FlacoAlto	3.2 Odell Bourbon Barrel Stout 750ml bottle that if I decrypted it correctly is from 2015 (very well could be up to 5 years older though); Sampled January 2024. Pours completely flat, without a wisp of a head. The beer is a concentrated brown color. The aroma smells brightly of vanillin, sweet toasted coconut, touches of coffee liquor, toasted woody notes, some spicy oak and warming alcohol. Overall very smooth and inviting smelling. Sweet, which helps mitigate the flatness of the texture (no carbonation), this accentuates vanillin, coffee liquor, sweet bourbon fruit notes, sweet toasted coconut, candied toasted nuts, nutty dark malt flavors, hints of warming alcohol in the finish, the latter accentuated by spicy oak notes, a hint of bitter roast-grain and hop notes (this is not very bitter at all). Some burnt notes linger in the long finish as well. The body is soft and velvety, lighter due to it being wet and no longer carbonated. Given how flat this is, it might be older than 2015, this is still drinkable though as the sweetness helps it sit well on the palate. It is drinking quite smooth and mellowly, which it might not have done when younger, if it had managed to hold its carbonation it might have been still really good. As is, it is drinkable, but clearly should have been drunk sooner. Sunday, January 28, 2024

commonmac	3.7 Odell Tree Shaker Imperial Tangerine IPA 12oz can picked up a Total Wine in SLP. Consumed on a Sat night at home before NYE. No real haze to be found. Orange color with hues of copper and gold. Nose does bring to mind tangerine with a sweet lean to it. Taste doesn't shy away from alcohol presence. theisti	3.7 Odell Harvest Fresh 9 oz Tulip draft at The Peanut in Mission, Kansas. The pour is a slight haze of golden amber with a solid, lasting, one inch white head. Nice thick lace left behind on the glass. The aroma is leafy, herbal and grass. The taste is mineral earth, herbal, leaf, grassy, soft lemon and finishes with the herbal. I see an opaque, yellow liquid with a a slender skim of almost white foam. The smell is not bad, tropical fruit, grain and a touch of hops. I take a drink, hmm, actually nicely done. Melon, juice, a surprising amount of hops, apricots, some amount of malt, lemon and white bread. Some sweet and an offsetting amount of bitter.
