Marin Three Flowers IPA
On tap @ Marin, nice clear dark yellow with a small head and nice lacing throughout. Smells of complex and bitter hops, nice sweet and floral, citrus notes. Taste follows, very complex hops and layers of bitterness, but also citrusy and light. It's a nice hoppiness, not a hop bomb. Long layered aftertaste

Marin San Quentin's Breakout Stout
Emeryville, Ca - BevMo! - 22 oz bomber. Sable black pour, mocha colored head, Aroma of creosote and licorice. Flavor presents some topsoil notes, a bit of anise seed, solid dollop of baker’s unsweetened chocolate. Nice dryness to the mouthfeel, Rating #51 of my 2017 Northern California vacation,

Marin Airporter Chocolate Porter (2011+)
Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. A big tan head leaves heavy lacing. The beer is dark brown and opaque. Looks to be "meatier" than most. Nose is chocolate, tobacco, earthy, and grain. I taste chocolate syrup and it is big. Some of that tobacco. Gentle fruit, too, and subtle bourbon notes. Alcohol is also tasted. Ron mentions burnt malts and they are definitely there. A hint of soy, too. Not overly complex but nicely done.

Marin Airporter Chocolate Porter (2011+)
This was a joint tasting with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours dark brown being close to black with a dark and big bubbled tan head. Attractive pour. Nose is chocolate, and some coffee. Medium plus body. Flavor is milk chocolate and generally burnt malt. The finish, as it warms, brings a little bourbon and a little vanilla. Along with coffee bitterness. Quite tasty overall. Nice imperial porter.

Marin Mt. Tam Pale Ale
0,35l tölkki Beergiumista. Almost clear, red copper beer with quite small head. Aroma has strong exotic fruits feeling with some wood and caramel also included. Taste has malts, caramel, exotic fruits. The end is bit more bitter, but still smooth and soft. Might be a bit watery, still. Very nice overall.

Marin Platypus Venom Imperial Stout
Brought back from San Francisco by my son, enjoyed together on Father’s Day. Viscous black pour, decent mocha colored head, bubbly lacing, Enticing aroma of prunes, chocolate and licorice, flavor runs along the same lines with a creamy, mouth warming presence of dates, prunes and chocolate syrup. Creamy and delicious. Thick, belly warming mouthfeel, Thanks son!

On tap @ The Cooler. Darker golden beer with a thin white head. This is incredibly sweet. Tastes like applesauce and whiskey for the most part. There’s some vanilla, oak, and brown sugar in there as well. Plenty of fruity esters like the aforementioned apple along with some canned pear, dried pineapple, and golden raisin. Just a bit to much for me.

Can @ Bierbrigadier Eindhoven, cheers Casper! Quite clear orange golden color, average sized white head. Aroma is malts, initially I get a slight grainy hint somehow, but then there’s hop and piney hops. Taste malts, piney hops, bitter hops, nice sticky piney hoppiness and nicely bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Nice!

Marin Three Flowers IPA
Shared with Leslie (who got the bottle from Golden Gate Wines). A straightforward IPA – mellow resin hop, oily and a bit herbal, grapefruit, pale malt, a bit of dry spice. Don’t taste much rye character. Body is light to medium, a little fluffy, good carbonation, dry finish. Nice palate - rounded and refreshing. Enjoyable and very drinkable even not very exciting.

Marin Mt. Tam Pale Ale
Shared with Leslie (who bought the bottle from Golden Gate Wines). Pretty hoppy for a pale ale – citrus peel, pine, lightly grassy and floral. Moderate pale malt, lightly toasted and sweetish. Floral fruity hop dominates, quite fragrant/perfumed, mild spice. Light to medium bodied. Quite nice.

Marin White Widow
Draft at Toad in the Hole. Slightly foggy gold with diminishing fine foam. Smells exactly like a fruit cocktail, the kind in a plastic cup with a foil lid as I imagine you would find on a hospital food tray. Flavors are sharper and more sophisticated, evoking lavender and green herbs. Strong and gruffly bittered, but the finish is clean enough.

Canned. Opaque light amber liquid. Moderate off-white head. Average retention. Malts give melon and honey to the aroma. The tropical fruit note a little subdued. minor starch. The same thing is going on while tasting. Light citrusy bitterness takes care of balance. Halfway successful. Medium body. Good drinkability and lacking charm.

Orange pour with a huge frothy head. Aroma is a little spicy and slightly flowery. Light bodied. I think this beer is a little old. The hops have gone from this one and I’m left with flowery notes and lots of grain notes, notably caramel. A little lace present. I bet this is much better fresh.
