Sharp aroma of vomit and garden weeds. Tastes of cheap hops and a nauseating syrupy sweetness which leaves a sticky aftertaste. Decent carbonation, but overall an unpleasant drinking experience.

I bought this bottle at the edenka in Freiburg am Brisgau. I drank it tonight with my wife. I could say that it is the typical German lager, nothing exciting but if you eat a typical Bavarian wurst, why not. The color is yellow/gold and clear. The carbonation is normal, thin and white foam, the typical song of the lager world. The taste is a bit crispy, metalic, malty, bready, some hop and dry. The aroma is also a bit metalic, a beer after the garden, I prefer the Ganter export, in my opinion, of course.

0,5 l bottle from kappldav123. Thanks a lot, mate! Decent label. Clear golden in the glass with a huge foamy head. Like painted. Low malty, low grain, low hay on the nose. Taste starts thin, low malt, green apples. Very low biterness. High carbonated for its kind. Easy to drink after work beer. Or maybe at work in Bavaria.

Yields a crystal clear, golden color with a big, fluffy white head. Smells of straw, sugared white bread dough and the faintest hoppiness. Well dosed, lively carbonation with a light, very refreshing body to it, drinking perfectly pleasant throughout. Tastes of hay, white bread malts with a bright toffee sweetness to them and a pleasant leaf dryness at the back end. Awesomly build, utmost pleasant drinking and refreshing Helles, with just the right amount of herbal hops to add enough character to the taste, creating a perfect balance.

500ml bottle. Clear, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly grainy, pale malty aroma, grassy hoppy overtones, cautious spiciness originating from grassy hop and husky malt in equal shares, a very cautious, soapy lemon touch is identifiable as well. Taste is minimally sweet pale malty, yeasty doughy, a hoppy lemon dash; minimally bitter and spicy, hoppy finish. Quite simple, but clean, well balanced and refreshing. Definitely on the better half of the style.

13th Dec 2014: 0.3 litre on tap within an open sided wooden hut bar at the Rathaus Hamburg Christmas Market. Surprised to see this, a Bavarian beer so far north. Anyway it came a clean, clear golden colour with thin white head. Slight malty aroma. The taste also on the malty side, not a lot going at all actually, crisp and refreshing but lacks depth or flavour. Bog standard Helles with delicate notes too difficult to pick up when the beer is served so cold and does not warm up because of the weather and where it was drank.
