18th Street The Fox and The Hunted Coffee
Can. Pours and looks like Pennzoil 5W30. Espresso colored head. Big roasty nose with coffee, puffed wheat, chocolate, cookies in the nose. Medium bodied for such a viscous looking brew. Mildly sweet, big dark roasted coffee palate, cocoa, touch of soot. Solid and sessionable porter to pound down on a chilly Tuesday night before Thanksgiving Eve (is that a thing?)

Can: Dark, oily black with a thin, dark tan head. Smoky, burned coffee roast aroma. Taste is charred coffee malt, ash......pronounced bitterness.....over-cooked flavour to it, but it worked for me. Body runs a little light compared to the amount of flavour. If you don't want a hint of sweetness in a porter, this one fits the bill. Very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours hazy orangey gold, small off-white head, leaves decent residual and some lacing. Aroma is cloves, anise and cinamon for sure. Not getting coffee oddly enough. Vanilla indeed. Flavor is light plus sweet, light plus bitter, spiced out the wazoo with minimal coffee induced stouty notes. Medium body, This is just a super spicy winter warmer IMO, and not a great one at that.

Draft to taster at FoBAB 17. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, artificial coconut, bourbon, vanilla, thin, based on other variants I have had this is a bit of a disappointment.

This beer almost mimics my glass of uncut whiskey in color, cloudier tho. Smells quite grapefuit-y and appealing. The taste is subdued and VERY session-able. Very crisp finish, all pleasant flavors, but not an abundance of flavor. Body gives the impression of weight but remains light, quite the balancing act. 18th Street impresses me once again.

Ok fortfarande iaf.

This canned brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated body opaque black brown colored body and a very good lacing. The weak aroma was brown malt. The mouthfeel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish roasted malt aftertaste. The smooth flavor contained notes of roasted malt velvety smoothness mild hops and brown malt. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

W aromacie lekkie czekoladowe nuty, czuć wiśnie. W smaku dość słodkie, kwaśne od wiśni, goryczka znikoma. Treściwe, ale ciała nie jest bardzo dużo. Alkohol w miarę dobrze ukryty. Dobre, ale nic nie urywa.

Tasted from a pint can. It poured a hazy amber hue with a small off white head, leaving streaky lacing. Delicious peachy aroma with hints of pine. Fruity, dank hops and sweet caramel taste with a bitter finish. This double pale ale will be a hit with double IPA fans. 🎼I found the simple life ain't so simple, when I jumped out, on that road. I got no love, no love you'd call real. Ain't got nobody, waitin' at home. Runnin' with the devil. God damn it lady, you know I ain't lying to ya. I wanna tell you one time. Runnin' with the devil. Yes I am. Yeah!🎶

16oz "Perry" can from Rays in Tosa. Very tan hazy pour with a lot of spotty lacing. Sweet fruity, fairly light ABV presence, toffee, lactose. Taste more sweetly bitter that nose. Citrus. Toffee. Lactose. Leans to the sweet side down through the glass. Medium bodied or less. Little alcohol presence. The blend is solid. Finishes to the sweet side if that bitter-sweet scale. Interesting mix between a classic citrus/toffee ipa and a NE hazy one. 14

16oz "Perry" can from Rays in Tosa. Hazy dark orange tan pour with a beige head leaving spotty lacing. Citrus and pine, thick & tangy fruits, sweet toffee malts. Resinous and chewy. Lots of late dry hopping leave a rawness. Very overlayered nose. Taste smoother than nose, very thick and chewy. More than medium bodied, with some alcohol presence, the blend is solid. Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet. Solid, very hoppy effort. 13.7

16oz can from Rays in Tosa. 10/11/2017 can date. A Perry can! Cloudy tannish orange pour. Aroma has big dry hopping, citrus, tropical fruits, some pine, light sweet malts. Juicy! Taste is of sweet juicy fruits, citrus, chewy resiny pine, sweet malts. Not quite as juicy as the promise of the nose. Smooth and raw all at the same time. Almost medium bodied, the blend is good, and there is little alcohol presence. Finishes fruity and slightly to the bitter side of that bitter - sweet scale. Nice, tasty, fruity juicy brew. 15.5

can - Hazy orange pour with a long lasting head that laces heavily. The hoppy aroma is full of citrus and tropical fruit. The crisp, bitter flavor is very fruity too, a juicy tropical fruit character backed by some tasty malt and a little resin. Medium bodied. Pleasantly bitter finish. This is delicious.

Thanks Virby44 for sharing the can! Poured into a pilsner glass showing very hazy apricot orange with very sparse white foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of clean mango. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Moderately intense flavours of juicy mango with barely abt bitterness with more mango on the finish.

Rated on 10-13-2017. (Can) The appearance is a small foamy, fizzy cream head that mostly diminishes, hazy amber body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty lacing. The aroma presents citrus hops, bitter hops, grass, grapefruit, orange, toffee, tropical fruits, earthy, caramel, and malt. The flavor is light-medium bitter, citrus hops, juicy, grapefruit, orange, toffee, sweet, caramel malt, and a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and syrupy. This beer is medium bodied. The flavors come together very well making this a refreshing tasting beer. It has a bitter and semi-dry aftertaste. It is a beer worth trying and a beer that I would purchase again.

tap a couple months ago at Hoppy Gnome - Pours amber and has a hoppy, toasted malt aroma. The flavor has good, intense bitterness and a tasty kick of caramel malt to provide some balance. Medium to full bodied. Sometimes the red IPAs, especially the imperials, taste kind of like cough medicine to me, but this one avoids that problem. Very good.
