12oz bottle in Fl. Mahogany pour. Very sweet, strong aroma. Obvious coconut in flavor. Chocolate also but kinda overpowered by coconut. Tasty, surprising esp considering I don’t like coconut

DuClaw Double Naked Fish
Pours a flat dark black body with a small fizzy brown head. The nose is pretty intense on the chocolate and roastiness with a more subtle raspberry fruitiness. The flavor is quite a bit more intense on the fruit though. Very heavy raspberry with a heavy roasted maltiness. Lots of burnt malt character to this one, with the chocolate enhancing the roastiness. Rather full bodied with a chewy texture and soft fizzy carbonation. Not so sure this is an improvement on the regular version, I think I prefer that one.

DuClaw Guilty Filthy Soul
Pour is a dark black with a large creamy tan head. Aroma is pretty much all bitter dry bakers chcocolate. Flavor is again more bakers chcocolate with a subtle spicy rye. As this warms it becomes a little less bitter with more or a milk stout lactose sweetness. Finish is silky with residual bitterness. It’s a solid rye porter just a little harsh around the edges.

DuClaw 31
12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 7/27/2016. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper color with a small dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, light chocolate, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/bready malt, spices, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, light chocolate, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal hop and spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, cinnamon, nutmeg, herbal, pepper, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, spices, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitter/spiciness, increasing through the glass. Very clean on lager flavors with zero yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately grainy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.7%. Overall this is a very nice spiced Munich dunkel lager style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/bready malt, spices, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, clean, and easy to drink. A bit more bitter/drying than the classic style due to the spice presence; but very well balanced and spot on otherwise. A very enjoyable offering.

Very pleasant notes of chocolate and peanutbutter - becomes a little one dimensional though. The taste notes would have been better suited for a stronger and thicker beer.

DuClaw Hop Continuum No. 4 (Triple IPA)
12 oz bottle with no sediment but it pours slightly hazy nonetheless. Copper colored with a relatively weak, bone-colored head. Minimal lacing. Smell - Hoppy and slightly boozy with lots of sweet caramel and citrus. Lightly floral and piney. Taste (8.5) - Strong bitter-sweet flavor. Generous input from both hops and malts. Some sweet caramel, citrus, pine and alcohol esters. Mouthfeel - a little harsh, but respectable for a hoppy ale at 11% ABV. Full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Slightly syrupy and a bit warming. Overall - A triple IPA that drinks like a hoppy barleywine, this big beer should appeal to fans of Hopslam.

DuClaw Devils Milk
12 oz bottle served in a Belgian snifter. Pours with a clear copper-brown body topped by a thin, mostly short-lived head. Spotty lacing. Aroma: Sweet and boozy, with hints of dark fruits, apples and toffee. Flavor. Similar to the aroma, with soft and dried fruits, faint hops and caramel. Modest complexity. Overall: Smoother and, perhaps, better, than the bourbon barrel aged version (Hell on Wood).

DuClaw Hell on Wood
12 oz bottle served in a Belgian snifter. Pours with a murky copper-brown body topped by a thin, mostly short-lived head. Minimal lacing. Powerful bourbon and bourbon barrel aspects to the aroma and only a little less pronounced and dominant in the flavor. Still, there’s a strong barleywine base that is clearly evident in the flavor. There are vanilla, wood, dark soft and dried fruits, hops and, of course, bourbon, notes in the flavor. Good complexity. Overall: Boozy, with a clear presence of the 10+% ABV. A strong ale for bourbon lovers.

Perfect for coffee and stout lovers alike. Strong coffee everywhere-nose, tongue, finish. Quite good because the backing stout hits the correct notes as well. A bit of a creaminess makes for a very drinkable pour.

DuClaw Sweet Baby Jesus!
I may be rating this a bit higher on flavor...as I love anything with peanut butter. The base porter behind the peanut butter has some good chocolate to it as well, but slightly rusty/metallic. Balance could be better, otherwise has some good potential. Glad I tried though, as I was sold on "peanut butter" and the label.

Not a tremendous palate pleaser but on the thirst quenching side. Finish is bready, grainy and ends on mild blueberry notes. Fair at best, but not wheat lover. Quaff Score6/ 10

Pours black, good sized tan head.Aroma is odd cocoa powder, like cheap candy. Tastes better than it smells, some roast malt, a better cocoa, then a kick that could be hops, or could have something to do with the peanut butter, I’m not sure. Coild be coffee, could be hazlenut. Mouthfeel is lighter than I would have expected.

Standard longneck, bad label. Clear, yellow, not much head. On the cold side, the wheat aroma comes out, as it warms it becomes more pastry-like. Crisp and hoppy, not sweet, biscuity. The berry is just a nice accent and doesn’t take over. The citrus zest quality makes things a bit strange on the bittering front, and maybe a little unpleasant in the finish - it lays on the top of the tongue like aspirin. Lightish body. ABC Liquors, Betton.
