De Cam Nectarine Lambiek
Bottle shared at the London tasting, October 2016. I thought this was the highlight of an evening of great beer. Powerful aroma with yeast and fruit. Very sour, nectarine, or at least citrus comes through well in the flavor, more yeast here. Great palate and carbonation. Among the best beers I have tried ever. Thank you very much for sharing this with me.

Thanks to Huhzubendah for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing well filtered ruby red with sparse white foam. The nose shows acetic brett with fruit notes of cherry and blackberry with hints of plum. The palate is medium bodied and highly carbonated. Moderately tarted with lightly intense mixed fruits of cherries, blackberries, and light plums. Acetic with light bretty funk.

Sour, fruit, wood, bacterias, rubber, cheese, intense and the flavour is even more intense! Lots of fruit and sourness. Great lambic with nectarine! Incredible tasty! Wood and funk, bacterias, crisp, cheese, etc etc yummi! Aftertaste is fruity with wood and bacterias... Low carbo, lively funky and dry mouthfeel, more than medium bidied. Fucking great!

Bottle. Etre Gourmet. 6.5%. Bright gold. Soft haze. No head. Nose has a ton of cheesy funk. Fusty cellar. Damp dog. All of that. Some fruit stone on top. The nectarine really comes through at the end, all juicy, pulpy and stewed. Taste is tart and slightly sour. Some fruity sweetness. Clean, astringent and cleansing mouthfeel. Light sour, lightly acidic finish.

De Cam Oude Lambiek
375mL 2000 bottle at Akkurat, 11/28/16.
Clear, bright, peachy-tinged golden; soft, warm hues and just a touch of carbonation from its long captivity in bottle.
Nectarine, lemon, cheese rind, light vanilla and touches of dusty, earthy malt all provide a charmingly funky but "clean" nose for such an old, small bottle. No oxidation whatsoever, or at least not manifesting itself negatively here. Funky, bright brett with soft tropical fruit suggestions and lots of lactic acid lingering on the end.
In the mouth it’s still, of course, but with just a touch of frizzante-like charm. Meyer lemon and hints of honey soften the hard lactic bite. The wateriness inherent in a still beverage spreads out the sourness instead of concentrating it, thanks to the ultra-dry body; though make no mistake, this is not thin. The end result is a phenomenally drinkable, quenching, simple drink, with moderate funk and a pleasing sour bite on the end. This is exactly what I envision when I think of unblended lambics. If I had to drink a 3 Liter of beer to myself, this is pretty damned near close to what I’d choose.

De Cam Oude Faro
Well-kept 2009 edition, sampled winter 2016. Not always the best experience with long time aging of Faro but this one made it really fine. Slightly unclear golden body with almost no head at all. Nice mature aroma with smooth funk, wood and a hint of brown sugar. Flavor is sweet, but not too sweet, in fine balance with the acidity. Quite funky flavor for a Faro with just a hint of caramel, brown sugar and smooth fruity acidity. Fine balanced body and long lasting, very pleasant aftertaste that almost doesn’t feel sweet at all. Very pleasant one.

De Cam Oude Geuze
Poured from a 750 ml bottle; likely 2015. Aroma is nice with a moderate oak notes and quite a bit of barnyard, earthy funk. Some light citrus notes. Hints of stone fruit. Pours a hazy, pale copper-orange with a large, frothy, white head that recedes quickly to a thin film that lingers in clumps in some spots. Flavor is fairly acidic and slightly harsh. Light sweetness. Moderate oak notes with hints of citrus and stone fruit. Light earthy, barnyard funk with a light herbal character. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright geuze and better than other bottles of this beer that I have opened, but its still a bit off. Carbonation is definitely too high, but also the flavor and aroma is not as deep and complex as it could be.

De Cam Oude Kriek
Poured from a 750 ml bottle of unknown vintage (likely 2012 or 2013). Aroma is moderately fruity with bright cherry notes including cherry pie and juice. Light tropical fruit notes. Light tannins and cherry skin with light oak. Light leafy, herbal phenolic notes with hints of an earthiness. Pours a moderately dark, purple-red with a medium small, medium thick, pink head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers. No lacing or legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a moderate acidity that is well rounded. Light oak notes with medium light herbal and earthy phenolics. Moderate cherry notes with lots of cherry pie and juice notes. Light tropical fruit and lemon. Light tannins and skin notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice oude kriek, but I have had better bottles. The cherry and oak notes are nice, but the earthy and herbal funk notes could be a bit stronger.

De Cam Kriek Lambiek
Poured from a 750 ml bottle, vintage unknown but probably 2012 or 2013. Aroma is full of nice cherry aromas with rich, juicy notes. Some medium tannin and skin notes with some light herbal, phenolic notes. Light oak. Pours a deep, dark, purple-red with a small, thin, forced pink head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers. No lacing or legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a moderate acidity that is slightly sharp. Lots of cherry notes, juicy, tannic, and meaty. Some skins and pit notes. Light leafy notes with a touch of an herbal character. Some light earthy and barnyard notes. Light oak. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low to no carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice kriek lambiek. Lots of complex cherry flavor and aroma. Good earthy and herbal notes from the lambic that add a deepness to the cherry notes. This is good, but I have had better bottles of this beer.
