Cascade Blackberry Ale
Thank you kraddel! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ "Adam Chandler Visiting (for real this time)" Tasting. 2014 Vintage. Dark berry red, head fizzes away. Nose is mellow vinegar, blackberry skins, acidic, blueberry pulp with vinegar qualities. Taste is puckering medium vinegar blackberries, acidic, acidic vinegar. Too carbonated, some vinegar fizzy. Not the best Cascade but a decent USA Vinegar forward sour, bit too fizzy. Simple but not bad.

Cascade Cranberry
Cloudy, pinkish with a thin head. Has a fair amount of cranberry on the nose, with light lactic and a bit of yeastiness. As it warms some spicier clove and star anise notes come out. Tart, cranberry-focused, just a touch of balsamic. Not the most complex Cascade- itís certainly fruity but doesnít have much sweetness nor barrel character.

Cascade Cranberry
Draught at Darbyís Gastown, Vancouver; 6.9% ABV
Murky blood orange color. Some aroma of fruit pie, later I saw that they use cinnamon, and now it makes sense. Good body strength, not too dry; the juice flavor is nice, the cinnamon is delicate and fits in, it has a mild funky and vinous character, not too much complexity though.
Very good.

Cascade Blackcap Raspberry
Bottle share with Henry. Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a crisp semi-dark purple hue with a thin white cap softly dissipating to leave barely any lace. The aroma had the tart to sweet blackberries up front, light lemon pulp and rind sweet and bitter tones, and some easy going sour acidity levels coming around to lighten the overall nose. The flavor brought the tart to the sour to the sweet melding with the acidity and bringing in a little bit of woody sweet displacement. Acidic sour to tart blackberry sort of aftertaste flowing into the finish. The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it as the acidity did start to get fairly heavy. Wasnít too bothersome as the carbonation came to displace some of the tartness. ABV felt as projected. Overall, pretty nice blackberry sour ale that I lucked out on to get to try. But the prices of Cascade seem to keep me away from more purchases.

Cascade Apricot Ale
Bottle with Henry. We both poured into tulips. My observations: the appearance was a transparent golden color with a slim amount of carbonation bubbles rising at a slow pace. Fingerís worth of white foamy head slid off fairly quick. Not much lace. The aroma had a nice blend of sweet to tart apricots, lactic behavior, sweet wood, smooth sweet grassiness, a touch of pine needle, light floral tones, and a little bit of white grape/vinous quality at the end, acceptable. The flavor blended the sour to the tart to the sweet very nicely. Apricots with a little bit of vinous and oaky tones run over some hay to semi-dry grassy aspects to guide into the aftertaste and slide into the finish. The palate was almost medium bodied, seemed to sit just a touch under and creating a pretty good sipping quality about it since the acidity did seem to produce the expected harshness I got, but wasnít too bad. Carbonation did feel on par and the ABV felt just a touch under, but wasnít too far off, maybe closer to 7%. Overall, lucked out on getting this one. Thanks Henry on the share because I donít think I could have afforded this.
