Ale Asylum Oktillion Oktoberfest
10oz pour at Karben4 with family. Small snifter glass. Coppery color with solid lacing and quarter finger off white head. Nose is malty and bready with caramel notes. Taste follows suit with malt taking the lead and pushing it more towards the sweet end of the spectrum. Really enjoyable finish. I like this rendition quite a bit.

The aromas are pale malt and wet grain. Flavors are similar to nose, slightly more sweet than bitter with good carbonation to balance. Decent body with a mildly sweet finish. The label is the best thing about the beer.

Can from Tavour. Pours clear copper/amber with a decent creamy white head. Lots of citrus in the nose - but it doesn't bite. Hints of lightly roasted malt. Near med body. Flavor is floral/citrus. Lightly roasty malt in support. Fairly dry; moderately bitter. I can see why SN was mentioned below.

12oz can. More gimmicky, classless label art from AA. Perhaps a little faded hop wise two months out, but still a reasonable enough APA. Balanced, classical, and a rather unimpressive offering overall.

Ale Asylum Vax On Vax Off
12 oz can, received in trade from Drake. Pours a lightly hazy daark copper color with a big white head. Aroma is strong and pungent with spiced mangoes, passionfruit, and musty pears. Taste is rather different from anything else I have ever sampled. I get musty mixed fruits featuring passionfruit and mango. The palate is a bit on the thin side and the carbonation is soft. Overall: very weird--but good. I requested this beer based on the stupid naming and I have no regrets, I love a new taste.

Pour is a dark orange with a large white head. Aorma is a big pine hop. Flavor is more pine hop with a bit of sweet caramel malt. Not real bitter but that ok with me. Old school Sierra Nevada vibes here.

Pint can. Grapefruit hop aroma with notes of grassy hops, floral hops and some grainy malt. Pours clear golden colored with half a finger off of white head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with grassy hops and grainy malt flavors. Finishes crisp and refreshing with floral hops and bright grapefruit citrus flavors. Pretty nice pale.

Ale Asylum Ambergeddon
This is a backlog rating from 2007 from a bottle picked up in travels, from notes. When I had this beer it was average to below average for the style and not something I wanted to have again or I just didn't get back to my notes because of my technology at the time, work and/or family. Words to describe this beer are caramel, orange citrus, grass, herbal.

12oz can from Total Wine in Brookfield, with a can date of 3 1/2 months ago. Hazy pale pour. Aroma has strawberry, passionfruit, light tropical fruits, and pale malt. Taste is tart & tangy; berries, tropical fruits, and pale malt. Fairly light, without much depth. Finishes tangy & short. This hits nicely with a big burst, but has little behind that. 13.6

From 16 ounce can purchased at Root Cellar, tasted on January 16, 2021. Hazy orange hue, strong aroma of resin and grapefruit, good bittersweet flavor with same elements as the nose with hop bitterness and some mustiness. A bit of astringency doesn't distract much. I guess I'm not impervious to hype since I bought this beer mostly because of the name. Having said that, it's a decent brew.

Yes, its a sign of the times. Scare everybody, make fear! $3 at JRs for the pounder can as pictured. Nose is somewhat friendly mild hop olfactory. Taste is a fairly strong initiation that tries to be IPA but never gets there. The eye on this is lighter hazy pale that makes me think of a NEIPA. Its almost muddy; certainly more muddy than the average NEIPA. Yes, after each slug is a medium long bitter feeling in the back of the throat. At least there is some co2 in there to make it almost refreshing. Of course we all know that in an old successful euro country empire, a V was really pronounce like a U.......Go figger. Lets give all those who have made a living publicizing this fvck-demic the middle finger! An american country boy can survive.

Pours a hazy orangish golden color with a creamy white head. Has a very tropical aroma with hints of pineapple, banana and orange. The flavor is juicy and bold with notes of citrus fruits. There must have been an abundance of the trio of hops used in this beer because the flavor just bursts right from the get go and the aroma is so strong you'd swear fruit was added to this brew. Very smooth and delicious.

12oz can. Quite an intense strawberry tone, truly different hop tone. Not sure if it is the Trident or just the general combination or if there is even flavoring added. Soft wheat and oat tones, easy drinking, no bitterness. Quite an odd candy strawberry ,peach, guava aroma. Unique.
