Laine Brighton Ripper
Draft at London Brewers’ Market. Pours mostly clear bright gold with a frothy white cap. Perfume in the nose, zesty citrus. Light sweet flavour with biscuity pale mal, light citrus rind, hay, tangerine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance in the finish, some white bread crust, more biscuits. Drinkable gear.

Laine Brighton Laine’s 48
My Bottom Line:
Citrusy and floral hops accompany this straightforward Pale Ale’s honeyed cereals.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam sits atop the translucent golden.
-A light acidity in the finish points to a tired cask.
-Flavor profile is a tad forgettable.
-Drinkability is there, on account of the leanness of the body and the discreet but present bitterness.

On cask at The Victory Inn, Brighton.
