Bayerischer Bahnhof Goseator Double Wood
Sprittiger Geruch. 9/10/10/10/9/10

Bayerischer Bahnhof Rauch Pineus Gose
Pours a cloudy golden orange on tap with bubbly white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of nice smoked malt notes and a hint of lactic acidity. Taste is more toward the sour with a hint of smoke, lemon, and salty earth. Weird combo, not sure I’d order again.

Bayerischer Bahnhof Original Leipziger Gose
Very restrained in all respects but extremely well balanced, refreshing and moreish. I was expecting more of everything (sourness, saltiness and coriander) so my first taste was a little disappointing, but as I drank through the bottle, I realised that it was actually just extremely well balanced and restrained. What I should have expected from a classic German beer.

Bottle from Beer Store. Cloudy orange without head or lace. A mere malt and caramel note in the nose. Well made gose that’s a little sour, sweet and salty. Harmeless but very drinkable.

You can smell the coriander and sour. The salty sour taste is light for a Gose. Very standard for this type of beer.

Bayerischer Bahnhof Heizer Schwarzbier
On tap at the brewery. Luscious rich dark coffee roasted aroma and taste. Excellent black beer and more stout-y than lager-y, unlike some German blacks. Delicious and perfect for a 5pm wintertime warming beverage. More than one is unnecessary. Very filling. DOPE BEER!

Privileged to taste this in the brewery in Leipzig. It’s a tasty and extremely moreish mild sour. I was expecting more sourness and to be honest I couldn’t taste coriander and hardly any saltiness at all. My partner was able to taste the salt more. We both enjoyed it a lot. Extremely thirst-quenching, fresh and moreish! An interesting beer for Germany. Much prefer Belgian lambics though.

0,33 l Steinie bottle, of course again from kappldav123. Thanks a lot mate! Unclear pale orange in the glass, no real head. No visible carbonation. Tart fruity nose. Taste starts dry, also fruity, sour grape, but drinkable. Nice german variation of a Geuze style.

Wheat smells with some light grassy notes. Pours a pale gold, hazy with lots of bubbles. A white frothy head that dissipates quickly. The taste has salt and sweet/sour finish. I can’t find the coriander but it is a great combination of unlikely tastes and very drinkable. Fizzy with medium carbonation. Really nice style.

750 ml bottle from notes. Pours a hazy golden orange color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, citrus, quite a bit of spices without being over the top, hints of salt, agree with others that describe a better body/mouthfeel than many goses, good.

Initially decided to only include ratings of new beers. But now adding in some older beers, but without details comments. The easiest Gose to track down and it sort of reflects that. Essentially it’s a bit bland.

Aroma: sour and salty; Appearance: hazy yellow-orange pour with thin head; Taste: starts like a gose but then lots of malt takes over; would have rather kept it as a pure gose since this one isn’t very refreshing; Palate: medium body with long, malty finish; Overall: not so great; would not buy again.

Hazy amber/ruby with almost no head. Aroma is lots of smoke, lots of nuts, some chalk, which is not bad. Taste is alcoholic, spicy sweetness, with more sourness and even more bitterness. Flour mouthfeel really phenolic and heavy. There are some red berries as well. Earthy. Too much of everything for me.

Bottle from Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is herbal honey, bread, sticky earthy malts, spiced fruit. Taste is well-balanced... sour, salt, bread, herbal. A very hearty, bready gose. Far more German (obviously) than the newer, American gose style. Definitely worth trying.

Bayerischer Bahnhof Berliner Style Weisse
0.33 l bottle from ’Dranken Geers’, no bb date. Very pale yellow with a thin, fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sourish-fruity aroma of lemon peel, gooseberry, rhubarb and wheat. Moderately sour, quite fruity taste of lemon peel, rhubarb, gooseberry and wheat, followed by a short, moderately tart, quite dry finish. Thin body, moderately astringent and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Not too sour, enough taste for that abv (although very simple), quite refreshing. Still a bit bland, just average for the style.

Keg at Mongoose Vs Cobra. Pours deep amber - brown with a medium tan head. The aroma is musty, funky, bitter - sweet, booze, caramel, herbal, jaegermeister, light spice and earth. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, herbal, funky, boozy, treacle, earth, toasted action, some bitterness and wood with a dry, Woody finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Unusual that’s for sure. Not really sure what this is, but it’s interesting.

Bayerischer Bahnhof Berliner Style Weisse
330 ml. bottle. No BBF. Extremely pale citrus beer, looks a bit like a cheap macro cider, head is instantly gone,… Nose is heavy rotting lemon, rotting soapy wheat, spoiled, sour, too much,… Taste on the other hand is strangely palatable, briefly fizzy, sour soap, bit watery, strongly mineral oddly, coriander, lemon juice, lingering sour lemon soap mineral finish, bit salty,… Watery, massively chugable, crazily so,… Nose is a bit off-putting,… Taste isn’t optimal but it is crazily drinkable,…. Very refreshing actually, massively drinkable,… Not really a beer geek beer, it isn’t the base tasting but its got massive drinkability, its refreshing,… Quite different from the common everyday slur of USA styled Berliners. Interesting beer, I dig it oddly despite the watery lemon, sour, overly mineral & almost vegetable aftertaste, strangely lightly salty,… Strange stuff. I guess drinkability really counts for something,…
