Bomber. Pours a clear orange color with a medium white head. A big tropical fruity nose. The flavor is more sweet...yeah, tangerine is the best descriptor. Soft lemons, mango, a bit of earthy dry pils malt type base, some mild bitterness. Very flavorful and smooth. Quite good.

Stone IPA - Tangerine
Amber orange color with a white head and yeast floaties. Aroma of tangerine, grapefruit, citrus, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate bitterness, citrus fruit flavors dominate. Better balance of fruit flavoring and the beer itself compared to a lot of other offerings.

Stone IPA (India Pale Ale)
This is a very good beer. A lovely orange hazy color, with an aroma of hops and citrus. Flavorful and light and complex (some light bitterness and tang), yet refreshing at the same time. A modern classic.

Stone Pilot Series: 611 Tangerine Express IPA
2017/02/20 - Pours a hazy, deep orange-honey coloring with a thick, foamy, off white head that slowly reduces and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is big citrus (orange, hints of lime), tropical fruits (pineapple, light lychee), mild pine and light herbal notes. Taste follows nose; pithy orange citrus, hints of tropical fruit, pine resin, mild biscuit, and lightly herbal hops. Mouthfeel is medium with lightly biting carbonation and a pithy, drying (almost tannic), moderately bitter finish. Better than many, but not my favorite Stone IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Stone Vanilla Bean Porter
12 ounce bottle from hayduke that we had via facebook chat. Looks like a porter. Deep dark brown with some amber and a tan head. I mostly get roasted notes in the aroma but earth is also big. First sip is vanilla and that roast. That is pretty much dominant along with earth. Then a little citrus that might be oranges.

Shared with STrykzone on Facebook Chat. From a 12 oz bottle pour near black with a light tan head. Nose of roasted malts, with a lot of vanilla plus chocolate and coffee. Medium plus bod. Smooth in the mouth. Flavor is roasted chocolate malts, lots of vanilla, a shot of coffee, and a bitter coffee dry vanilla laden finish. Very nice.

Stone Ruination Double IPA 2.0
33cl can from beer52.com, brewed by Stone Berlin A hazy golden amber pour with a loose white head; aroma of stone fruit - peach & apricot; smooth in the mouth, but overloaded with hops - some fresh & green, some spicy & resinous, with a slowly building bitterness that leaves a dry, warming, oily bitter finish. An assertive DIPA - very good indeed.

Stone Stochasticity Project Quadrotriticale
Bottle purchased at Champanes, sampled in a glass, this ale had a clear dark red (it did not look that dark for a Abt/Quad ale) pour with faded brown at the edges of the glass, and the pour made a one finger white and faint off-white head that receded to a lasting cover and ring, it left nice spots and small fingers of lacing, the aromas were dark fruit that resembled raisin and fig, toasted malt and bread, some spice, and bread sweetness, it had flavors of toasted malt and bread with some dark fruit, it had some pepper spice to which gave some bitterness after the finish, the mouth feel was medium full, it was a little creamy and had soft to average carbonation, this was a ok Abt/Quad drink.

Can from my brother. Wow! How’s that for a description. Inky black pour, soft ring of head. Malty, roasty, halfway between a CDA and a stout. Bitter and welcoming, smooth and slick.Tasty, doesn’t fit neatly in any other category, but great nonetheless.

Stone Pilot Series: 611 Tangerine Express IPA
Bomber bottle served in a glass, the bottle had Stone Tangerine Express IPA, this is not the Pilot Series beer, this ale was about a medium orange in the glass with darker orange at the side of the glass, the beer was not clear, there was a bit of haze and some particles (sediment) floating around, the bottom of the bottle had a good layer of sediment that swirled when the bottle was poured, the pour gave a nice, creamy, two finger white cover of bubbles that was lasting, it left nice spots and fingers of lacing on the glass, the nose had big fruit hop aromas, lots of tangerine and orange like fruit, some orange pith, the fruit citrus was pronounced, a hint of faint pine and herb in the background, light toasted malt, orange and tangerine sweetness, there was a lot of tangerine flavor with citrus hops, tangerine and orange fruit, light malt, a little bread, and fruit sweetness, the hops and fruit citrus left the tongue a little dry, gave some balance to the sweetness, pouring the sediment gave more of a citrus kick to the drink, this drink had a light medium mouth feel, it was creamy and had average carbonation, a fruity IPA with lots of tangerine on the nose and mouth, I did not notice the pineapple in the aroma or flavor, the tangerine was pretty much on top, a nice citrus drink.

Stone Pilot Series: 610 Jindia Pale Ale
Pours copper amber with a one finger off white head with pretty nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, juniper, ginger, pine, spicy herbs, and some lemon peel. Taste is similar to the aroma with the addition of some light bready like malts. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, moderately bitter, long finish. Overall, a tasty, very interesting DIPA that actually does taste like gin.

Stone Cali-Belgique IPA (Cali-België)
Copenhagen 19/2 2017. 33 cl can from Meny. Happy lil’ devil gulping beer on the can together with information that this beer should be regarded as the Evil Twin to the normal Stone IPA where this off-shot was raised in Belgium (nort exactly considered to be IPA-heartland) . Pours slightly hazy golden yellow with white head. Settles as fine thin layer of foam. No lacing. Aroma of sweet caramel, fermented fruit, light fruity tartness reminding me of gooseberries and currant. Soft carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is medium sweet followed by medium to heavy bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and lingering. Dry finish. More a Belgian than IPA but certainly drinkable when you get around this fact.

Stone Coffee Milk Stout - Chocolate Mint
Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, light coffee, a touch of caramel and a hint of chocolate with milk, but not much of the latter. Medium-bodied; Assertive nutty and roasty flavours at first without much body at all, then showing the mint and chocolate notes without much coffee, either, and a good deal of lactose and cream. Aftertaste is just milk with touches of mint and roast - not much going on. Overall, a well-structured beer that shows some decent flavours, just not enough of them - fairly thin, especially for the style, but this makes sense at 5,0% abv, and surprisingly not an ’imperial’ stone beer. Decent to try, but don’t go out of your way to grab this. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased yesterday at Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia for US$4,99 on 17-February-2017, sampled a day later at home in Washington on 18-February-2017. Bottled on 16-December-2016 from the Richmond Facility here (No Screenprinting).

100217. Can from Dan Murphy’s. Everything that is good about pale ales in right here in this can. Big loose head of foam sits above a dark amber beer that is almost in colour. Hops dominate the aroma and the flavour of this beer and fills the mouth with tropical fruit flavours. Another beer from Stone that doesn’t disappoint.
