Hermann Joes Porter
On tap at the brewpub. The server called this Joeís Stout and the commercial description even clouds the issue. Either way, the beer sucks big time. Black in color with an off-white decent head. Something is very wrong with this beer. Extreme sourness prevails. Highly acidic and overwhelming tartness dominates the taste. Possibly even vinegar-like. No aroma other than the aforementioned mistakes. No roasted or chocolate flavors. Taste is closer to a Fresca or a Wink. YUCK!

Hermann Hermann Ale
On tap at the brewpub. Clear dark gold with a white head that fizzles out quickly. Medium carbonation with a mild hop aroma. Watery body, even weaker than the kolsch. Boring beer.

Hermann Kolsch
On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy dirty dark gold with a white head. Aroma had a slight apricot smell. Hoppy flavor with an odd fruitiness for a kolsch. Served at a warmer temperature than expected. Mildly bitter finish.

Draft at the brewery. Much like the porter, this beer was dominated by a sour taste that I suspect came from dirty lines or old beer. This beer had a bit of potential but the sour infusion ruined it. I couldnít even finish a 10oz sample. Yuck!! I hope this beer was bad and that it wasnít supposed to taste the way it did.

On tap at the brewery. This beer poured very dark with a very thin head. It has a a slightly sour aroma. When I tasted the beer it was totally dominated by a horrible sour taste. I think the beer was bad or the lines were dirty. It was the worst porter Iíve ever had. It was one of the worst beers Iíve ever had. I hope it was because I got the last bit of the last batch at the end of the season and not because the beer was supposed to taste like this.

Hermann Hermann Ale
Light caramel beer with an amber hue. Medium bitterness with a vague hint of citric sweetness. Nice.

This is a decent beer ... light body and character, but a decent coffee/smokiness, yet somehow sweet. Porter for the masses, Iíd call this.

Hermann Spring Ale
This is a dark opaque yellow with a thin bubbly head. My wife called out the honey before we read the description, so it has that syrupy bit, with a sharp grassy edge.

Hermann Pilsner
Medium gold with an average head. Orange-lemon aroma. Sweet citrus with a grain underpinning. Too smooth, if that makes sense. Just OK.

At the brewpub. Cloudy, with a sweet aroma. Not bad, although wasnít very flavorful. Drinkable, yet nothing spectacular.

Hermann Hermann Ale
Best beer at the place. A sort of light Pale Ale. Clear brownish color with a tad of hoppiness to it. Little to no aftertaste. Pleasant.
