Marin Mt. Tam Pale Ale
Can. Clear amber, airy white head. Aroma has passionfruit, light pine and caramel. Sweetish flavour, smoothly caramely with nice piney bitter bite.

Marin Three Flowers IPA
Orange pour with a huge frothy head. Aroma is a little spicy and slightly flowery. Light bodied. I think this beer is a little old. The hops have gone from this one and Iím left with flowery notes and lots of grain notes, notably caramel. A little lace present. I bet this is much better fresh.

Marin Mt. Tam Pale Ale
Can from Brewfest Bev. Gold clear with lasting head and lace. Mild nutty pine and citrus grainy aroma. Mild nutty toasted malt sweetness with subdued peachy apricot fruitiness. Complex woody leafy earthy bitterness that really compliments the nutty toasted malts. Medium light body and fine carbo. Very good pale ale.

This left a bad taste in my mouth. Slightly sweet but the flavor is just too much like coffee grounds but without a coffee flavor.

Marin Titania Moon Juice
Big nose and flavor of vanilla and bourbon, roasty and sweet. Abv shows but in a decadent way - not overly hot. This also is brewed with candi sugar and is a delicious desert sipper. Probably the tastiest Marin beer Iíve ever had.

Marin San Quentinís Breakout Stout
Pours a very dark brown with an espresso head. Rich, greasy, ash tray, and caramelized malt aromas. Mouthfeel is bit of a let down. Too light for a beer this big. Flavors all represent the aromas. Just not prominent enough. Missed opportunity right here.

Marin Three Flowers IPA
Pours a mostly clear, fade lighter than classic golden with a white head. Grassy, citrusy hop nose. Soft, cottony mouthfeel. Just enough sweetness for an approximation of balance. Bitterness in spades. Dare I say it seems nearly tart.

Marin Raspberry Trail Ale
Pours a clear medium golden with a short, white head. Very modest nose. Faint berry is noted. Soft mouthfeel with a sharp carbonation sting on the rear of the palate. Unassuming flavor profile. Tartness and sweetness are balanced. Pilsener type bitterness invades a little.

Can from Brewers Haven. Big foamy outburst, very active. Pours a medium. Hold with abundant billowing head. Mild citrus nose on top of otherwise sweet malts aroma. Taste also favors the malts, grassy, not hoppy except for a tinge at the finish, almost minty. Decent weight and feel.

Decent porter, but my main problem is that the taste kind of leaves you hanging a bit unsatisfying because it feels like it makes you a bit thirsty rather than quenching your thirst/washing down your food.

On tap @ Hogs Apothecary. Clear straw colored beer with a soapy white head. Really crisp and bright and easy drinking beer. Floral, grassy, and slightly spicy hops. Just a hint of apple and citrus rind. Nice malt flavor and sweetness, particularly bread and toast. Subtle bitterness and a nice, restrained sweetness. Nice stuff, a pleasant surprise.

Can from Aleś by Mail, drunk at home. Dark gold/amber, tony little bit od white head and quite a bit of carbonation. Papaya, spruce and resin in the slightly muted bit still enjoyable arome. Initial sweet taste, heavy on the małt with more sticky resinous notes. Finish is really short, and palate is thin bordering on watery. But all in all itís an excellent little pale ale.

On tap at Brasserie St. James in the Mission, having ended up here after finding our movie at the Alamo Drafthouse to be sold out. Iíve had this one before a couple of times but havenít gotten around to rating it. Hazy orange gold pour, fruity and subtle aromas. Nice, well rounded hop character with starting bitterness and a tart, sour apple finish. Excellent crispness and balance for a heavy-hitting IPA. This will always be one that draws my attention when I find it.

Marin Mt. Tam Pale Ale
This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with a thin one finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Bubbly to foamy white lacing glosses nicely around the glass in a messy sort of way. The smell started off with subtle sweet to bitter citrus pulp and rind over top of a nice caramel backbone. The taste balanced nicely between the sweetness of the malt to the sweetness to the hops and then the bitterness of the citrus fits in for a nice overall balance. Semi-dry citrus to malt aftertaste. Dry sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Semi-dry citrus/piney - bitterness hitting my tongue - not too harsh. Overall, I wanna say a heavier version of Zombie Dust, slightly...definitely not as smooth as ZD, but I would have this again.

355 ml can. Canned 17.07.2015.
Pours clear golden color with a large white head. Juicy fruits and resin on the nose, mellow hops and pine. Resinous hops on the flavor, sweet orange and mango notes, slight malty bitterness. This was surprisingly old sadly, no cardboard notes or anything like that, just lost the hop edge it probably had. Quite juicy now.
