355ml can bought at Eide Handel. Snow white head with fine duration and good lacing. A slight haze to a yellow-gold body. Peachy nose, hints of dough. Quite fresh fruit hoppy taste of peaches and grass. Moments of citrus peels to the ending. Medium bodied. Pretty alright (Tromsø 16.01.2017).

TAP. Hazy light gold with small foamy head.. Literally smells like Cottees fruit punch cordial, but hoppy & alcoholic.. Light malt base, leads into the huge orange/citrus peel finishing as a fruit punch explosion.. Sourced yardhouse Honolulu

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger IPA
Bottle, sampled in a glass, this beer was a clear light orange-amber in the glass with a touch of gold, and a fast pour made a cover that was more than a fingers worth of white bubbles, it left nice spots and fingers of lacing on the side, the nose had orange fruit, orange pith and skin, light malt and a little bread, citrus and floral hops with a earth herb note, some grapefruit in the background, candy and fruit sweetness, the flavors were citrus and spice hops with a bit of grass, orange fruit, light toasted malt, faint bread, some malt and fruit like sweetness, the hop bitterness was about medium after the finish, the hops lingered a bit with light toasted malt flavor, the mouth feel was light medium, it was creamy and had average carbonation, it felt lighter than a 7% alc. ale, a nice citrus and floral hop nose with orange fruit notes throughout, the flavor was similar with less orange, I thought the hops and malt were about even, not overly hoppy or malty, a nice drink.

New Belgium Hop Kitchen - Bretta IPA
Decent amount of funk on the backside, adding a curious barnyard twist to a rather middle-of-the-road IPA. Hops seem muted; any bright notes have faded into a mildly fruit-tinged prolonged bitterness, leaving a finish that fights the funk with IBU meanness. Feels like this beer needs to pick a lane; either embrace the brett or add to the hop oomph.

New Belgium Lips of Faith - Clutch
On tap at Downtown Drafts in Gainesville GA. Clear but opaque and essentially black body with a rather weak head, ruby highlights at the edge, and a modicum of lacing. Sweet and sour aroma with hints of ripe soft fruits and chocolate. Moderately sour flavor that is also mildly bitter. Some dark fruit notes with chocolate, but the tartness is more obvious. Overall: excellent for style (allowing for a sour stout style).

It pours reddish copper with a patchy off white head. The aroma has syrupy sweetness, some oak, Belgian Abbey yeast and maybe a hint of spices. It has a medium body with semi sharp carbonation. The taste is sweet with bubblegum, syrup and rich malt. There is also light spices, caramel and pepper. This wasn’t for me.

New Belgium Lips of Faith - Clutch
22 ounce bottle best by date of May 6, 2018. Served in a Great Lakes Brewing snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black wtih about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit/berries, coffee and some earthiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of tart berries, wood and a bit of green apple flavors. Not a big amount of sourness, but enough to know that it’s a sour/tart ale. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s creamy and coating with a decent amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good sour stout, I enjoyed it. Certainly worth trying, I wouldn’t mind having it again sometime! $16.99 a bottle.

A reddish amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light coriander, cinnamon, light cherry notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light candy sugar, light curacao, coriander, light perfumy notes, Italian spices, alcohol warmth, nice and interesting. On tap at Maggie’s on the River.

New Belgium Citradelic Exotic Lime Ale
I guess this is somewhere between a gose and a light pale ale, but it doesn’t seem to have enough of any kind of character to appeal to anyone. And what citrus/lime quality there is here smells and tastes synthetic. It pours light yellow with lots of head and carbonation. The aroma is mild, and the lime notes are sedated. The flavor is also sedate, mild, muted, bland, and artificial. It isn’t awful, but it isn’t something I care to have again.

For an ale, it's pretty complex. Nice upfront sweetness and barley feel. The sweetness dances on the line of tasting like a cheap beer, but it falls on the correct side. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

New Belgium Tartastic
Hazy straw hue with a rocky white cap. Bright nose with light ginger and a strong lemon zest tone that’s gently tart. Brisk lemon rind tartness on the flavor that mellows out to a gentle gingerale tone and a crisp white-bread finish. At first taste it reminded me of the pizza crust at CiCi’s pizza. It’s more nuanced (and lemony and zesty and ginger-y) than that but still...memories.

A pale and light hued beer. A zingy little citrus nose. It’s very light bodied with very little malt character to it. It has a citrus/herb flavor which is pleasant. It just has nothing out of the ordinary.

It pours hazy still yellow with a white head. The aroma has powdery lemon, some tartness and light cream. It has a fairly light body with mild carbonation. The taste is like lemonade with a bit more spice, probably from the ginger. Good, but doesn’t taste much like a beer to me.

New Belgium Voodoo Ranger IPA
Pours into the glass a yellow-golden, with a frothy white head that reduces to a medium cap, leaving soapy lacing. The nose is of pine needles and tropical fruits. Flavors are of heavy pine, grapefruit, light grains, well-hopped, finishing with a peppery pine bitter. The mouthfeel is just this side of juicy, with a medium body and semi-active soft carbonation to the palate. A nice tropical-woody pine take on the original "Ranger" IPA series. Balanced, substantial, complex and providing an easy quaff, this is a very nice offering from New Belgium.

New Belgium Citradelic Exotic Lime Ale
3 month old bottle > Tulip. A: Turbulent pour with big white foamy head atop pale yellow body. Great retention, small slow bubbles and thick lacing. S: Light salty and peppery lime scent with crisp bread in the back. T: Lemon/lime and light salt. White bread backbone. A spicy tingle that I guess is the black pepper. M: Very light and perhaps overly spritzy. Puckering finish. O: Obviously different but I’m unsure if I like it or not. May be as close as I can get to liking a gose. Could be a fantastic summer cookout beer.

I actually like this quite a bit, mostly for the warm and mildly funky aroma. It pours a clear yellow with some tenacious foam. The aroma is really nice. Slightly tropical, kinda funky, some grassy notes... it all blends together well in the nose. The flavor ain’t bad, either. It’s mild up front but closes with a little bit of bitter kick. A little understated but not tame. Pretty good, I’d have it again.

New Belgium + Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale
Bottle... Pours yellow with golden highlights and a small, brief, white head. The aroma is a swirl of vanilla, caramel and a small ration of cocoa. Basically, this smells a lot like cream soda. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Tasty and cream soda-like, but not cloyingly sweet. Pretty decent balance here. Tastes a lot like Anderson Valley’s Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema. I don’t know whether they even brew that anymore. This is very much like a cream ale. Pretty darn good.

A surprisingly dark beer with some real brown hues in it. The nose is zingy with a good amount of kiwi fruit, dusty grass and thistle. It has a big, solid mouthful, a surprisingly mild bitterness. It’s got a really weird flavor honestly, it’s almost sherberty in it’s tingly carbonation too. I’m not sure I’ve had anything like it.

Smoooooth; REAL smooth. SUPER smooth. This is as close to a macro micro as I’ve yet to consume, Poured from two cold 12 ounce cans (that have been stored in the outside beer cooler for a day, in the snow, in the backyard) into an english pint glass. Color-wise, a vibrant golden w/pin bubbles effervescing. If these 15 (?) packs were a might bit cheaper, it’d be one ale I’d be able to populate that beer fridge. A winter summer summer winter ale this. Very enjoyable, anytime. Neat design, too, on the can. Mexican Sun?

New Belgium Whizbang Hoppy Blonde Ale
Pours golden with a tinge of red, some lacing. Strong hop aroma: tropical and piney. Some sulfur coming through. Taste is also hoppy but doesn't linger much. Some sweet malt notes but again, not much. The malt flavor does linger a bit with the hoppiness, however. I would think this is very sessionable except for this part. A good hang for two or three, though. Another decent seasonal from New Belgium. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce can into signature globe glass, canned on 12/2/2016. Pours slightly hazy.cloudy pale golden/straw color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, pear, cracker, corn, and biscuit; with lighter notes of honey, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with moderate pale malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Flavors of lemon, pear, cracker, corn, and biscuit; with lighter notes of honey, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, corn, biscuit, light pepper, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of moderate pale malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/creamy/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is a good blonde ale. All around good robustness and balance of moderate pale malt and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Nicely flavorful and not watery feeling, despite the lighter body. A nicely enjoyable offering.

12 oz. bottle. BBD 25JUN17. Pours a thin, well retained, off white head, over a hazy, yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is light lemon, minimal ginger, no hops, mild base malts.......taste is mildly sour, with lemon, mild ginger, slight malts, finishing almost tart, sourness gently lingers......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation. This is a light, mildly sour beer with light lemon tones, and mild ginger. It is refreshing, but not at all interesting. BJCP 5/3/12/4/5
