Okanagan Dry Pear Cider
Pours like water.... after the minimal fizz goes it looks like rusty tap water. Aroma is stagnant sweet stale. Mouth is carbonated and goes quick. Pear flavour is minimal. Very watery... light dryness.

[8851-20161029] 473mL can. Fruity pear pear pear aroma has a bit of a lime leaf note. Clear, super pale greenish-tinged watery colour body with no lasting head. Sweet apple fruit and Jolly Rancher pear-infused flavour. Light body. Average, like a cooler. (6/2/6/3/10) 2.7

Okanagan Ginger Apple
Tasted from a can. Pale colour. Low carbonation. Strong aroma of artificial apple. Very sweet. Tastes like a jolly rancher candy. Medium acidity. Low-medium astringency. The sweetness hangs around providing an aftertaste. I tried to detect the ginger. There is no ginger aroma and possibly a tiny bit of ginger taste hidden behind the sweetness. The ingredients list just apple cider and flavor. I’m not sure how they made it so sickly sweet. Does not taste like real cider. Never again. My step mother in law likes it.

Not a huge cider person but this was impressive. On the sweet side, but very enjoyable. Tasty and crisp enough.

Okanagan Dry Pear Cider
2016-10-29. Crisp, almost clear pale yellow. Aroma of pear and pear skins, sweet canned pear syup. Flavour is similarly sweet up front, dry apple notes in the finish similar fruity pear character throughout alternates between fresh very ripe pear and having a vaguely artificial quality to it. Not as complex as I normally prefer, but less rough than some perry. Okay. 7/3/7/3/13 Can from the LCBO, Toronto.

Okanagan Dry Pear Cider
pours clear almost translucent without any cap or bubbles atop, healthy vertical furrows. perfumey over-ripened bartletts, their sometimes pasty brown flesh, pear-flavoured candies, kind of artificial, some sweetness - pear syrup in canned diced pears. moderate carbonation - prickly at first then very dull shortly after; light body, sweet artificial finish. NOT a dry perry. sweet and perfumey but not horrid.

Can from B’s Liquor Store, Langley
Color so pale, almost water. Smells like a fruit candy, pear somehow. Sweetish carbonated pear flavor, moderate acidity.
Not too bad, but it’s like drinking an alcopop.

Okanagan Cider Harvest Pear
Can, pours a hazy clear colour with a small white head. Aroma brings out artificial, perfumey, sweet pears, not much else. Flavour is very sweet and artificial, with perfumey pears, sickly sweetness and perfumey notes. A typical commercial perry -- sweet and artificial. Not good.

Okanagan Dry Pear Cider
Brutal. I’ve never had an allergic reaction like this. I had a coughing fit and stuffed nose after having only 3 of them. Since I’d bought a case, I tried them several nights on several occasions. This is filthy stuff (tastes OK and very sweet for a ’dry’ cider. If anyone has paid attention, the ingredients in this ’pear’ cider are only two: apple cider, and natural flavour. Both ingredients that are, likely, comprised of multiple ingredients. Absolute shit. Will never drink another drop again. I recommend Brickworks Cider 1804 (name might be a little off, but that’s close). Single ingredient is: apples. Delicious. Feel great after drinking it -- no bloating. Less than half the sugar of the Okanagan ’dry’ ’pear’ cider. Okanagan is shit and you won’t drink it if you respect yourself. Or alcohol.

Nice sweet pear flavour and aroma but no complexity. Clear and refreshing but does not hold a candle to proper European perries.

Can 473 ml
Aroma; dry true pear feel. Clean, maybe tad too phenolic.
Look: flat top. No head. Base - clear pale almost clear with slightly greenish gold hue.
Body/Taste: tad oily in the mid. Sugary pear notes with dry walls and finish. Pear is hard fruit to work with and it shows, Decent try.

Pours very pale yellow like a white wine. Aroma includes pear, but it is very muted. Tasting notes include pear, and is very sweet. For a ’dry’ cider, this is rather sweet. Not bad, but not expertly crafted.

Okanagan Dry Pear Cider
Can from the LCBO. Very light yellow-gold pour with a greenish tinge. Aroma of overripe sweet pear, with a bit of apple. Flavour opens candy-ish pear sweetness that is bearable at first, but quickly gets cloying, especially as it warms up. This disappears quickly in the watery middle, and the finish is oddly sharp and almost bitter, but not in a good way. Pretty poor effort all around.

4oz sample @ Medicine Hat Beerfest 2014. Extremely pale yellow, fizzy carbo. Thin cider with a flavour more akin to apple than pear, but overall more watery than anything. I suppose it is indeed dry though, I’ll give it that! Didn’t finish my sample.

Fat Chance Cider
This can states that it is brewed by the Fat Chance Cider Company, but it gives no address other than Vancouver BC. There is no trace of such a place (physically) at the postal code provided, but I did manage to trace this product back to the Mark Anthony group, who owns Okanagan Cider Co. Apparently they are fighting trademark issues with the name Fat Chance? Anyway, on to the cider: medium golden, medium carbo. Syrupy apple aroma and flavour, overly sweet, moderate/high carbonation. Very much a cookie-cutter simplistic HFCS-sweetened cider. Not worth the hassle it took me to find all this stuff out about it.

Very light yellow pour, tiny white head. Aroma of wet paper, light fruit, i cant say i can pick out pear. Lively carb, and mouth feel. The finish is light on the sweetness, and actually a little bitter and watery. More wet paper and very light pear, this isnt great.

2L bottle. OK the "New" on the label scares me. Clear, very slight yellow tinge, carbed. You know those fizzy light soda-like drinks they sell in supermarkets in 1L bottles, this smells exactly like the apple flavoured ones. Flavour does have some sweet cider, actually it’s much better than the nose. Sugar in there, perfumy, very slight tannin, even. Not really for cider lovers, though, way too sweet and soda-like, the nose absolutely kills this thing.

Can: Poured a dark golden color perry with medium carbonation. Aroma of sweet pears is quite strong with some use of enhancer or non-natural flavors. Taste is overly sweet with some pears notes. This is not a perry I would seek again. It is a bit disappointing tasting all the fake flavors knowing that producing perry is not necessarily the most difficult thing in the world. Still, I would say that this was a notch better then their cider.

Aroma: Pear, apple, green apple candy, cinnamon...? Some acidic aromas as well.

Appearance: Pale green/yellow color, lots of bubbles, crystal clear. No head.

Taste: Pears, apples, some spices.

Palate: Alcoholic, artificial and thin. Somewhat bittersweet aftertaste.

Overall: This is fucking greasy. Cheap, gets you wasted and any 15 year old kid could gun it thanks to the artificial alcopop taste. It’s not horrible by any means but I think if I drank a decent perry and did a comparison I’d be less accepting.

355ml can. 5% abv as per can. Pours almost clear, just a light greenish tinge to it, no head to speak of but lots of carbonation fizz. Sweet nose of pear and pear skins. Fruity pear taste that sweet up front but dries out at the end with some pear skin notes and some slight tanginess. Light body, carbonation is high. Has some refreshing qualities and doesn’t taste overly fake.

Okay cider with no real sweetness, but it has no real head (I like head on a cider, often hard to find) and a light gold colour. Good wood-apple flavour with no cloying sugars and a dry finish. Palate could be more firm. Just okay.

Bottle, pours very very light, colour was almost white, aroma was of a nice sweet apple, it did smell ’crisp’ even. The taste was a little too sweet for my liking. It wasnt hard to drink but it wasn’t terribly amazing. It taste of apples with lots of sugar added. reduce the sweetness of this one and it could be a good cider

A lot of people have been writing poor reviews about this beverage, but personally I thought it was excellent. I really enjoy dry ciders like strongbow, but I also appreciate the much sweeter taste of this okanagan cider. It seems to be advertised as a sweet cider (and in fact this company makes sweet ciders, not dry ones) It definitely has a lingering taste and is very carbonated, but I don’t think those are downsides to the beverage. But if you’re looking for a traditional english cider, it isn’t for you at all. If you’re looking for a cool refreshing summer drink, then go for it!

Smells like carbonated mayonaise. Tastes like carbonation has launched a gattling-gun attack on my mouth, tastes as though said mayonaise was lined inside the can. This is a trainwreck of a cider. I bought a sixpack, could only choke down about 1/4 of the can, and dumped it out. So appalingly bad that for the first time ever I came online to find their website, so I could send an email asking where to send the remaining cans to. They don’t even have a website. If you are this company, please post an apology to these users here.

341 ml bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits in Halifax, NS (May 2007) sampled out of the fridge from a Corsendonk glass. A big fizzy soda-pop head vanishes instantly leaving a very clear, almost entirely colorless, lightly bubbly body; this could almost be vodka it’s that clear....pear aroma is very faint, seems simultaneously artificial and underripe, slight woody character and faint spiciness (cinnamon) but really on the whole its quite weak and boring....there’s a bit more color in the flavor, but just a bit -- light pear/apple juice taste, sugary and simple, with a thin and watery body and moderate carbonation, virtually zero aftertaste except perhaps for a hint of Sprite. No thanks, I don’t need anymore.
