BridgePort Stumptown Tart Belgian Style Fruit Sour Ale
22 oz glass bomber from Winco supermarket in S.Salem OR $5.48 Pours a slightly cloudy dark amber/brown colour body with a small light tan head. Aroma quite weak but slightly sour and with blueberry aspects to boot. Taste is quite fruity with a weakened sour aspect to it. The blueberries dominate but there is some raspberry also. Palate is quite nice..the sour aspect does build up eventually in the end. OK but not greagt

BridgePort IPA
12 oz bottle pours a semi-hazy orange with thin patchy white head. Aroma is of grapefruit hops. Taste is citrusy hops with rind and malt biscuit notes but a hint of cardboard. Body is mild and sweet. Overall not bad but I don’t think I would intentionally seek it out again.

Gold with a bit of orange. Some light toasted malt with a healthy crisp bite. Clean throughout. Criminally drinkable. Need an iced sixer of this in a cooler and a canoe.

BridgePort IPA
Bottle from a supermarket in Oregon. Aroma is zesty citrus peel, grassy hops, tropical fruits, light pale malt, soft floral notes. Light sweet and above medium bitter. Body is medium. Tasty, still pretty royally hopped for a very classic IPA.

BridgePort Multi Ball Double IPA
12 oz. bottle, pours a clear orange amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out toasted caramel malt, bready notes and resinous hops. Flavour is sweet and spicy, with resinous hops, spicy earthy notes, and sweet caramel malt. A much maltier IIPA than I generally go for, but the hops are still nice in this. Reaches cloying territory. Meh.

BridgePort ESB
Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a hazy burnt orange almost light brown color with a cap of a little white foamy head. Sly roaming speckled lace. The aroma had the Fuggles sweet to estery floral/herbal qualities coming across the malts somewhat in an acceptable "soapy" fashion. Biscuit sweet malts plead their case for the balance. The flavor blends all of the previously aromas together mostly sweet with that smooth soapiness coming into flow in the aftertaste and finish. The palate was almost medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Pretty smooth all around. Overall, as an ESB, it works, I get it and don’t mind it.

BridgePort BeerTown Brown
Poured into a mug, the appearance was a dark pale orange almost brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off fairly quick. Some stringy lace. The aroma had some walnut/chestnut sweet roastiness rolling around some caramel/toffee malts. Some wood, light hay, cereal and a little bit of earthiness round out the edges. The flavor was a nice blend of sweet to roasty nut to caramel/toffee maltiness. Aftertaste was the blend of it all. The finish was the same. The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, pretty good English styled brown ale that I could come back to.

BridgePort Stumptown Oatmeal Red Ale (ORA)
Slightly cloudy dark amber hue with a thin ivory head. Earthy caramelly nose that’s got some citrusy sweet hops and a biscuity amber malt base. Smooth mild flavor that’s got a little crystal amber tones, light earthy citrusy hops and a kiss of Amber sweetness. Just meh.

BridgePort Multi Ball Double IPA
12 oz bottle from Trader Joe in Salem OR. $1.20 Amber colured body with a small creamy light tan coloured head. CItrus and spruce tip style hop aroma, malts seem substantial and caramel. Smooth yet hoppy taste..spruce, lemon toffee and a bit oh the ole Oregon dank! Mouth fel is pretty nice medium body and medium soft carbonation. Maybe a tad too much raw alcohol in the end Old style IIPA. I liked it but I am going that way nowadays

BridgePort IPA
Originally rated on 12/17/08. A nice light, hazy copper body with a thin off white cap, spotty lace. I thought there would have been more carbonation since its bottle conditioned. Aroma mostly of pine but some citrus comes in. Nice mouthfeel with a small carbonation bite. Flavor of pine and citrus with the malts making a decent showing. Overall i like my IPA’s a little more aggressive but this was fairly decent, and worth a try

Amber color with a thinner, light beige colored head. Dry rye aromas with a little floral hops in the background. Once the volatiles are driven away, I’m left with grain and cardboard scents. Full feel. Slight sweetness in the front. Spice and mild bitterness in the middle and into the finish. Hints of citrus and light fruit. Dry finish. 2/13

American brewerys should just leave the Belgian style beers alone,we have no business trying to duplicate Belgian beers.Once one has tried original Trappist Belgian beers, nothing will ever compare.

BridgePort Kingpin Double Red Ale
Bottle. A: Dark red bordering on brown. Creme color head. Lacing. N: Pine, earth, peppercorn, ample grapefruit, rosemary, more herbs, very bready with rye being the most noticeable ’type’. Bit of toffee and caramel character under the very intense hopping. T: Very bitter with a light sweetness and a good spiciness. M: Medium-light body, very dry, no alcohol, biting carbonation O: I can get behind this. Though not in any respect tamed or subtle, it has the kind of blast that goes pretty well with a social gathering.

BridgePort Tiny Horse Pilsner
Bottle. A: Mostly clear, burned gold in color with a thin white ring of head. N: Malt, bread, some pine, hint of grapefruit, some green apple, hints of lavender. T: Noticeably bitter and lightly sweet. M: Light body, very spritzy carbonation, no alcohol. O: My original rating on this, after a hard day’s work, was 3.6. After a second drinking, I think it’s still fine, but not near to that level. Still, a lot of the local brewers could learn from this one.

GG, Seattle. Creamy thick lace, heavy wheaty suspension haze. Distinct wheat sweetness on nose, green hops underneath. Mildly crisp sip, lives up to the billing as a hoppy wheat ale. Near IPA levels of green hops with a much creamier, ester heavy sweet base. Drinks fine but not fantastic.

Bomber from Boise Co-op. Dark golden, with sudden high head, which rapidly dissipates. First knock, the style needs to hold a big head. Aroma is in the ballpark, yeast, cloves. Taste carries these notes forward, sweet, slightly savory. Slick mouthfeel. Peppery finish.

BridgePort Mosaic Hopped Cream Ale
22 oz bottle from Winco super market in S.Salem OR $3.89 Pours a pale yellow colour with a levelly thick and luscious white head, Aroma not so good though..peanuts and caramel..hint of cinnamon ( very slight). Balanced taste..very malty.buttery creamy toffee to start..touch of stone fruit to end from the hops..juicy aftertaste. Mouth feel is pretty damned good and smooth..again a slight but noticed fruity hop after taste helps out. A nice enough beer

12 oz bottle enjoyed outside in the sun. Not really sure how I feel about a beer with candy in the description, but a fair chance will be given. Out weSoft citrus and malt aroma. Flavor is sweet, as expected, but not the type of sweet I had imagined. Light in the refreshment department. An okay beer for me.

T: Lightly sweet, substantially bitter. M: Light body, no alcohol, spritzy carbonation. O: Eh, I’m not a huge fan of the soapiness on this one, and it’s not too complex. Merely OK

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. From a 12 oz bottle the pours golden orange with a nose of citrus and grassy hops. Some orange peel too. The body is medium. The flavor is the orange peel with the hops added a floral and grassy touch that works well. Finish is lightly bitter and the candy/orange is quite nice. Good beer overall.

12 oz. bottle from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Quite cloudy golden with an off white head. A candy aroma. I taste the orange zest from the peels and the sweetness. I kind of wish it had a little more going on. But it is unique and tasty.

BridgePort Stumptown Tart Cherry Saison
Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Amber in hue and generally clear even after rolling the bottle for sediment. An off white head is one finger plus. Aroma is cherry and sweet malts. Flavor is caramel malts first with those cherries. It really isn’t tart but is pleasant. Earthiness and gentle bitterness. A third through the cherries settle and the saison flavors emerge and they seem to be classic. Malts also seem to be something like in an amber. Alcohol is tasted mid glass. At the finish the beer became quite sweet and syrupy with a bit of herbal on top.

Bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear medium red, with a thin white head that fades immediately. Nose is a very faint, almost imperceptible, aroma of malt. Taste is a faint caramel note which is overpowered with citrus hop notes. Leaves an off aftertaste. Not worth buying again.

BridgePort Siren’s Sound
22 oz bomber purchased from Roth’s Sunnyside Market in S.Salem OR $5.99 Pours a pitch black colour with a perfect looking dense, creamy inch high tan head. Aromas of cream, iced coffee and nicer milk chocolate, some treacle and ash. Taste similar to the aromas but with a nice touch of licorice , Mouth feel quite thin, but OK, for style and the alcohol is well hidden but lends to a dry end which in turn helps with drinking. I actually think this is a very nice entry level Imperial Stout,

BridgePort Kingpin Double Red Ale
I’ve been drinking beers and ales for over 48 years and I love my reds. This is worst red ale I’ve ever tasted. After one taste, I poured a 6 pack down the drain. I tried another Bridgeport product too and I will say I will never buy another, very disappointed.
