Leinenkugels Harvest Patch Shandy
Can from the mixed pack. Brownish orange color with a small head. Aroma is light pumpkin spice, a bit of citrus and wheat. The traditional pumpkin spices are there, but thankfully dialed back. Goes well with the wheat base. Much better than expected.

Leinenkugels Autumn Tea Shandy
Can from the mixed pack. Orange color with a small tan head. Nose is mostly herbal and tea, some faint sweet citrus bits. Tastes like tea along with some citrus and floral hops, a little sweet. Had a hint of root beer in there too.

Tasty dunkel. The added fruit is nice and not over powering. Has some roasty notes and hints of cocoa. Decent would drink again. Good for the price point

Not exactly a traditional dunkel but quite tasty! It has a sort of chocolate-covered banana vibe with some extra toasty notes up front.

Leinenkugels Wisconsin Red Pale Ale
From 12-oz bottle pours a clear light reddish amber colored brew with a fast dissipating off-white head that leaves behind s film top. Aroma of multi-grain malt, some floral and citrus hops and a touch of honey. Taste is light to medium light bodied, flavors of multi-grain malt, some floral hops and a touch of white bread. Finish is neutral, light and quite smooth. Some faint mild bitterness but finishes nearly clean with little aftertaste.

Leinenkugels Big Eddy Ryewine Ale
Dark copper to umber in color. Tallish, stable dark taupe head. Sweet malty aromas, with heavy caramel, herbal hops, toasted biscuit and hint of spicy rye and vanilla. Soft palate, with a heavy dose of fine bubbles (nearly too many as it takes away some of the silky rye feel). Toffee, dark fruit, rye, and anise. Spicy on the tongue as the rye and alcohol take little bites. Interesting spice kick, not sure if it’s the alcohol of the rye. A nice sipper, by the fire. Save for a fall day. 8/13

Leinenkugels Berry Weiss
Pours beautiful reddish hue color. Small to no head. Fruity powerful aroma. Taste is an over powering fruit flavor, mixture of berries etc. with little to no beer flavor. Taste more like a fruity wine cooler than beer. Dissatisfied with the brand as they normally brew great beer. Will never buy it again.

Clear copper, tall, lasting head. Sweet nose. Medium body, flavorful, gentle mouthfeel with high carbonation but average heat. Sweetish, hint of sourness and bitterness more evident in the finish. Very malty, tar, medium roast coffee, caramel, yeast but not a lot of vanilla. Very pleasant and well balanced porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Leinenkugels Bavarian Dunkel
Bottle from Hannaford Deep dark brown with ruby at the edges ans a frothy tan head that slowly dissipates. Caramel and a hint of burnt sugar on the nose with bits of earth spice flowers and fruit. Flavor is what I expected, macro lager with caramel flavoring and spices. Clean and well made, but not my cup of tea.

Leinenkugels Cranberry Ginger Shandy
12 oz bottle. While my favor falls on big malty beers for Christmas, let’s realize you’ll have some guests at the party who will just want something light. I have had little love for Leinenkugel’s light product like Honey Weiss and various Shandies, but a Cranberry Ginger Shandy seems like something you might keep around if required (and I do like their all-malt beers like the flagship lager and Dunkel Weiss). So I picked this up from a "Mix a 6" rack to try. The smell does have fruity and spice component, like a Canada Dry Ginger Ale. The beer in the glass is hazy gold, with a bit of pink to it, and a thin layer of foam. The taste shows honey at first, a bit of fruit, and then a definite burn from fresh ginger. The beer also seems to stray kind of far from a "shandy." It seems to have been brewed with the fruit and ginger in the boil, instead of being added to dilute it. The abv is 4.2%, which is a sessionable, but still a full strength beer. And the alcohol does hang in as part of the aftertaste. There also seems to be a bit of saccarine at the end, though. Still, it’s a bit more complex than a Mike Hard lemonade. So, as I suggested, you have a guest that would appreciate something light and fruity.

Bottle - Pours black, tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, fruit. Flavors similar to a brown ale... roasted malts, bakers chocolate, weak coffee, but this tastes like fruit juice (berries) added to give it a tart finish.

Leinenkugels Northwoods Lager
Bottle. Pours a clear dark gold body with a one finger frothy beige head. The nose is pretty simple, some light caramel malt and corn sweetness. The flavor is pretty similar, seems like a Yuengling Lager clone. Light corn sweetness, with a bit of caramel and minimal hops. Light bodied but still a little clingy, fizzy carbonation. Drinkable, but not any better than Yuengling.

Leinenkugels Bavarian Dunkel
12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown (almost black), with a dingy tan head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Strong scents of chocolate and caramel, with undertones of peanut butter. Taste is medium-sweet with flavors of unsweetened chocolate and herbal hops. Medium bodied with lively carbonation and a thin texture. Finish is slightly astringent and fades fairly quickly. Overall, not too bad. I just wish the chocolate flavor was a bit stronger and the finish was a little sweeter.

Brewers take note: do not call your beer a "Bavarian dunkel" as if it has some vestige of being an authentic representation of that style and then put fucken berries in it. I mean... for fuck’s sake. FOR FUCK’S SAKE! So yeah...This actually seems like a kinda good porter or something--a bit ashy but nothing too terrible--that some moron dumped some fruit juice concentrate in. It is at least not horrendously artificial tasting like much of Leiny’s lineup but it is still in no way a really good thing for adults to drink.

Leinenkugels Cranberry Ginger Shandy
Bubbly orange with a short off white head. Ginger and cranberry aroma - covers up all the underlying malt. Light sweet flavor, slightly tart, with ginger coming through the strongest. Light, sweet aftertaste. Palate has a light body and above average carbonation. There were a couple of these in the winter multi pack; I’m not sure if you have to be in the right mood or if it is not consistent, but sometimes I’ve thought this was pretty good, and other times meh...

Leinenkugels Bavarian Dunkel
Pour is a very dark brown with a large creamy tan head. Aroma is a decent toasted and cocoa malt. Smells like a brown ale. Flavor is and a nice helping of cocoa a rich malt and some bitter bakers chcocolate towards the end of the swallow. The label said there is fruit added but I did not get anything noticable. This was a pretty solid dunkel, lots of rich malt flavor without being watery.

Leinenkugels Bavarian Dunkel
12 oz bottle served in a Leinenkugel glass. Clear dark brown body is essentially opaque in the glass but has ruby highlights at the edges when held to light. Semi-durable tan head leaves ample sticky lacing. Aroma: Medium roasted and chocolate malts with faint herbal hops. Flavor: follows the aroma. Moderate strength. Overall: respectable American dunkel that’s true to style.

Golden color with an off white head. Light refreshing aroma of pears and a little cinnamon. Lightly sweet flavor of pears and wheat, with a very mild sweet aftertaste. Leinenkugels Cocoa Shandy
Pours light brown and mostly clear with an off-white, average head. Aroma is predominately cocoa with a bit of vanilla this almost completely covers up any hints of the wheat beer. This ends up creating an aroma that is not that enticing. The taste is sweet - cocoa all the way. The palate has a medium to light body, a creamy texture, and soft carbonation. Overall this did not come out that well, and I also noticed some inconsistency in flavor across multiple cans.

Leinenkugels Ginger Shandy
Hazy yellow color with little to no head. Pleasing aroma of ginger over top of citrus and wheat; kind of smells like a fresh soda. The taste was a bit washed out when compared to the aroma. It was somewhat sweet and very slightly bitter. What I noticed was primarily the flavor of ginger and grain. Light fizzy palate as I had expected. Decent beer, but I prefer some of the other Leinenkugels Shandys more.
