9.2% Wednesday, June 7, 2023

2.4 Wroclawski Full Testowane zanim zalozylem profil, a nawet stworzylem plik w excelu z lista piw. Puszka zakupiona ponad 20 lat temu w Radomskiej billi na Ustroniu. Piana jasna w miare trwala, zlocista barwa, lekko chmielne, takie po grze w pilke sie nadaje. Sunday, September 25, 2022

3.4 Piast Porter Bottle from an old forgotten store. No head. Clear dark amber color. Old chocolate aroma. Sweet caramell malt taste. Medium bitterness and fine body. Tuesday, March 8, 2016

1.7 Piast Ksiaz 5.5% Bottle given to me by a friend for educational purposes. Golden yellow with a short-lived white head. Light sweetish maize aroma with some grassy hops. The taste is similar, the immediate impression was alright but after a few sips both the malt and hop flavours turn out to be somewhat synthetic and unnatural and drinking the beer becomes a chore rather quickly. 2.9 Piast Porter Very sweet smell and taste. This is today a rarity. This bottle was from -97. It tastes much like port wine. No head on this black beer. Malty, no chocolate but perhaps some coffee. Not my favourite style, too sweet. Friday, May 16, 2014

2.1 Piast Magnum Slodowo alkoholowe piwo, zbyt mocnawe. Alkohol dominuje wszedzie. Pozostawia swoj smak na dlugo po przelknieciu. Pelny smak i tresciwy. Praktycznie zero nut chmielowych. Piwo to wypite szybko to czkawka albo zgaga gotowa. Friday, August 9, 2013

2 Piast Classic Draught. Aroma of nothing really. Clear golden colour with a short lasting white head. Very dry with a hint if bitter but not much else. Saturday, August 7, 2010

2 Piast Classic (bottle - 500 ml) Mildly hazy yellow pour with a thin and fizzy white head that fades quickly. Aroma is kind of sweet with a grainy smell under the sweetness. Some stale hops perhaps. Taste has a fair amount of sweetness in it at the beginning with a malty middle and a dry and bitter hop finish. Kind of grainy and grassy at the end. Watery but surprisingly refreshing. 2.6 Piast Ksiaz 5.5% Bottle. Light malty aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Light tasting - mild malt and subtle hops. Moderate body - gets extra points for not having the typical polish acidity. Saturday, February 5, 2005

2 Piast Classic Not a very pleasant brew, tasted like a "sub-premium" American brand. I would best describe this brew as "soapy" in the aroma and flavor. Grainy, husky, slightly skunky, with grassy bitterness in finish. Monday, January 3, 2005

1.9 Piast Classic Another Eastern Euro bottle of beer that I knew nothing about before consuming. the label gives me assumption this was once the "beer of Polish kings". Further study of the label tells me beer is brewed by Carlsberg/Okocim. After popping the cap I’m greeted with a wet rag aroma. Piast pours a yellow dilluted color with some bubbling into the glass. Flavor is creamy, chalky East Euro swill with a corn alcohol aftertaste. Is this what young Polish drinkers prefer in a pilsner? This beer reminded me of Coors Henry Joseph’s, a beer of my youth. 2.9 Piast Classic Decent beer. Smooth and not the bad bitterness of a lot of pilseners. Sweet like a malt liquor. Also during my "buy cheap things that come in individual bottles" trip to the liquor store. Thursday, October 7, 2004

1.4 Piast Classic Thankfully, I bought only one bottle of this to sample. It pours a pale yellow with a thin head. Smells kind of skunky. Tastes watery with chemical after tones. Are you sure this isn’t one of Miller’s malt liquors? Friday, October 1, 2004

1.7 Piast Classic This is some straight swill. Serve ice cold and try not to taste it too much. Kinda golden yellow, OK head--not bad so far. Too sweet, grainy and vegitative--bad, bad, bad. Thursday, September 30, 2004

2.3 Piast Classic Clear golden yellow with a fizzy white head. Grainy nose and first sip but very watery aftertaste. Slightly grassy at the tail end. Tuesday, September 7, 2004

1.5 Piast Classic Skunky rubber. Clear yellow. Thin. Absolutely no taste, which I guess might not be a bad thing. Tuesday, August 31, 2004

2.9 Piast Classic This was fairly cheap and I picked it as part of my "buy cheap things that come in individual bottles" trip to the liquor store. Not bad overall, a couple of these would be good for just hanging around. Thursday, July 22, 2004

1.7 Piast Ksiaz 5.5% A yellow beer with a bubbly white head. The aroma is sour malty - from brewing cereal, I presume. The flavor is also sour malty. This is a really boring lager. Friday, February 20, 2004

2.9 Piast Classic Sparkling clear, light golden lager. Huge, frothy, white head. Spotty lacing. The nose is lightly malty and floral. Subtle butterscotch notes. The flavor is decently balanced and very mild. Malt flavors. Nice, mellow hop addition, but the malt wins out... a touch on the sweet side. Light-bodied and thin. Watery mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Short, lightly sweet finish. Tuesday, October 28, 2003

3.8 Piast Porter Bottled. The label stated best before 1996... Dark ruby. caraway and coffee aroma. Malty, rhum like in that it is mature, sweet and burning. Thick mouthfeel. Some salty licorice in the finish. Tuesday, August 19, 2003

2.7 Piast Classic One step better in my tour of just one Polish deli. Not bad, not bad. Another fresh one and I'm impressed by this fact alone. Reminds me somewhat of being in Bavaria where even the lamest of beers beat BMC hands tied. Medium body with just enough malt to give good feel, but not a whole lot more. Serve this at ball games and see a smile on my face. Gimme a pierogie (sp?) and the smile will broaden. Tuesday, June 3, 2003
