Birra dal colore arancione. Schiuma molto cremosa e persistente. All’olfatto note floreali, agrumi e caramello.

Time Out Strafe seitens Ratebeer führen 😉. RUND !!! Definitv !!! Der Belgian Spice Charme ist selbstverständlich allgegenwärtig 😎. A Good One !!! 0,33l Flasche aus dem mystischen Belgien. Low Price Supermarket Stuff ...😀.

Tap. Almost clear golden with a nice white head. Lovely rich aroma of citrus, zest, spice (clove, corriander, pepper), lighter notes of tropical fruits, dried apples, candy and mint. Tastes medium sweet with some spicy bitterness to back it up; low sourness. Medium body, medium to high carbonation, low stickiness on finish, no fusels. Excellent!

(Chatteau D’Ychouffe Red Grape edition) Bottle 750ml at home, served into a tulip, ABV 8.5% Bright red colour on the body, cleat, with intense activity in the glass and a tall and thick pinkish head on top, with very good retention. Aroma of red fruits, marmalade, jello, candy sugar. Taste is mostly sweet, again red fruits and marmalade, some lactose now, candy sugar, red grapes but very faint. Medium thin body, good amount of carbonation. Not bad at all, just nothing special.

Interesting combination of a Belgian triple but than with more hops. Not in an aggressive way. The bitterness is present, but not as much as an IPA. Grain, grass, some lemon, subtle grapefruit. Creamy. Long finish.

Bottle. This is one of those iconic beers that I KNOW I’ve had before, but then am amazed to discover I’ve not entered notes on RB. Classic to style, this pours with the perfect golden hue, with just a subtle haziness. The head is both towering and holding. The aroma is prototypical, classic and quite Belgian. It’s a delicious and lick-lipping drinker, light and golden, with just the right artisanal touch of spice. Exceptional. (#6504, 2/15/2017)

Bottle, 75cL. Home. An orange light opaque beer with a medium white head ; average retention. White dry wine nose, sugar, light caramel. Medium to heavy sweet, light dry fresh windy, pretty warming. Medium body, thin oily texture, fizzy carbonation, sweet warming dry finish. Overall, dull ; strong, heavy, sugary ; no hoppy or grainy or yeasty character ; not convincing at all.

Very "N’ICE" beer. Very unique complex aromas. Both deep over-ripe fruit with woodsie forest and fresh tropicalness at the same time. Flavors just as complex and with similar notes. Tastes like a beautifully done dessert. Only downside: not enough head.

Review: 330 ml Bottle of La Chouffe: ABV: 8% La Chouffe is an unfiltered blond beer that re-ferments both in the barrel and from the bottle. On pour got a big frothy white head that retained, with a golden appearance that later settled down to an orange hazy cloudy hue. Some small carbonation and some thin lacing. Not bad looking. Very fruity aroma which I found very nice, lemon, orange, banana, a variety of fruits on the nose. Also found the fresh coriander on the nose Smells good, sweet malts on nose too. Smelled quite strong, with the Belgian yeast also apparent, but overall it was a nice, pleasant smell and well balanced. Ok, it is another one of these strong tasting Belgian Ales that I find difficult to appreciate. Strong Has a lot of fruit flavours in it, lime, bananas, peaches, apples……and the coriander that seems to be prominent throughout. Found it quite similar to the Delirium Tremens which I reviewed not too long ago. Not quite the same style of beer I know, but unlike that beer, I found this one much more palatable on the stomach and taste buds. Bitter aftertaste, very bitter. Not bad though, grows on you with the gentle floral hops A bit of a slow burner, and quite tasty, albeit strong in the alcohol. I definitely do feel the alcohol kicking away. Yeasty! But having said that it is not too overbearing with the alcohol, manageable. After the second bottle, I think it isn’t too bad, not great, but ok, a nice crisp taste, but would like to try a few more to give a more definite review.

Still don’t know what that flavour is (thinking its banana) but its present in almost all the Belgium beers I try and unfortunately I don’t like banana at all. It is quite mild in this beer, however, so I still find it quite enjoyable. Apart from that its a great beer (nice level of bitterness) and I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have issues with this flavour!

Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen IPA Tripel

I bought this bottle from Amstein and I drank it two days ago at home. In my point of view, it is a delicious Belgian brown ale. It is better to drink it not so cold. The taste is sweet and bitter. There is malt, candy sugar, honey, hop and the taste is really well balanced, good beer for the winter days!!!!!

Hazy golden beer with a huge white good lasting head. Aromas of fresh hops, citrus hops, floral hops, tropical fruits, caramel, grain, bit of biscuit. Taste is hoppy bitter, light sweet in the beginning, more sweet malty in the middle part with a bitter-sweet aftertaste with white pepper. Alcohole. Creamy texture, average carbonation, medium to heavy body. More Ale than Tripel in my humble opinion. Okay.

A perfect Belgian Christmas ale. Pours a dark red brown colour with little head. Aroma is faint, malty, sweet and refreshingly citrusy. Flavour: big body, very sweet, extremely malty, definite orange flavour, refreshing and surprisingly bitter and quite hoppy. Finish is not too long, warming and bitter-citrusy. Excellent easy drinking ale!

330 ml bottle from Colruyt, Antwerp. Served in Trappist glass. The aroma of the hops dominate this beer: Floral, lemon and herbs. Taste is very bitter and slightly sweet. Carbonation is medium. Intense aftertaste: You can feel the hops aroma for a long time. Alcohol is well hidden, this beer has actually 9 %, but you cannot feel it. Colour is golden, foam head disappears quickly. Close to a perfect Tripel!

Poured a cloudy dark orange with creamy white head that stayed for years. Aroma mild, soft bread malt, doughy, and faint herbs (not sure what). Flavour eludes at first sip; an assault of warming alcohol. Complex; seems to have a bit of everything hiding behind the booze. Quite bready with a mix of light sweetness, medium bitterness, and light sourness, mixed with a good helping of cloves and spice. Full bodied and thick textured, with dense soft carbonation, and a long bitter-alcohol finish - beautiful palate. Overall, a damn fine brew and I will be keeping it in mind for special occasions, but only those I will not be driving a car afterward. **Wife tasted it and said, "gah, tastes like beer wine". Bless her.
