9/16/17. On tap at Savannah Taphouse. Hazed purplish pour under an off-white maybe pinkish head. Light dark fruit aroma, hint of lactic, pale malts. Doughy flavor, not very tart, salinity is balanced okay, just barely a hint of dark fruits, some lingering doughy malts. Meh.

Bottle. It poured a hazy copper color with an off-white head. The aroma was of caramel malts, pumpkin, cloves and ginger. The taste was similar to the aroma with more caramel malts, pumpkin, cloves, ginger and maybe maple syrup. IT had mild carbonation and a sweet aftertaste. Decent.

Blue Point Toasted Lager
10-09-2017; bottle; at home (bought at Saveur Bière, as part of their September discovery box). The looks of the beer are fine. The colour of the beer is a rather dark golden yellow, approaching amber. The beer itself is pretty much crystal clear. I don't really see any bubbles rising in the beer. On top of the beer some rough slightly brownish white foam is formed. Foam retention is rather low. The foam quickly disappears, leaving not much. The smell of the beer is rather mild. I hoped it to be stronger. I smell some sweet malts, with a hoppy fresh fruity note. It is nice, but way to weak. There is a nice gummy kind of sweet touch there to, not bad, but all very mild. The taste of the beer is better. It is way stronger. There is a very nice sweet malty flavour. It has a minimal toasty edge, not enough to call it a 'toasted lager', at least not in my opinion. Besides the sweet malts, there is also a touch of almond, some fruits, a slight syrupy touch and nice bitter and refreshing hops. The fruits have a slight hing of fresh apples. It is nice together with the slight syrupy, or caramel touch. Not bad. The hops are a nice balancing factor for the rather strong malts. This makes te beer well balanced. The palate of the beer is average. It has a medium body, is slightly tingling and has a medium high carbonation. The finish contains mainly the sweet malts, caramel and some of the bitter hops. The end of the finish is rather dry. All in all, a nice beer, but not as toasted as expected.

I enjoyed this, the best adjective I have for it is "fun". Somewhat reminiscent of Corona with a lime, but fuller body, deep amber color, bready and semi-dry. This was a good one to drink after finishing up my hurricane prep.

Nice malty lager. Most lagers are to weak and thin for my ale-scorched palate but this one holds up well- will enjoy again.

Amusing, printed can. Brownish vienna appearance, a little foggy. Sweet tea aroma - lemony, tannic. Tart, a little astringent, lime juicy, moderately sweet. Good carbonation, frothy mouthfeel, some toast and a little burnt sugar. Has a certain Arnold Palmer quality to it - a nice fishing/tailgate/19th hole summer brew with a little character. The lime pith bitterness in the finish hung around a little too long. Publix, Village Square.

Blue Point Pumpkin Ale
Clear dark gold to amber pour with a creamy, one finger, off white head. Aroma is pie spice (lots of cinnamon and nutmeg), caramel, a hint of pumpkin earthy sweetness and faint spicy and herbal hops. Flavor is caramel, doughy yeast, cinnamon sugar toast, pie spice, earthy pumpkin, a touch of tartness (kinda lemony) and a mineral, clove and bread crust Carmel finish. Pretty good, nothing too special in the Pumpkin beer world, but it works.

Blue Point Toasted Lager
This bottled brew from a bottle shop was served at a cool temperature and poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a typically carbonated body transparent light orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was lager-ish. crisp with a medium malt hop aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of hops and malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Pours a very hazy slightly pink yellow from the can with with bubbly white head that leaves light lace. Aroma of big salty earth brine and a mild fruitiness. Taste is more to the fruit, like a light citrus stone fruit, then lots of salty brine, with hints of lactic acidity. Pretty solid, not very tart, but very tasty.

Blue Point Citrus Plunge IPA
Pours a yeasty golden orange from the can with bubbly white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma of mild citrus, big earthy sweetness from the honey, and am overarching oxidation. Taste follows, like a mild version of hopslam, the honey oxidation hoppiness with a fairly bracing bitterness. Meh, maybe it’s just not fresh.

Can pours clear bronze color with a big fluffy off white head. It lingers leaving streaks of lace on glass. Smells of bread, caramel, flowers and light perfume. Tastes of malt, spicy hops, toast and a hint of minerals. Light to medium body, solid carbonation, slippery mouthfeel and a spicy, tingling finish. This is a nice clean, easy drinking beer!

Blue Point Toasted Lager
Another disappointment. With a toasted lager I would have expected some significant toast to it, but no. In the aroma I did pick up a hint along with some malt and fresh beer. Flavor has the barest suggestion of toast, lots of malt and significant bitterness more of a bitter sweet or a Sweet Bitter. Sweet up front and a slight bitter finish. An okay beer but nothing worth getting excited about.
