanilla, buttery toffee and condensed milk. Medium bodied with low carbonation and chewy-silky malt, finishing thin and watery with remnant chocolate and milk and cereal breakfast stuff notes in the finish. Carbonation and mouth feel are kind of clumsy, itís sweeter than it needs to be, but thankfully at least resembles chocolate malt and roast in the finish, unlike the like, which doesnít smell anything like beer.

High Hops Blueberry Wheat
No dating on the can. Pours a clear pale gold, average head of foam with short longevity. Blueberries and to a lesser extent, wheat in the nose. More of a sweetish nose than a tart one. Blueberries in the taste with a more substantial wheat flavour. Very little tartness but also very little sweetness. Pretty balanced. Decent flavours going on here for the lowish abv but I reckon I wonít see buying more in my future.

High Hops The Dark One
Bottle. Dark brown with a two finger khaki head that has very good retention. The aroma is medium in strength with cocoa and a bit of coffee. The taste is more cocoa, coffee, and some dates/figs with a grainy malt backdrop. The bitterness is mild like a noble hop would provide. The palate is full and lush. Finishes long and just a bit astringent. Overall: Tasty, and its a good value as I found this in the mark-down bin. If we rated label art Iíd rate this one kinda low in that category, Donít want to say the art is bad, but it does not help sell the beer, perhaps that is why it is in the mark-down clearance bin. It just does not look elegant.. This is the kind of label i put on my homebrew, but my homebrew never came out this good.
