Green Man Porter
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark brown to black color with a small tan head. The aroma is roasted malt with some chocolate and a bit of coffee. The taste matches the nose. An outstanding porter.

Green Man La Mas Negra
Draft at source pitch black pour with a khaki head. Aroma is mostly peppers with a lightly smokey note. Tatse is earthy at first then the slight heat kicks in. Subtle and well balanced. Lots of cocoa. Pleasant. Would like a touch more pepper but solid.

Draft at source. Aroma is dank. Light lemon. Clear gold pour. Tatse is more mineral and malt forward. Moderate toast. Way more English style than the aroma would indicate. Not bad but I like the regular better.

Taps clear amber with a nice buff head. Aroma features piney hops and a hint of fresh malt. Hops dominate the flavor but share the gustatory stage with zesty fresh malt and tangy citrus. Mouthfeel offers good fizz and body. Way your farer!

Bottle to shaker. Earthy hop nose with light citrus. Some light dirty but in a good way. Not danky. More English. Taste is moderately sweet with a fuggle/ekg hop profile. Decent enough.

Green Man Wayfarer IPA
4/30/2017 (12 fl oz can): Bright citrusy (lemon) hops and green in the aroma with a touch of honey malt; hazy golden yellow color with a small white head; really light almost wheat-like maltiness, powdery, nice grassy and citrusy hops with a some light evergreen, quite floral in the finish, bitterness is moderate overall (and actually not perceived as high as the Green Man Rambler Dry Hopped Pale Ale); medium body, airy mouthfeel; balanced and refreshing, good, enjoyable can of IPA, but really difficult to really think about in the vast, vast sea of really delicious IPA options.

Green Man Rambler
4/30/2017 (12 fl oz bottle): Aroma has dried leaves, toasted malt, and earthy hops; hazy golden amber color with a fluffy off-white head of foam; flavor is much like the aroma and doesnít seem to offer much more (a bit of dried citrus and earthy caramel with a touch of dry cedar) until closer to the finish when the hoppiness kicks in (seems like Centennial long with something with some pine and grassy notes); medium body, soft carbonation and mouthfeel; good, but mostly forgettable, tastes a lot like some recent Goose Island offerings and reminds me more of a slightly hoppy amber ale.

Green Man Porter
Grabbed in a mix and match 6-pack in SC while visiting Myrtle Beach. They actually have Green Man here in FL now, but hadnít gotten around to trying them yet. This porter was the one I really was curious about. This is a very good resemblance of the style. Super dark brown, near black appearance. Rich creamy texture. Sweet up front with some bitter chocolate and hops at the end. Decent balance, but leans slightly on the sweet side. Reminds me of one of my favorites, Anchor Porter. Will probably get an entire 6-pack one day in the future.

Fresh 12 oz bottle in SC. Clear amber body thatís topped by a creamy, durable off-white head. Excellent lacing. Aroma: citrus and biscuits. Flavor: more malt presence than expected but the hops eventually dominate the aftertaste. Feel: soft medium+ carbonation and smooth, light body. Dry finish. Nice but a bit too thin. Overall: a fine APA

Green Man Demon Dweller
750 ml. no bottling date apparent. Deep black with a lasting disc of cream. Aroma is rich mocha, dates, soy, molasses and a touch of char. Tastes of chocolate toffee, toasted peanut, caramel and a bit of whiskey. Finish has some toasted oak, soy and prune. Medium-heavy body is smooth with low-medium fizz and a nice btterness to balance the big malts. A bit of booze peeks through but that may just be part of what the barrel did in this vast improvement on the beer underneath.

From the tap. Not exactly a light golden, but gold none the less. From the start, dank and heavy hop aromas hit your nose and you know this is heavily hopped. Flavor is tropical fruit like mango and papaya, bitter grapefruit, and pine. Finish leaves a thick resin thatís hard to ignore.

Green Man Sunseeker Pils
Greenman is pretty far off the mark with Sunseeker. Starts with a musty slightly vegetal grass aroma. The malt here is too sweet, evoking corn and honey. Hops sit behind the malt. I like the hop bill, but itís not in the right balance. Itís not a drain pour, but there are many better pilsners out there.

Mainly what I get in aroma is black patent malt and molasses not the coffee or Cocoa. Flavors better I do pick up some of the coffee though itís not too fresh and Cocoa. its nice and roasty good body and fairly drinkable. No sign of the strength so far. Good finish.

Can. Head is initially average sized, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is medium brown. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted grain/nuts, caramel), lightly hoppy (herbs, flowers), with notes of earth and autumn leaves. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. An earthy malt-forward example...despite the hops being exactly my type, theyíre just too much in the background to offer much brightness or allure. Watery and sweet in the mouth, without enough of the expected bitterness to balance the sugars properly (this doesnít exactly put the B in ESB). Might be better fresh on draft, though...seems like the brewing skills here are solid enough.

Pour is a dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is a nutty and chocolate malt. Not a huge aroma. Flavor is some mild caramel and earthy malt. Just like the aroma not a huge flavor. Kind of going in the right direction but this lacks some oomph. Double the ingredients used and you may have something here.

Just a flat out good, fresh tasting, American IPA. Aroma is a nice balance between hops and malt. Flavorís like nose and again nice balance between bitter, sweet, malt and hops with just the right amount of carbonation.

Bottle with no decipherable date info into a pint. A: Poured a deep rich orange amber with short thick tan head. Sparse carbonation. Very good retention and thick lace. S: Nice sweet/tart caramel and orange aroma. T: Citrusy orange and leafy hop flavors with medium bitterness. Dry caramel, wood and bread malt notes provide good balance without too much sweetness. M: Light medium body with fizzy carb tingle. Finishes clean and dry. O: Nice all around and not as malty as expected. The hops still shine through nicely. Well worth a buy when in season. Points though for no dating.

5 month old can into an IPA. A: Poured clear medium orange gold with an inch of beige foam, retaining well. Sticky lace. S: Candied orange, spruce and toffee. Light citrus tartness but mostly sweet smell. T: Orange and citrus pith. Stiff toasty bread to counter, ending with spruce/pine. Not sweet as the nose implies but also doesnít taste like 70 IBU. M: Medium body with average carbonation, finishing tart and clean. O: Looks, smells & tastes good. Not overly strong. Whatís not to love? Must be really great fresh.

Can... Clear, brilliant, deep amber pour with orange highlights and a mid-sized, fizzy, off-white head. The aroma is of spicy and peppery hops. Medium-bodied with busy carbonation. The flavor is very bitter, displaying spicy, peppery, German-like hops. Finishes acrid and bitter. This seems overly bitter just for the sake of being bitter. Not much else going on here. One dimensional. My wife loved it. Sheís a hophead.
