New Belgium Old Aggie
12 oz can. Pours clear light straw with a fluffy white head that retains well and leaves a little lacing.

The aroma is subdued - sweet bready malts with noble hops.

The flavor is sweet bready malts with slight vegetal notes and a light crisp finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, I wish is was less sweet and malty with more of a crisp dry hop finish.

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juicy Mandarina IPA
Draft... Pours cloudy and orange with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. Stubborn, weeping lacework and a tiny, permanent, white cap. The aroma features restrained notes of orange and tangerine accompanied by a hint of pine resin. Medium-bodied with soft carbonation. The flavor is juicy ave fruity, offering restrained bitterness and a medley of citrus and fuzzy fruits, accompanied by a hint of black pepper. Crisp, clean, tongue-numbing finish.

Can at Bishops Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Pours clear orange with a medium head, leaving only lacings but no foam. Aroma is strong pine and some tropical citric fruit, resin, bark. Body is medium, strong resin, decent sweetness, with an oily texture dominating a lively carbonation in the background. Lasting sweet pine needle palate. Good.

It’s clean and refreshing but also kind of crappy. It’s probably the most bland beer I’ve ever had from New Belgium.

Alluring citrus pine aroma in an amber pour. Hop forward balance with a boozy fruity body and a sustained bitter finish. This is a better brew than the current rating would suggest (IMHO).

Massive citrus aroma in a light yellow gold pour. Laid back tart taste to start is replaced by a sweeter citrus fruit body before a light zesty finish. An ideal summertime refresher.

New Belgium French Oak Saison
Sample at the taproom. Hazy bright golden color with a white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Tart fruit, oak and yeast aroma. Medium body with flavors of peppery yeast, oak, tart fruit and doughy malt. The finish is moderately sour with a lemony aftertaste. Above average overall.

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Juicy Mandarina IPA
650ml bottle from Woodmans in Waukesha. Copper orange pour with an off-white head leaving spotty lacing. Aroma has citrus and tangy fruits, light pine, a solid Galaxy hop presence, and light toffee. Taste is of sweet and tangy fruits, oranges, and some resin, all on a toffee malt backbone. Medium bodied with a touch of an alcohol presence, the blend is good and there is solid carbonation. Finishes sweeter and tangy-er than bittersweet, with components of all. Nice tasty blend of that galaxy and solid mandarina hop. 13.9

Can, pours a clear golden light yellow pour with a white head. Bland unforgiving nose. Taste is grainy and doughy, typical of blonde ale. Ends on the same bland notes, maybe on a hot day when you are nice and thirsty. Quaff Score 6 / 10......4-3-5-2-10

light yellow, a bit of cloudiness. aroma is pretty bland, has a dry and session fat tire sort of flavor. I wonder if this shares the same yeast? it’s light, some orange, clove, peach but it’s almost no flavor at all. kind of surprised

New Belgium French Oak Saison
Winemakers assert that French oak tends to be more mild-mannered than American oak. I haven’t tasted enough wine to validate that opinion, but I have to admit that New Belgium’s French Oak Saison has a smoothness you don’t get from beers aged on American oak. This gold-colored and effervescent Saison is classy and cohesive. Funky oak and sour acidity are there, but they’re suggestions rather than demands... er, if that makes any damn sense. Lively feel. The yeast esters impart clove and pepper. A very nice choice for killing down time at the Denver airport.

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA - Passion Fruit
22oz bomber. Another beer under the unfortunate moniker "Voodoo Ranger". A beer for 2016 indeed, this really awkwardly tries to mimic or accentuate the hops with some passionfruit extract. The base beer is sugary and one dimensional in the first place. A really stupid beer. The passionfruit is so canned and uninspired that I have no idea why you would put this on the market. Drinkable, but also a shameful, stupid beer.

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA
Pours a clear mostly orange gold color. About two fingers white head. good retention, good lacing.

Aroma is very nice. Pine, mango, pineapple. Hoppy, not a whole lot of citrus.

Taste is pine, pine bark. Resin. Pineapple, okay some citrus in the taste. Orange, orange zest. Not super flavorful.

Mouthfeel is medium full bodied. However, still easy to drink.

Overall, not bad. Nothing special. I’m not going to rush out and buy this again, but I’m glad I tried it. I probably would not recommend this, but I would consider buying it again.

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA - Passion Fruit
Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Tropical aroma. Med + body. Flavor is what I have learned to be passionfruit. Lots of passion and a decent amount of hop bitter. So much fruit I don’t dare parse the hop. It’s great, but not easy to describe. Lots and lots of hop I think. Pretty bitter. Underrated IMHO.

Orange and lemon Starburst candy with hops, or orange Pixie Stix. Aroma and taste habe this quality. Hops are light, but not quite a heavy ipa. Almost a fruit beer with the second thought of ipa. I liked it enough especially for a deck party. Tap

Orange gold pour with a 1cm white head, this fades to a thin layer. Orange, pine, a little caramel on the nose. Taste is fairly similar, citrus, piney, sweet caramel, and finishes with a bit of bitter marmalade.
