Blue Point Honey Robber
Pours a brilliantly clear 24k gold with a short lasting head of foam. Smells sweet and grainy, toasted malt. Tastes more of toasted malt than grain, on the sweet side though I find some bitterness in the finish. Single bottle from my mixed 6-pack. A sixer of this not in my future.

On tap. Pours a clear copper color with a nice head and bits of lacing. Aroma of malt, bit of grain and quite floral. Taste of malt sweetness, slightly herbal with subtle touch of honey. Mild bitterness and fairly clean finish. Medium body, quite smooth and creamy. Not too bad.

Blue Point Honey Robber
Sampled from a bottle this beer poured a very dark golden color with a large soapy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was faint and a bit yeasty. The flavor was honey, a bit of bread and was fairly astringent. Medium length finish. Medium body. Not good.

Blue Point Toasted Lager
355ml bottle from Asda. Pleasantly surprised to see BPB over this side of the pond. Faint bread/malty aroma, foamy head, strikingly malty and roasted for a lager that still isn’t that dark to look at (compared with some other viennas). Lingering chewy hops make this very much a modern ’craft’ amber lager, but it’s not hop-forward at all. Maltiness defines. Very well made, though not particularly to my taste.

Blue Point Step Right Up
Bottle. Moderate caramel and nuts for the malt, light cooked orange for the hops, moderate dough and meat for the yeast, with hints of nutmeg and toffee in the background. Head is small, frothy turning wispy, slightly off-white, with some patchy lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear copper. Flavor starts lightly to moderately sweet and slightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet, acidic and faintly bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily, with a soft carbonation and a moderately alcoholic finish. A little boozy, but overall a good Belgian Strong Ale.

Taste is very malty, lots of toasted bread, bit of caramel and a lightly bitter orange peel finish. Fairly dry in the finish with a lingering malt taste. Pretty decent. Enjoyed this one.

4/1/17. No joke! 12oz bottle from Warehouse. Clear orange/copper pour with a nice off-white head that sticks. Actually looks nice for what it is. A metallic aroma hits my nose first, some cream, grainy malts, a spicy and floral bite. Grainy malty flavor, corn chips, cream, metallic. Smooth yet bubbly feeling. Eh.

Clear amber pour with a thin, creamy, white head. Aroma is sweet floral notes, a hint of corn, just a hint of citrus and raspberry. Flavor is light honey, dried sweet white bread crust, fruity and thistle floral notes, citrus and berry fruitiness, with just a hint of bitter citrus hoppiness. Light to medium body, fairly neutral on entry, then creamy and drying out slightly to the finish, with a surprisingly bracing hop acid bite backed up by a moderate, but blanketing and fairly sharp carbonation. Pretty good -could drink year round- easy going beer that most people would probably like.

Bottle from Asda. Amber coloured. Very very sweet - like barley sugar and sweetener combined. Almost despite this, it has a very nice mouthfeel - rounded and smooth which then unfortunately leaves a disappointing saccharin aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Post tasting thoughts:
This had some well-rounded fruitiness, blueberry muffin flavor. Dangerous InBev beer.

12-ounce bottled pours black with a ruby tinge when held up to light. Creamy tan head. Carbonation bubbles up glass. Aroma: cocoa, molasses, raisins. Taste: all of the above, plus dates. Mouthfeel; creamy, silky texture. Fairly well-balanced. For an oatmeal stout, okay, but definitely not the best out there.

Blue Point Toasted Lager
Bottled on 19Oct16. This bottled beer’s appearance is a medium sized semi-fizzy beige head with a short retention, transparent orange body, lively, fast rising carbonation, and spotty lacing. The aroma is citrus hops, toffee and caramel malt. The flavor is lightly bitter, citrus hops and caramel malt. The mouthfeel is lively carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. This is a very easy drinking beer that finishes with a mild bitter taste to it. This is a beer that I would drink again.

Blue Point Rastafa Rye Ale
12-ounce bottle pours clear orange with slight off-white head. Aroma: toffee, caramel, bread, pepper. Flavor: salted caramel, bubblegum, anadama bread, rye whiskey. Chewy, slick mouthfeel. Very tasty, yet a bit too sweet for my taste buds. I’d like to see them brew a rye IPA -- even better, a bourbon-barrel version for a rye IPA!

Blue Point Hoptical Illusion
12-ounce bottle pours slightly hazy golden color with thin off-white head. As I sip, lacing clings to side of glass. Aroma: mango, pineapple, sweet bread, pine. Flavor: blood orange, pine needles, malt. Prickly on tongue from carbonation and hops. Medium bodied, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Nicely balanced sweetness and bitterness -- although for me, a bit too sweet for what I consider to be a really good IPA.

Blue Point Summer Ale

Strong tones of blueberry, bubble gum like. Pale golden color with not much head. Sweet up front. Odd mixture of berries and syrup. Bitterness is earthy and harsh. Somewhat balanced, but the bitterness wins out in the end a bit too much on the aftertaste. Watery mouth feel. Meh.

Pours clear copper with a thin white head from the bottle. Slight hoppy and medium malt aroma and this hold true for the taste as well, maybe heavy on the sweetness. It’s a light, thin beer with a some what tart finish.
