Triple fff Distant Sun
Cask conditioned at The Castle Tap, Reading, Berks. Gold with white head. There was a soapy, sharp flavour to this from the start, pipe cleaner notes with apricot. Just acceptable.

Cask at White Hart, Chobham. Vague floral aroma. Light gold. Thin white head. Creamy but blotchy. Medium bitter. Citrus and herbs. Some sweetness into the finish. Medium bodied but on the thin side. Flat carbonation. Dry astringent finish. At 5% it does pack some impact for a gold. However it also drops points for the astringent finish which results in an aftertaste building up which I could do without.

Triple fff Citra Sonic
Cask at The Lyric. It pours clear amber - brown with a medium off-white head. The aroma is quite fresh, juicy, sweet tropical fruit character, pineapple, orange peel, apricot, mango, brown bread and resin. The taste is bitter - sweet, rather juicy actually, peach, apricot, pineapple, grapefruit, resin, pine, black tea, brown bread and a touch of spice with a firm and dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Took me suprise a bit. It has a classic bitter malt base with American fruity hop character. Not that I normally drink pints, but this is a quality sessioner with plenty of flavour.

Triple fff Goldfffinger
Cask at White Hart, Tongham. Sweet, floral and grassy aroma, if low key. Bright gold. Whisps of a white head. Noticeably a lack of bubbles. Sweet with a light bitter vein running through it. Honey, canned fruit syrup, with spices and herbs. Medium bodied. Sticky. Light carbonation. Long finish, which highlights the bitter element it has. I enjoyed this - I find that lagers can be too saccharine and over carbonated. This was sweet but no chemically so and then pretty flat. Being sat out under the benefited it.

Triple fff Alton's Pride
Cask at Swan, Farnborough. Nil aroma. A light brown. Decent creamy white head.Light bitter with an underlying sweetness. Malts and berries. Tinned fruit. Medium bodied. Short finish. It must have been the texture and carbonation that combined for a silky effect but would have downed it in one, despite the taste itself being subdued. Good one.

Triple fff Tangerine Dream
Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Roast aroma. Glossy, dark with red tints. Creamy beige head, on the thinner side. Initial vague sweetness. Coffee roast bitterness. Dark chocolate in the mix. Some citrus into the finish, but the tangerine is never obvious. Relatively light. Slick. Does gain some creamyness into the finish. Astringent. All rather low key. Not so much a tangerines dream as it is tangerine ennui. Drops points for the astringent finish.

Cask at the Bell, Waltham St Lawrence. An attractive copper coloured beer with a loose white head; old fashioned malty aroma; a citrus taste to start with a biscuit body, then some bitter orange marmalade to finish. A proper best bitter.

I was going to add ’Forward Pass’, as a new Six Nations themed beer, however I suspect it was just a rebadged version of this. Cask at Swan, Farnborough. A funky fruity aroma, but dialed down low. Light chestnut. Off-white head, starts off pretty lively before fading slightly. Light bitter. Malts. Some underlying sourness. But really not much going on, so like a rugby match in that respect. Light. Soft carbonation. An easy finish. Goes down easily enough but so would a flat coke, which would be just as inspiring tastewise.
