Blue Point Winter Ale
On tap, lounge at JFK. Deep brown amber colour, thin white foam. Quite rich, malty, hint of oil, and a little boozy, with a moderate hop bitterness. Would have benefited from being served warmer for sure, but not a bad wintry ale.

Pours a peachy gold, clear. Harsh aroma, not sure almost smells bitter. Planty minty pine. Malts, plastic. Perfume/alcohol. bit of fruit. Taste is some hops but hot, some malt and harshness. Tastes amature like Coors would do this as craft beer or something. Labeling looked cheap or like Miller that would make a craft version would be. Finishes harsh with perfumey and alcholol. Bad aftertaste. Seems like sellout BMC wannabe craft beer.Maybe there is some cheap gmo ingredients in this like BMC.

Mild aroma of lemon, sweet malts. Golden color with a thick white head. Sweet corn flavor up front. Hint of Caramel. Earthy bitterness cuts it up nicely. Finish is sweet with an echo of pepper. Surprisingly complex for a cream ale.

Blue Point Honey Robber
12oz bottle. Clear beer throughout. Color us amber gold. Head leads to a surface covering lacing that is moderately sticky. Aroma is a clean sweet honey scented light beer. Not something I thought would appeal to me but it does. Same in flavor, just simple yet clean sweetness on a white bread maltiness. No corny or adjunct cream ale features.

Blue Point Sour Cherry Imperial Stout
Bottle from Publix, Sarasota. Pours a deep coffee-colored black with a medium beige head. Nose is rich malt and chocolate with a hint of dark fruits. Taste is dark chocolate and malt with the sour cherry coming only in the first sip...after that it was greatly diminished but faintly present. Body was rich, thick, and oily. Finishes on malty chocolate notes, much like a Korbinian only sweeter. Thoroughly enjoyable and delicious!

Blue Point Prop Stopper Seaweed IPA
Draft at Alewife. Blue Point has been stepping up their game lately. Their head brewer spoke at my local home brewers club a few days ago. This is an IPA brewed with seaweed - interesting! Nice brass colored pour. Pretty sweet for the style with some caramel and orange peel in the flavor. Can’t say I taste much flavor of the sea - just a dash - but there is something unusual there. Aroma is sweetly floral. Good.

Blue Point Mosaic Session IPA
A refreshing beer that I can drink. That is, it is a drinkable beer. A clear golden-red color with a light taste of hops, but not so hoppy that you can’t drink 2-3 easily. Also comes in a pretty can which I appreciate. Not one of the very best session IPAs (I think Lagunitas Daytime and Founders All Day are superior), but it is usually pretty cheap so it is in my regular rotation nonetheless.

Blue Point Mosaic Session IPA
slightly opalescent darker golden colour, medium sized dense off-white head; aroma of grapefruit, resiny notes, orange zest, some tropical fruits and hints of sauerkraut; taste is the same with some bready notes; refreshing beer - I’m sure that I would substantially overrate it if it was a hot summer day...on a winter evening like this, it has less chance for this :-)

Almost clear golden color with off-white head. Aroma has sweet malt and orange marmalade. Taste starts sweet and malty, continues with an interesting fennel note and the aftertaste lingers with a light but abrasive hop bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. My bottle was quite old but the beer held up well.

Blue Point Sour Cherry Imperial Stout
On tap, at Brass Tap, Coral Springs with Audrie, pours a deep black dark red pour with a small beige head . Nose is rich malt and chocolate. Taste is smoky chocolate and malt but not much sourness or cherry ...which may be because I am puffing a cigar. Finishes on malty chocolate notes, dryly with a short finish. Expected much more . Quaff Score 7 / 10

Bottle as a gift. The aroma is pure vomit, rotten cheese. Absolutely disgusting. Taste is an improvement, blueberry, some grain, bit less vomit, clean finish. But all in all some pretty grim stuff.

Blue Point Hoptical Illusion
(12 oz bottle, North Carolina) AROMA: medium hops, leather, pine/bark APPEARANCE: light Amber, off white foam, mostly tight bubbles/foam with a few sticky bigger bubbles, oily head TASTE: soapy bitterness, some coffee/toffee, smoke, orange peel with a touch of grapefruit, some green/herb and celery PALATE: bitter front and back, crisp, some sparkle, solid feeling. OVERALL: not one of those overhopped renditions, so the nose is just average. Lighter flavors of citrus/grapefruit but with some smoke and caramel, good body and balance, average complexity. A decent, drinkable IPA.

355ml bottle. Barely clear, golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly earthy, fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of mango, passion fruit, black currant, bramble, blueberry, caramel malty background. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy, fruity, notes of mango, passion fruit, black currant, bramble, blueberry slowly fade away and give way to a chalky, mineral finish.

it’s not overpowering but it is beery, and flavorful with a fuller mouth feel that is rich and smooth. wafting from a black lager to a lightly smokey and malty brew that has whatever you can imagine in the flavor profile as it really is not overdone in that aspect. tinge of hop.

Beery Christmas # 20 from Saveur Bière. The beer looks like an IPA. The color of the beer is an orangy golden. The beer looks clear, but is clear, but strong light shows some cloudiness. On top of the beer a nice layer of rough white foam is formed. The foam collapses quickly, leaving hardly anything. The smell is average. It isn’t as hoppy as some IPA’s. The hop smell isn’t that special. Its mild and smells a bit like soap. There are some tiny citrusy aroma’s, but not that strong. The smell contains some nice sweets, bitters and sours. It is a nice and balanced smell. It is not very special though. The same goes for the taste. I taste some nice bitter hops, also containing a nice sour touch. A malty sweetness balances the whole thing out. I like the taste. It is a good IPA taste, but again, not very special. No wow factor anywhere. The palate of the beer is good. The body is medium to light and the texture is thin, maybe a bit sticky. The carbonation is rather lively and the finish long and nice. Good beer, but not extremely good.
