Paceña Pico De Oro
Small white head. Clear yellow body with light carbonation. Vague rubbery aroma. Sweetish sulphury papery taste with mealy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Sweetish toilet papery aftertaste with sulphury notes. Lingery sugary cabbage-like flavour. This is just awful. No way am I going to drink this. (0.35l bottle, from Supermercat Bali, Barcelona.)

Crystal clear yellow swill but damn it hits the spot after walking around all day on Rapa Nui. Taste is very adjunct laden and a strong grain bill, but still able to find it refreshing. A bit sweeter than most pale lagers I’ve had tho.

Bottle thanks to solidfunk! Pours clear straw, small white head, a bit of lacing. Aroma is corn and wort. Flavor is pretty sweet, minimally bitter, pretty underfermented. Light body, lingering chemical taste. Yuk, but thanks for the country tick!

300 ml bottle. Yeasty smell, and waterish high carbonated color. Taste likes a Corona, a little more flavor, but a Corona in the end. Not really understand the change from regular Paceña, but from the packaging. Make a bolivian corona? maybe that was the shot, dunno. Not crazy about this.

Paceña Centenario
A typical industrial lager from warm or even Latin American countries. It is quite crisp, thirsquenching and better served quite cold. Bit grassy, but what comes through the most is the taste of corn. Not an exiting experience beyond having had a beer from Bolivia!

Aus der Flasche getrunken. Sieht gut aus. Ist so dünn, wie die Andenluft in 3600 m Höhe, wo es gebraut wird. Hätte sich nicht unbedingt auf den weiten Weg machen müssen.

Aroma: sweet grass and corn with some white wine; Appearance: pale straw with clear pour and thin, white head; no lacing; Taste: budweiser-esque except possibly more tasteless; Palate: light body with no finish; Overall: as close to drinking water as you can get, but not objectionable otherwise. Would not buy again.

Aroma - mostly caramel malt and grain. Appearance - pale yellow, with good nucleation. The head 1 1/4" and white, and fades into a foam rather quickly. Taste - has a rich bit of caramel malt, cereal, some grain, but very light on hops. Palate - body is on the light side of medium, the texture is smooth, the carbonation is soft, the finish slightly grainy and a little fruity.

11.8 oz foiled wrapped bottle served in a pint glass. 4.8% ABV. Pours clear golden with lots of visible carbonation. The head is white, a bit sudsy, and quite durable. Frankly, I had rather low expectations for this beer but it is actually good ... not exceptional but a solid pilsner lager with decent balance and no obvious flaws others than those one might attribute tot he style itself. Lightly sweet up front and more balanced by the finish and leaves a mildly bitter and moderately hoppy aftertaste. Light body with suitable carbonation.

Bottle shared at the Bruery. Pours perfectly clear pale yellow with a frothy, white head. Lovely cheap pale lager, with notes of paper, light cereal, hay and white bread. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly sweet to conclude, with more paper notes, crispy cereal. Just about what you would expect.

Pours a glass full of gold content with a small (just about a finger) white head that quickly settles to only a small lacing. The aroma is gentle. There is some malt and also some grains. Also some sour aroma is noticeable. The taste is slightly sweet at first but the body is completely bland with no real finish. Lacks some bitterness and is slightly watery. Drinkable, but not much to the taste. Refreshing
