Barley and Hops Ambulette Belgian Blonde
Pours a clear pale gold body with a wispy white head. Light aroma, just a minimal hop note and a hint of fruitiness. Lightly sweet pale malt. The flavor is a little fruity with a gentle floral hop note and some minimal yeastiness. Light bodied and easy drinking with soft fizzy carbonation. Decent

Barley and Hops Taniwah Islander Saison
Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold body with a minimal fizzy white head. The nose is fruity, earthy, some light bubblegum, some wheat, and a light yeastiness. The flavor is almost more Hefeweizen like than Saison like. Very fruity and estery with a gentle perfumy finish and a bit of earthiness. Interesting stuff. Light bodied with a slight clinginess. Decent drinker, but quite an atypical saison.

Barley and Hops Annapolis Rocks Pale Ale
Clear dark gold body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is light fruity hops and a bit of citrus over a pale malt base. The flavor is a bit bland, just a hint of bitterness, minimal floral hops. Short finish. A little boring for me. Light bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Meh.

Barley and Hops Catoctin Clear
Clear pale straw body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is very light, just a bit of bready malt with a light hint of corn. The flavor is just as light and minimal. No hops at all, just a minimal crackery pale maltiness and a touch of corn sweetness on the finish. Light bodied and fizzy with a short finish. Meh, not much of a Kolsch.

Barley and Hops Moko-Pacific IPA
Clear copper body with a one finger foamy off-white head. The nose is big juicy New Zealand hoppiness, light malt impact, so juicy with tropical notes. The flavor is all huge juicy and fruity hops, very little bitterness, nice light malt base that stays out of the way. Excellent IPA. Lighter bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Great beer.

Barley and Hops Pete’s Patsy
Clear amber body with a small wispy beige head. The nose is fairly light, some toasty and caramel maltiness, light hops. The flavor is pretty standard amber ale flavor, toasty but not overly sweet. Light bitterness. Medium bodied with soft fizzy hops. Solid amber, won’t set any beer geeks on fire, but solid

Barley and Hops Double Vision IPA
Copper body with a small beige head. The nose is big heavy citra hops backed by a caramel malt base. The flavor is all citra on stage, there’s a heavier caramel malt sweetness than I would like, but there’s so much citra in here that it overpowers the sweetness and you don’t notice it nearly as much as you would think. There’s a bit of that classic citra cattiness in there, but I kinda like that, so no issue with me. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Great lingering bitterness and citra flavor.

Barley and Hops Mexican Pointy Boots Stout
Pours a clear dark brown body with a small wispy brown head. The nose is amazing, loads of chocolate and chili pepper with some roasted malt. The flavor is a bit heavier on the spice than I was looking for, but it’s still really tasty. Lots of chocolate, a nice chili heat on the finish that outlasts the chocolate sweetness. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Really delicious, though not a pairing for my spicy fish tacos.

Barley and Hops Vinz Clortho Smoked Gose
Cloudy yellow body with a minimal wispy white head. The nose is super refreshing and bright with a heavy citrusy note, some brine, pale malt, and some nice light smokiness. The flavor is a bit heavy on the salt perhaps, but I like the smoke flavor. It’s quite interesting and refreshing. Pairs really well with the fish tacos I’m having. Really refreshing and thirst quenching. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Lingering salt and smoke. This is rather good as well.

Barley and Hops Drunk Dial English Porter
Clear dark brown body with a small wispy brown head. The nose is chocolate and roasted malt with a nice coffee note, some light English hops, and a little bit of a hard water/mineral aroma. The flavor is good, on the drier side, with a nice chocolate/roast balance. Just enough hop and malt bitterness to keep it balanced. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation and a lingering cocoa finish. Pretty good stuff as well. This place is surprising me.

Barley and Hops Bark Side of the Moon IPL
Clear yellow gold body with a small frothy white head. The nose is very light, just a touch of bready malt and a gentle citrusy hoppiness. There’s a slight tea like note in there as well. The flavor is maltier than I expected, a fairly heavy doughy and bready maltiness. The hops are lightly bitter, but that makes it quite easy drinking. A lighter, breadier IPA. Light to medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty decent stuff.

Barley and Hops Gored Pumpkin Dunkel
Clear dark copper body with a small tight bubbled beige head. The nose is full of pie spices over a bit of pumpkin and caramel sweetness. The flavor is actually pretty tasty, they kept the spice to a fairly low level, just a bit of cinnamon and vanilla comes thru. Rather smooth and easy drinking for a spiced beer. Medium bodied and just a touch clingy with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty good stuff.

Barley and Hops Oktoberfest
Clear copper with a small wispy beige head. Nose is sweet Munich and caramel maltiness, limited hops, smells well lagered. The flavor is a bit thin, some caramel malt, just a hint of bitterness on the back end. A little too light bodied for my preference in the style.
