Three Floyds Moloko (Bourbon Barrel)
75 cl bottle @ home (2014 vintage. #365). Pours black with a tan head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are bourbon, vanilla, tobacco, and dark chocolate - with a bitter and slightly alcoholic finish.

Three Floyds Dark Lord Russian Imperial Stout - Bourbon Vanilla Bean
On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2013. TotalCaos getting this! Everyone is just flocking the Three Floyds stand. Anyhow, the first thin noticed is that is has no head. Swirling the glass does not help much either, and itís really dark and black in the glass. Lovely aroma of, yeah you guessed it, VANILLA. Sweet and tons of it. Dark sweet chocolate also, and itís heavy roasted. The sweetness and the vanilla us what sticks in this. Smooth! Oh, my.. As smooth as smooth gets, and the vanilla is just out of this world. Almost like my Crťme BrŻlťe only liquefied and added tons of strong sweet chocolate. What a lovely flavor. Itís a bit far out there on the sweet side, but itís something about that vanilla thatís just like heaven. Ends light dry with a lingering chocolaty aftertaste thatís again filled with vanilla and a little bit of mouthdrying wood. World class! 04.05.2013

Three Floyds Space Station Middle Finger
On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Mild blurry any deep golden in the glass with a really big frothy lasting any lacing off-white head. It has a soft caramel nose with tones of fruity rhubarb. A little grass touch as well. Not extreme in any way but nice. Itís somewhat mouth drying in their taste. Not bad at all, with a really quenchable flavor. Lots of nice hay, some leafs, grains. LONG LASTING tail. A hint of something sour in the aftertaste. Not very typical for the genre IMO. 02.05.2014

Three Floyds Chevalier Bertrand du Guesclin
0.75l waxed bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Quite a cloudy one this! On the border of being murky and deep blood amberish purple in color. A bubbly sidesticking just off-white head on the top. Bretty sour nose with raspberries, cherries and blueberries. Wood sour in a way. Herbal, some wet human skin and traces of caramel. Lot and lots of aroma and itís most definitely pleasant to smell at this. Oh, itís super sour in the taste also. Tart blueberries, cherries and wood. Skogsbśryogurt and lemon acidity. Lemon peel oils actually. Then the blueberries kicks in, reminding me of trips in the forest putting blueberries in my mouth instead if the jar I was supposed to put them in. A really flavorful and fine one! 17.12.2014

Three Floyds Immutable Dusk
0.65l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. A really nice deep dark ruby-red one this, on the border of being blackish. A big quite lacing off-white head safely placed on the top. Quite spicy dry cocoa infused nose. Chocolate, sweet biscuits, mild licorice, not really too much of that hoppy punch I so often hope for - and get in three Floyds beers. Mildish but nice. Tastes also kinda light and thin. Not sure what the abv is on this one, but itís lacking quite a lot on the mouthfeel. A near creamy carbonation. Old coffee, watery licorice and dusty chocolate. This is actually one of the weaker ones Iíve had from three Floyds. Not bad in and way but not really amazing either. 14.01.2015

Three Floyds Quit Hitting Yourself
On tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Pretty much a black one this, yeah. Not jet, but not far off either. The only thing that can remind of a head is clinged on top to the sides of the glass. It smells surprisingly mild - at first. Soft roasted tones, a little bit of dark licorice, espresso and sugary alcohol. Shocked over how mild this is, but it opens up and gains momentum as the glass gains heat. Itís anything but mild in the taste. Wow! A rush of sweetness and a punchy alco warming sensation down the throat. Lots of sweet molasses and musvovado sugar, itís sweet but not directly cloying. Vanilla beans and a lingering molasses tail. What have they done with this? Dunno, but I liked this. Glad itís a small glass though. 12.05.2016

Three Floyds Razor Hoof
0.65l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a dark caramel colored one, blurry and with a off-white sidesticking head. Smells quite old.. Malt dusty, really sticky and nutty also. Smells like a well lagered double ipa/old barley wine. Strange. Tastes quite good in a oxidized woody sweet almondy way. Light oily texture in the mouth and itís just below average in the bubbles. Traces of both alcohol and water in the taste. Slightly bitter with old dandelion leafs. Dusty mild mouthdrying finish and tail. Not a very old bottle, but it tastes quite old. IMO not a saison, but itís hard to argue with a bottle. 25.02.2015

Three Floyds War Mullet
0.65l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Looks quite good this! A really cloudy bright orange one in the glass. The head is almost a little translucent and white, not too big but present. Smells really nice! Power-hopped and really Americanized! Sweet caramel sticky, glazed fruits and even traces of cedar wood here. Lovely. Kinda mouthdrying, lots and lots of piney hops going on here! Resinous, really malt sweet and lovely tasting. Fruity also. Feels nice and oily in the mouth and itís just below average on the bubbles this. Ends with fruity bitter clementine zest and traces of birch. This is how I like my dipas. 26.11.2014

Three Floyds Big Tiddy Assassin - Bourbon Barrel
On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2016. A blurry deep golden colored one with a hefty a decent looking sidesticking grey head. Like the aroma. Itís both sweet and a little red berry tart. Wood snurpy, with gentle lemonade traces. It has a really grainy taste. At least at first. Grains and those unwanted popcorn hinst. Lots of them. Oily in the mouth and below average on the prickling carbonation. Rye bread and a mild white wine vinegar sourness. Oaky and quite a tart finish on this one. Strange. 13.05.2016

Three Floyds Zombie Dust
Sampled from a 0.355l bottle @ Top Hops (BA) Bottleshare: Looks blurry golden in my little glass this and it has a small white head. May I say that this is a lovely nose? Cause it it. Wow! Freshnessbonanza. Lots if grass, fresh citrus and hedge. Almost herbal in a way with some citrus hints in the back. Really fresh and inviting. Yeah, fresh is a good word to describe this puppy. Super grassy with lots of fresh citrus, some faint yeast and green tea. Itís just lovely this! Imagine having access to this. 15.06.2013

Three Floyds Lord Admiral Nelson
0.65l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Only my cat like reflexes saved this from fountain ingen over the table. No gusher, but wants out and it has a massive really good looking near fluffy everlasting off-white head. All this on top of a cloudy deep orangey warm body. Looks nice and smells really nice as well. Lots of malty and fruity nuances. Hard to describe this aroma. Itís almost yeast nutty with a rush of red berries and sweet melon. Yeah, wish every enn could smell like this. This is tasty. Super car smelly and somewhat sweet all this without being too much. Itís spot on the carbonation and it has a fantastic feeling in the mouth as well. Lots of ripe fruity touches with minerally rocks and earth. There is lots of wet rocks and even a little bit of spicy licorice here. So much flavor! My expectations were quite low before popping the cap on this, but wow. This is one amazing esb. 23.10.2013

Three Floyds Permanent Funeral
On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. This one poured a blurry golden not looking body under a medium sized quite lacing white head. Floral hoppy nose. Melon and, yeasty tones. Grassy. Light citrus as well. Nice. Itís almost a bit sticky in the mouth, soft and gentle on the carbonation. Stingy hoppy. Really infused with grassy hops, fruity sweetish citrus. Sharp as well with a strong grape zesty sting. Hedge-like in a way. Lots of flavors. 03.05.2014

On tap @ Mikkeller & Friends. Fist of a new keg! Cloudy and deep orange golden in the glass. A big really lasting and lacing, hefty lacing off-white head on the top. Smells a little bit mild at first. Grape, citrus, pine and a distinct tropical sweetness. Nice, but it opens up more after a few sips. Tastes like a creamy hop juice. Thatís just a wonderful plushy velvety texture in the mouth with a spot on carbonation level. Tropical zesty pine with canned apricots, peaches, traces of lychee and nuts(?) A lovely one for sure! 31.01.2015

Three Floyds DEESKO
0.75l bottle @ Mikkeller Bar shared with my girlfriend. A rapidly fading head on this. Didnít quite catch the color of it before it went away, but the beer itself is crystal clear and really golden. At least at first. Smells nice. Sorrel, white currants, hay, grains, cornflakes and white wine. Honey also present on the nose, as is hints of something spicy. Nice. Tastes pretty nice also this. White currants and lots of brett here. Mild wood, lots of green sour unripe goodeberries and even a little peach. Itís surprisingly fruity this. Thin oily in the mouth and comfortably carbonated. Nice! 01.02.2015

Three Floyds Baller Stout
0.65l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. Oh, a little treat on a Wednesday evening. Looks really good in the glass this. Deep dark brown color vise and it actually still has a good medium sized dark brown head. The first thing hitting the taste buds us peanut butter. I really like peanut butter. Itís also super round and mildly oxidized - in a good way. Licorice and roasted malts. Thereís also mild hops here. Smells really integrated and good. In the mouth this is a thick almost chewy oily and itís just above average on the almost creamy carbonation. Lovely tasting. Really roasted, lots of chocolate infusion here. Itís also nutty like in nugatti. Yeah, no doubt that this is a winner that has held superbly up against the heat of time. Warming alcohol and lingering almost salty licorice in the aftertaste. Just fantastic stuff. 30.09.2015

Three Floyds Amon Amarth RagnarŲk
0.65l bottle from De Bierkooning. Itís really really dark this. I want to go so far as to call it pitch black there it lies in the glass and it has a nice medium sized heavy lacing dark brown head. Smells amazing. Really sweet and caramelly with both strong espresso, thick licorice and a strong powerful roasted touch. I get lots of sweet vanilla here also and traces of smoky campfire in the back. Lots and lots of aroma here! Itís not as sweet in the taste as it was in the area, but itís definitely as roasted and smoky. And then some! It really feels like Iím drinking something black, and I guess I kinda am. It has a thick oily feeling in the mouth while itís just above soft on the carbonation. It has lots of dry chocolate and dry cocoa powder this. It licorice and dark really strongly roasted espresso tones as well. The smoke really comes to its right now the aftertaste. Sipping at this it disappears way to quickly. A really fine one! 27.03.2014

22 oz bottle shared, 2009 white wax, thanks Ratman! Black appearance with a small brown head. Aroma of chocolate malt, vanilla, caramel, toffee, light roasted grain and a hint of vanilla. Similar flavor, adding medium to heavy malt sweetness and a touch of bitterness. Full body, a little thin for 15%. Very slight hint of oxidation (cardboard). Drinking pretty damn well overall, now Iíll have to try a fresh(er) one!

Three Floyds Toxic Maltz
On tap at Lunar Brewing Co., and snifter served showing a clear, medium, orangey/gold hue, with a fingerís width of cream colored foam, and a sheet-like coating of lacing. The nose was floral, Belgian yeast, light malt sweetness, slight spice/phenols, a hint of banana, and subtle fruitiness. The taste was somewhat similar, medium bodied, with fair carbonation, some creaminess to the mouthfeel, boozy warmth, and bitterness that was earthy and pleasantly lingering. Would have appreciated better effervescence, but otherwise, a pleasant Golden Strong.

[Bottle (750ml) shared with GregClow, jercraigs & mabel -- c/o j&m] Pours a hazy orange-peach with a small quick-diminishing frothy white head. Really nice tart aroma, quite fruity, along with red wine notes. Slightly watery, but tasty flavour (7+) is fruity but also very tart and sour -- surprisingly so. Average bodied. Overall itís quite good.

Three Floyds / Mikkeller Hvedegoop

Pours almost pitch black with a tan head dissipating quite quickly. Aroma is pure dark chocolate, soy sauce, licorice, caramelized brown sugar, fudgy. Flavour is very sweet, full of licorice, molasses, maple syrup, chestnut honey, brown sugar, melted dark chocolate and hints of soy sauce. Overall is a licorice bomb! Full body, velvety mouthfeel, very smooth, soft carbonation perfect for the style. I wish it was a little bit more balanced though. Anyway it is very enjoyable. For the sweet imperial stouts lovers like me. (2016 vintage)

Three Floyds Lazersnake
22 ounce bottle into signature teku glass, bottled on 2/13/2017. Pours fairly hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge tangerine, grapefruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, grapefruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, cracker, biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, honey, biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from lingering bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 7%. Overall this is an awesome unfiltered IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modest bitter/drying finish. Very juicy/dank on hops without being overly aggressive; nice balancing pale malt backbone with minimal residual sweetness. A really delicious offering.
