Elysian Punkuccino Coffee Pumpkin Ale
From a 22 oz bottle into a North Coast chalace. Pours brown with head and lace. Aroma of pumpkin pie, coffee, cinnamon, nutmeg, rich malts. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of nutmeg, malts, cinnamon, coffee, minerals, pumpkin juice. Overall bold, unique, amazing aroma, modest malt body but tasty.

Pours a golden color with white head. Medium body. A pretty hop forward beer. Dank hop flavor with a good amount of citrus and a slight sweetness. A little atale tasting in the finish but that bottle could be a little past its prime.

Love the label on this guy.... Tinted gold color with a lingering ivory head. Aroma is lovely, peach, tropicals, musk, barnyard, earth. Flows nicely down the hatch, same tropicals from earlier but pepper and berry on top. Great stuff!

Elysian Dayglow IPA
Hazy light amber and copper coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of fresh grassy and very herbal hops with a noticeable malt backbone of subdued grain and a touch of wheat also noticeable. Medium-bodied; Strongish wheat and malt notes that show through some of the relatively mellow-ish hop elements of flowers and perfume with only a touch of bitterness near the end, but this is more malt-centric than hoppy and less strong that I imagined. Aftertaste shows the hop elements come through a touch more with only a bit of bitterness noticeable at all. Overall, a decent IPA, but nothing worth trying to find or acquire - this is ho hum, and a bit worse than Elysian usually produces. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 26-November-2016 for US$1,89 sampled at home in Washington on 19-February-2017.

Btl pours a hazy golden-orange color with a huge fluffy white head. It lasts forever leaving thick curtains of lace on glass. Aromas of pine, citrus, grass, bread, dankness and juicy fruit gum. Tastes of sweet caramel, tangerine, pine resin, pineapple and a hint of alcohol. Medium body, good carbonation, silky smooth mouthfeel and a mellow bitter finish. I like this IPA for the fresh, bold and in your face hop flavors and aromas. But don’t get me wrong it has some nice malt flavors that balance it out nicely. Absolutely, phenomenal!

Elysian Space Dust IPA
This bottled brew from a grocery store was served at a cool temperature and poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a strong bubbly carbonation body transparent light orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The semi-sharp crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong hoppy aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of bitter mild citrus hops and malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Elysian Split Shot
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 12/14/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big nutty medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, toasted oats, brown bread, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee notes; with great strength. Taste of big nutty medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, toasted oats, brown bread, light herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of nutty coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, cream, brown sugar, toasted oats, brown bread, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Slightly drying from hop/roast bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is a great coffee milk stout! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and coffee flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Really rich with a great mouthfeel for the modest ABV; with well rounded milk stout complexity all around. A really enjoyable offering.

Disappointing. Pous deep gold, with frothy head, settling to islands. A but sweet for an IPA, with nowhere near enough hops. The carbonation dies quickly, Inoffensvie. Nice, but not in a good way,

Pours a murky deep orange with bits of lace. Peppercorns mainly upfront. I can’t distinguish between the colors but it’s pretty spicy. Some heat, yeast, wheat and floral backed with orange peel and some booze. White wine maybe, maybe rum.

Elysian Space Dust IPA
Pours into the glass a golden-orange hue with a soapy white head that leaves sticky ringed lacing. The nose is of orange and other mixed citrus alongside beautiful floral and grassy notes. Flavors are complex, bursting with citrus and tons of basement dank hops, some grassiness, pine and light ABV notes, finishing with a lingering peppery bitterness to the side and back-palates. The mouthfeel is simply perfect, juicy and active to the palate, but substantial and full-bodied, providing a superb quaff. This offering is absolutely delicious and full of complexity for days. A wonderful example of dank hoppiness, citrus, pine and lingering bitterness that begs for another! Absolutely exquisite!

Bottle from saveure-biere.com. Bottled 22nd of August 2016. Nose is melon, citrus, somethings off, has a boozy touch that it probably shouldn’t have. Palate is dominated by the bitterness, some fruity middle, bitter finish. Sadly this has lost most of it’s character.

Coffee and stout pairings are becoming common as sin, but you expect great things when the hybrid in question comes from Seattle. And you would be right to expect greatness. Split Shot has lots of bright, roasty, bitter, and earthy espresso. There’s just a touch of cream and there’s some dark chocolate malt. Rich, viscous mouthfeel. It’s a damn good choice for Sunday breakfast beer.

Beer pours lightly cloudy honey color with a nice egg white head that is retained. Aroma is hoppy and yeasty with notes of pineapple and earth. Flavor is bitter. There is a little bit of initial sweetness but that is blasted to bits by the bitter hop assault. I like this beer. I wished I could get a bit fresher sample.

Bottle from sixer, new to IA as far as I know now. Pours a lightly hazed golden orange. Foamy head, good lace. Aroma is not huge but has a bit of pine, mild juicy fruit, stone fruits, minty pine, citrus zest, slight peppery. Good nose on the medium mild side intensity. Soft malt taste medium full foamy body, with citrus, minty pine menthol, some pepper, light medium candy, orange fruit, maybe another fruit character. Piney pepper bitter. Solid good double ipa, Not huge on it. But very good.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours a cloudy dark orange with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with citrus and resinous hops, some pine, and some earthy dry caramel malt. Flavour is wonderfully balanced, with herbal, resinous and piney hops galore destroying the palate, backed with just enough earthy caramel malt. This is an impeccably balanced and overall well-crafted extreme IPA. One of the best from Elysian.

Very little hop aroma, lots of grain and malt, sweet herbs, with Meyer lemon and mandarin orange. Quite clear, tiny lasting thin white head. Again not overly hop forward, grainy pleasant flavors with mild earthiness orange and hints of herbal floral hops with maybe a hint of mint. Mouthfeel drinks well, lovely sharp but balanced finish. Very well made technically flawless, very balanced, a credit to the brewers who made it. On the flip side, it lacks any oomph or true identity. Very enjoyable to drink yet lacking hop punch. A confounding beer. Lots to like but lacking definition.

Elysian Peated Porter
Draft at Elysian Bar. Minimally smoky and peaty with quiet notes of earth/manure. Sweet and roast-y with fizzy carbonation, medium-light body. Overall pretty simple with just peat and roast presented and some background dark C malts. No discernible hop aroma and light bitterness. Mostly clean fermentation and no alcohol noticed. Carbonation manages to prevent anything from working together coherently: brash and seltzer-like, loose and airy, making the mouth feel somewhat unpleasant.
