Bottle from Geers. Hazy pale golden/white colour. White foam. Very lemony and tart taste but very drinkable. Tart, citrussy, even some floral notes in the nose. Very nice Berliner Weisse.

Bayerischer Bahnhof / Nordic Brewery Havu Gose
0.4 l draught @ Sori Taproom, Helsinki. Appearance is cloudy dark yellow and still. Well, this looks like the mead we drink in Finland during 1st of May. Taste is somewhat similar too, although this has actually some ABV. Lemon combined with spruce. Not sour or salty. Quite easy to drink.

From tap. There should be category for Imperial Gose. Pours clear light amber brown, almost the color of scotch. Intetesting nose of sour citrus, vanilla, tequila. Tequila figures heavily in the flavors and finish as well. Light malt but mainly dry sour, barrel-aged goodness. Lingering finish, big alcohol. Very unusual, very tasty.

BOTTLE 37 CL shared. BB JAN2015. Clear copper/brandy, sediment, diminishing off-white head. Gorgeous aroma - fruity and nutty, tart fruit, strong but not over the top vanilla, spirit, sherry notes. Dry tart taste, dangerously drinkable. Slightly cidery, tangy, nice salty accent, drying alcohol, gentle oak vanilla. Excellent.

On tap @ Apollon. This is a blurry golden colored one with a medium sized off-white not lacing head on the top. It smells nice. Kinda fresh, a little lemonic sour. There’s also a little wild sweetness here’s. Hard to break this one down. Strawberries and a little juniper perhaps? Smells good anyway. It has a thin oily texture in the mouth and it’s just below average on the carbonation. Prickling. Tastes mild and not very interesting really. A little flat and dry. Hints of citrus oils, juniper berries and branches. Old musky apple peel. Not bad at all, just it tastes a little old perhaps. Ends slightly sweetish. Decent. 30.06.2017

Tap at FdB. Cloudy, copper-ish dark golden colour with small, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Rich and compley, spicy aroma, hints of cardamom, coriander, orange peel. Taste is mildly sweet-and-sour, fruity and spicy, notes of orange peel, hints of cardamom, coriander, nutmeg, clove, underlying hints of sauerkraut, cautious wheaty basis. Not overspiced, but definitely pushing the envelope.

0.33 l bottle from ’Dranken Geers’. Clear, dark reddish amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white layer. Sweetish, slightly sourish, moderately spicy and slightly fruity aroma of caramel, lots of coconut, vanilla, coriander, some lemon and oak. Quite sweet, slightly sourish, malty, slightly fruity and a bit spicy taste of caramel, coriander, coconut, vanilla, oak and a touch of lemon, followed by a long, moderately tart, woody-dry, minimally salty and rather boozy finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily, a bit astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Again a very interesting version of the Goseator, quite complex and intense. A bit rough and unrefinded unfortunately, wouldn’t want to drink this on a daily basis, but it’s definitely worth a try. At least I like it better than the Double Wood variant.
