Botte. Nice bottle, classy label. Golden clear. Starchy malty nose, light maizy even. Light bldied, clean bulk lager doughy, old honey. Might be a little more bitter, have a little more grassy hoppy flavour than the usual bulk. Pretty much the same still.

Hartwall Lahden Erikois Pils
Pours clear golden with a smallish white head. Sweet and malty aroma with a hint of floral notes. Taste is mild and malty, just a very little metallic bitterness. Mild, tasteless and watery overall. Too malty for a pilsener. The first one was enough of this stuff. (50cl can, bb11.03.18)

Happy Joe Dry Apple Cider
Pours with little foam. Carbonation seems intense. Color is lighter than in the Oakwood version. Aroma is similar to Oakwood version, but is fresher. Aroma is dominated by red apple (including peel) and there are some faint notes of cut grass and soap. This does not have the pronounced "caramellized apple", nor does it have the "chemical" aroma that the Oakwood version has. Palate is more balanced than in the Oakwood version. It’s a bit oily, but not too overwhelmingly so. Carbonation is nicer, consisting of medium to small bubbles, whereas in the Oakwood version the bubbles were big. Taste is also more balanced than in the Oakwood version. The balance between sweetness and sourness is pretty ok. Taste has again that red apple taste (with peels), but there’s definitely some sour green apple as well. Some lemon and lime notes. Some mint even. The taste develops as one drinks more. When the drink is almost gone, I almost start to like this. Slow sips is the key to enjoying this. It’s much better than the Oakwood version and this is actually an okay cider. It could benefit from coming at a higher alcohol percentage though. In the 5-6% range. Since at 4.7% it suffers slightly from wateriness.

Happy Joe Oakwood Apple Cider
Pours with a typical light and fluffy cider foam. Appearance is a bit industrial, even though the packaging seems artesanal. Delicious aroma has apple candy -like notes, caramel or caramellized apple, faint soap aromas and some dock aromas. Palate is a bit off and it varies between too much oiliness and too much dryness. The carbonation has large bubbles. Taste is sweet and has ripe red apples (including the taste of the peel), slight "chemical" undernotes. Faint orange taste in after taste. It tastes slightly artificial. Also I cannot understand where the oakwood in this is. It’s not too bad, but I would not buy this again. I would describe it as a bad attempt to Bulmers.

Lapin Kulta III
Pours with typical lager foam and color is fairly nice clear mid-toned orange. The aroma is a bit dirty and sweet and is a strong combination of malt and hops. Slight alcohol aroma and some aromas of dried mixed fruits. Palate is surprisingly balanced. Taste is a bit watery, but has a nice and atmospheric overall "woodiness" to it. Taste has mainly just hops and malt, some faint herbal (Jägermeister-like) after taste. This is a Finnish bulk lager, but I still consider its taste a "classic" that I want to revisit occasionally (rarely though). It might not be drank, because it being an exceptional beer, but rather, because of its classic and memory-laden taste. As a beer it’s not special, but not bad either. The score is an understatement, considering the reasons (nostalgia) why this beer appeals to some Finnish consumers. I don’t think it should be scored by comparing the taste qualities directly to other (e.g. foreign) beers, but one must consider also the nostalgic aspect of the taste of this beer.

Acheter à auchan grande synthe. Bouteille de 33cl. Couleur dorée d’une lager. Belle bulles.

Can 500ml (K-Supermarket Isolinna)
Clear golden color, small white head. Neutral sweetish malty aroma. Light papery and grassy notes. Light-bodied, quite watery palate. Flavor has light sweetish maltyness, not much hops around, just some light grassy notes. Gluten-free means that you reduce malts from normal LK? Ok beer for celiacs as it doesn’t have any nasty side flavours of typical gluten-free beer. Unfortunately it doesn’t have much of flavours at all.

Name means literally "the special pils from Lahti". Clear golden color, small white head. Light nose has grass and rubber. Light-bodied. Some sweetish corn-like maltyness, cardboard, light German earthy hoppyness - but too light to qualify as pils. It doesn’t even feel 26 IBU. I could drink this with a hot BBQ sausage after I have had all my good beers and few vodka shots.

Clear golden color with a small to medium size foamy white head. Dry grainy and farmyardy malty aroma. The flavor is boring grainy maltiness with some newspaper twist. However this beer is quite nostalgic as in my youth in Lahti the Lahden Erikoinen was the thing. Lahtelaista, tottakai!
