18th Street / Girl & The Goat: The Fox & The Goat
Sampled at 777th Criderfest in a Willybecher glass, a hazy yellow colour with white foam, long-lasting with a little lace. Malty, kinda biscuity but in a fake Victory way, not real English complexity, hint of diacetyl. Medium body and carbonation, decent bittersweet balance into the aftertaste. Not great.

Tap at the Hammond location in a 13oz pour. Crazy metal vibe to this joint. Appearance is pure orange citrus juice with a ton of pulp like haziness. Aroma is mostly citrus rind bringing to mind bright and refreshing notes. Taste is going after the NE style juicy, hoppy double IPA and is demonstrating some significant success. Sweetness is brought in with a relatively heavy hand before settling in with hop bitterness towards the finish. Very well done overall. Holds up well against its East Coast competition.

Can at home. I’ve put off drinking for quite some time and I’m not sure why I have. It has flavours that I can’t put my finger on. It says it has added sea salt can’t say that I can taste that. Not bad beer but this isn’t for me.

Aroma is deep from autumn fruits collected in a sweaty horse blanket. Funk-o-tastic smell. Taste is deep earthy and spicey with ripe pears and grapefruit. Wet denim and leather and overbloomed summer flowers. I wouldn’t say that it’s overly funky or bretty now with a few days short from the enjoy by date, and I actually wished that I would have saved it even longer for an even more brett-infested taste. Hairy!

Tasted from a 12oz. can. It poured a lovely Amber hue with a frothy light orange to beige head leaving rings of lacing. Tropical fruit and peach aroma with a hint of pine. Well hoped taste with malt and notes of citrus & caramel. I’m liking what I’ve been tasting out of 18th St. Brewery. This is not your typical IPA but I enjoy it and believe it’s well worth a taste.

Thx H & ck1! 16oz with a 5/24 can date, super fresh from the source. Pale orange pour, very clear. Tangy tropical fruits, light citrus. A bit of an off flavor. Lighter than medium bodied. A decent blend, but no better. Finishes tangy bittersweet. 13.4

Creamy rich orange color. Huge nose of papaya, orange, mango, armpit (in a good way), sweet grass and flowers, lemon, straight hop resin overall. Flavor is such a delicious smoothie of ripe orange, papaya, mango, subtle berries, honeysuckle. Creamy, dense texture. Goes down way too smoothly. Really enjoyable.

Can 33cl on train to LIBF, thanks Bjorn&Sanne.
