Urzekło mnie swoją subtelnością i ogromem białego wina.

Pours a deep purple from the bottle with thin bubbly pink head that dissipates quickly to leave minimal lace. Aroma of jammy sweet raspberry notes over a musty wine barrel and slight funk. Taste is even more of the wine, even more of the fruit, some bracing acidity inn the back end. The minimal carbonation has it coming off like a fruit wine, but I enjoy it.

Side Project Bleuet du Fermier
Sampled at gregwilsonstl's house. It poured a rose color with an off-white head. The aroma was of citrus, blueberries, raspberries and florals. The taste was similar to the aroma with more citrus, blueberries, raspberries and lemon with medium carbonation and a bittersweet aftertaste. Decent.

Side Project Bleuet du Fermier
Sampled at Gregwilson’s tasting. Brownish and clouded. Just a little off white foam. A saison aroma with berries. Nice, but not complex. Big funk flavor that is robust. The wild yeast dominates. Earth with wood and berries. All kind of stuff, actually. Quite complex. A lot going on. Cinnamon and more spice. Good and beyond.

It pours hazy orange with an off white head. The aroma has blueberry, funk, spice and Side Project barrel sort of thing. It has a medium lightly grainy body with moderate carbonation. The taste has lots of bugs, spice, fruity and delightful. Very nice.

From notes. Enjoyed at a tasting at Corbet’s house on November 06. 375 mL bottle, Blend #3. The pour is a dark almost black ruby color with a thicker pink head that falls down quickly with no lace left behind. This looks just wonderful. The aroma is phenomenal. There is a heavy blackberry and a beautiful sourness resounding throughout. There is a little funk and a nice oak balance on this one .The flavor is much of the same. Tart black raspberries with a beautiful oak and a light funk throughout. The sourness is just lovely. Oh man. The jamminess on the back end of the flavor is spectacular. The mouth feel is light bodied and clean with a softer carbonation and a lingeringly fruity and mouthwatering sourness on the back end. This is just amazing from front to back. 9 5 9 4 18

Bottle, by way of a trade with b3shine. Cheers Beau. Dirty gold. Lightly opaque. No head. Nose has rennet. Soft cheese rind. Sawn green wood. Some nicely floral, orange blossom like, honey notes. Some dried apricot and peach. Taste is tart, crisp, lightly sour, and a little dry. Bright mouthfeel. Softly acidic. Dry, tart, and lightly acidic finish. Very nice. The honey is evident throughout, and provides a nice balance with the tartness.

Side Project Blueberry Flanders
bottle shared by eric, thanks man! pours almost muddy purple-brownish with a small off-white cap offering minimal retention and lacing. tart blueberries, but also spicy cherries and other bush berries, woodsy lightly buttery notes, medium to high acidity content - surprisingly not really acetic though, fruity maltiness with very light underlying caramels notes, spices. moderate carbonation, light body, sour spicy finish. potent acidity, low blueberry content/expression (as expected) and definitely not close to a flanders red/amber/brown. a letdown from side project.

September 2017 - Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza. As 'Side Project Saison du Blé'. Translucent golden yellow, very little head. Aroma is quite syrupy – mostly golden syrup on pancakes, pleasant golden syrup and maple syrup. Body is smooth with tingly carbonation. Taste is thinner than the aroma, sugary, little straw, raspy dryness. Good. (8-4-7-3-16=3.8)

Pours a clear golden colour with a few bubbles settles with no head at all. Aromas are super inviting with stone fruits and bretty funk. Wild yeast fruitiness.. it’s hella complex, I can’t pick it apart. It has vingummibamse.. petroleum Riesling spätlese sensations.. taste is very sour and very mineral. Very much citrus forward, funky notes and again this gummibear note. Up there with the nicest of saisons I ever tasted. Mouthfeel is light and oily and the aftertaste is super sour and mouthwatering. Mineral and intense.

This beer is a monster, and not for the faint of heart. It's sour and sharp (slightly metallic, unfortunately), yet also big and malty. The result is a difficult beer to drink quickly, like Black and Wild, with lots of nuance and depth that would be lost in a huge bottle share. I really appreciate the gall it takes to make this sort of a blend, and the skill to pull it off, but it's certainly not something I'd expect everyone to like.

Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates slowly to leave moderate lace. Aroma of nice funky barnyard notes from the saison yeast, that then move to lactic acidity and a sweet honey note at the end. Taste has the honey more in a floral fruitiness than a sweetness, big funky middle, and a lasting acidity that goes throughout. High carbonation, dry finish, very nice.

Bottle, by way of a trade with b3shine. Cheers Beau. Hazy, dirty gold. No head. Nose has loads of mango and apricot. Fresh cut oak. Some lactic like twang. Bit of an apricot yoghurt vibe going on. Some gluey, rubbery notes in the background, although not to any particular detriment. Taste is dry, tart, and slightly sour. Some salinity. Super clean, cleansing mouthfeel. Fine carbonation. Lightly acidic, fruity and tangy finish. For the record, the missus, who doesn’t particularly like sour / wild beers, would give this an easy 4.2. Who knew.
