Nitro draft. Dark and lovely, soft, dense head. Soft caramel and roasted malt aroma. Creamy, light, and latte-like with a tad bit of tobacco thrown in. I enjoyed.

Tap at town hall in 7 corners with commonmac during March madness. Nitro. Cola brown black with creamy off white head. Smells great. Very creamy mouthfeel. Taste is a subtle coffee vanilla chocolate. Soft and easy. Not a ton of flavor, but very pleasant. Well done.

Town Hall Amber Falcon
On tap from the source at Town Hall with commonshawn. Pint glass. Unsurprisingly an amber color with decent lacing and minimal off white head. Nose is not very delightful. Kind of a soapy, light caramel syrupy element. Maybe a slight fruity quality. Taste is hoppy without showing off the bitterness, pine or, citrus. They are all hidden under the weight of malt. Caramel and sugars play a role. End feels a little hasty. This doesn?t inspire me to want it again. Mild mannered in general without demonstrating anything to keep you interested. Let?s ground this falcon.

Tap at town hall 7 corners with commonmac during March madness. Black with small off white head. Good lacing. Light roast aroma. Taste is initially heavy roasted malt, then fades quickly. Light body. Slight bitter late. Overall finish leaves something to be desired. Donít think Iíve had a session black ipa before, so i concede that thisis is a good effort.

Town Hall Hopped Concession
Tap at Town Hall during the Final Four. Pint pour. Black in color with solid lacing and a pleasant light tan head. Assertive hops working well with a roasty and nutty malt characteristic. Taste is more forceful than expected from a session style beer. Continuation of the roasted malts and a good hoppy bite especially at the finish. Decent full mouthfeel. Bitterness lingers and slightly diminishes the overall quality. You have to concede it toTown Hall. They did a nice job here making a full and flavorful black IPA at a friendly ABV.

Town Hall SalmiVaara IIPA
5 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 3-27-17. Mostly clear but slightly hazy orange/brass to deep gold. Small beige head. Pleasant enough color; more head couldíve earned it a 4 for appearance. Weak, caramel, fruity hops aroma. Much too sweet and juicy flavor. Honey. Vanilla. Caramel. Peach. Southern Comfort liqueur. Not at all my preference flavor-wise. A welcome spicy hops bite comes on late, too late. Medium to full body. Lively in the palate. Just much too sweet for me. A common problem in double IPAs compounded by the failure to use adequate bittering hops.

5 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 3-27-17. Nice, ruby-hued medium brown. Moderate amount beige head. Good lacing. Good, dry, piney, grassy aroma. Some chocolate in smell. Earthy flavor combines sharp, grassy, piney hops upfront, roasted malt middle, and a dry, bitter finish. A ton of flavor for the ABV on first sip, but that fades a bit. Combo of hops and roasted malts combine for a great dry aftertaste. Light body. The aftertaste elevates an otherwise forgettable palate. Really likable. Good black IPA, especially for the low ABV.

5 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 3-27-17. Clear, bright copper. Small beige head. Nice liquid. Really nice, smoky smell. Barbecue. Likable if a bit chemical, smoky taste. Band-Ade: That doesnít ruin it for me, but I doubt itís what they intended. Somewhat sweet, fruity flavor underneath. Would be delicious if not for that chemical note that affects all too many Rauchbiers. Medium to full body, heavy for ABV. Smooth. Good palate. Quite good beer. Smokier than I expected, to its credit. A good lager and a good smoked beer, and thatís a good combination.

Town Hall Bavarian Express
5 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 3-27-17. Medium brown with a dark amber hue. Small amount of taupe head. Clear and bright given the darkness of the shade. Light, roasted malt aroma. Subtle and boring smell but not bad. Pleasant, almost smoky flavor. Nice, roasted malt, dry finish. Like an overcooked pretzel (not an insult). Frothy palate. Light to medium body. Some liveliness but not as crisp as a lager should be. Easy to drink. Not at all bad; I just wish there were more to it.

On tap at brewery, pours a dark brown black with a small khaki head. Wow! Red wine in the aroma is fantastic! Aroma is of red wine and oak, cherries, red grapes, and black berries. Taste of roasted dark malts, almost charred, becoming bitter, nutty and dry, there is a red wine edge and slickness to the palate with light oak. Taste is not what youíd expect from the aroma but both are equally complex. AWESOME! !

Town Hall Foolish Red
Keg @ Town Hall. Deep reddish / plum colored pour with a small off-white head. Nose is quite fruity indeed. Raspberry and blackberry mash. Funky red grape skin. Definite red wine barrel. Some dry erase marker that I seem to associate with it. Flavor is initially tart and fruity. More blackberry jam. Pronounced, full malty backbone. Glazed donut. Light peppery wood and some booze. Fruity yeast. Full body. Relatively active carb keeps things from being arduous. Really nice.

Town Hall Foolish Angel - Single Barrel Reserve
Keg @ Town Hall. Had alongside Foolish Angel. Moderately hazy russet / reddish pour with a small head. Nose really shows off a lot of booze on character. Pronounced vanilla and hot barrel. Decadent pecan pie. Mild fruity Belgian yeast. Plum and pear skin. Flavor is very smooth. Fat, nutty malt. More vanilla. Sweet, hot bourbon. Full body, prickly carb. Next to Foolish Angel, this is a bit smoother, much more bourbon-forward, and has relatively less fruity yeast character. Great stuff.
