Sigtuna Black Soil IPA
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear, nutty brown with an off-white head. Rather sophisticated, almost perfumy hop aroma with the hops really downplayed. Medium body, slightly sweet yet with the roast giving some sort of balance and all the way still pleasant aromatic hops. A super well-composed and quaffable Black IPA. 220217

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a lacing white head. Really dank aroma, quite some cat pee in there from the Mosaic. The body though is a lot softer, sweet malts, smooth fruitiness and some perfumy hops in the finish although in the sneaky way of only gradual palate wrecking. Another nice Sigtuna brew, they seem to be getting their grip again after a not so good period. 220217

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden beer with a big, fluffy white head on top. Aroma is a bit weird, touches of tart, hay, fresh grass and lemongrass. Flavor has a mild sweet tone in the palate, which is quite soothing. High level of carbonation, medium short, light bittersweet aftertaste. A little bit of everything in this beer, actually not all that bad. Just a Meh with a capital M.

Sigtuna Black Soil IPA
Bottle from systembolaget. Pours with a small disappearing foam. Has a relatively strong carbonation that initially provides a lovely spicy fizzy taste. The aroma is a gorgeous hoppy one (love that Citra hop). The taste is quite different, much darker, harsh malts, a strong alcohol taste from the 7.5% and an almost imperial stoutish brutishness in the aftertaste (alas I don’t like that). Mixed bag.
