Rolling Rock Extra Pale
Pours a beautiful golden color with a medium sized creamy white head. The aroma is your typical american lager. Very faint aroma of malts and some fresh cut grass. The flavor is very neutral with not much going on. In fact, there just isn’t much taste to it good or bad. You slightly pick up the adjuncts and a very extremely faint hop presence.

Shock Top Belgian White
Served in a pint glass with a garnished fresh orange wheel. Tastes great this way but, down to the bitty-gritty; this is a brew that is very light and reserved in its potential. Peppery and light cereal notes with florals and moderate citrus in tandem. An industry titan, but a so-so representation of style and origin.

Shock Top Ruby Fresh
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 1/27/2017. Pours hazy pale golden/straw color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big ruby red grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, pepper, wheat, cracker, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good balance of citrus juice/peels, spices, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big ruby red grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, pepper, wheat, cracker, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal bitterness, yeast spice, and tangy fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of ruby red grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, pepper, wheat, cracker, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of citrus juice/peels, spices, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from tart/spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp/grainy, lightly acidic, and slightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is good. A bit thin, but not watery. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a very solid fruit beer. All around good robustness and balance of citrus juice/peels, spices, and light-moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. Barely any Wit yeast presence, but the coriander presence was solid. Tasted more like a shandy than the witbier that was advertised, but not bad at all. Nicely enjoyable and tasty.

Can 50cl du Colruyt.

Oculto
So i’m a pretty easy man to please when it comes to beer. Usually if it tastes good I like it and am happy. I love my ales and micro brews don’t get me wrong but nothing beats a good "island style" lager every once in awhile. Oculto’s biggest selling point is it’s marketing which makes you believe that it’s anything other than a simple lager. The beer claims to have this wonderful tequila overtone because it was brewed on Tequila barrel staves but honestly I couldn’t taste the tequila at all. Oculto tastes like watered down Corona and in fact I actually had to add 3 limes and salt just to get any sort of enjoyment out of this beer. Like I said earlier Oculto’s only redeeming factor is it’s marketing which makes this beer seem very intriguing and mysterious even though it’s literally made by the same people who make Budweiser and Bud Light. Honestly I prefer Corona over this beer flavored water anytime.

Big ass can (1pint, 90z. / 25 fl. oz. / 739ml) from gas station near ATL airport.... because... I just got out of ATL from LAX, damned delayed flight, tired as hell and through the rental car hoopla and drove to the airport hotel and did I say that I was tired and thirsty? So I went to the gas station because there were no damned supermarkets or liquor stores in this lousy part of Atlanta and what did they have but a selection of cheapos, malt liquors, and other lousy stuff in six packs and a girl in front of me took out one of these huge cans and so I thought it must be time that I finally rated this bugger. Grabbed one and tried to weave my way through the older shakey guys buying one lotto ticket after another and put my $2.55 under the plexiglass window, jammed the can into the little brown paper bag the cashier gave me, and got the hell outta there..And here goes: Nose of light sweetish malt and corn. Color is red, white, and blue ... because I drank the fucker straight from the can .. you got a problem with that, Bubba? (Actually, I later poured some out into a cup, so ....Clear very thin pale straw color with with weird pockety-pock bubbles popping on the white foam.) Thin fruity initial flavor, and hey ... green apples! (just like Ken Wells says in his book, Travels with Barley). Very slight bitterness... well, almost none really. Light sweet finish. Thin body. Somehow I feel that this beer changed my normally calm, serious demeanor (maybe even my outlook on the world...). Oh, well. It’s great being back in ’merica. This is probably the classic poster boy for bad beer, but I’ve had worse. Oh yes, I’ve had a lot worse... But I doubt that I’ll ever buy another.

Bottle. No particular aroma. Looks like lemonade mixed with iced tea. Pour has lots of sediment on the bottom. Not really overwhelming on the spiced end with the taste but a tad honey sweet. Decent co2. Yes, fairly mild beer of a different genre. Goes down goodly. Well balanced with the ginger but I don’t feel any heat. Better than expected.

Busch Signature Copper Lager
Bottle... Pours clear and deeply amber with a small, fleeting, white head. The nose is both malty and hoppy - toasted grains and medicinal, spicy hops. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is sweet and malty with some toastiness and a trace of diacetyl. Possibly in here intentionally. People like butter and AB quality control is amazing. If there’s an off-flavor in any AB product, they want it there, including acetaldehyde in their “light” beers. Lingering, sweet, lightly bitter finish. I’ve certainly drank worse craft beer, but I’ll never drink this again.

If you dont drink budweiser you either a marxist hipster or a terrorist. If i could give a true rating it would be freedom/10. Drinkability is shotgun/10 nothing goes down the old pipe smoother than budweiser. Taste is prime-rib-in-a-can/10 need i say more? Everytime you dont drink a real american beer you are funding terrorist and planned parenthood. Behead those who dont recognize budweiser as the king of beers.

Shock Top Honeycrisp Apple Wheat
Hazed, pale straw colored liquid, with a taller dense off-white head. Jolly rancher sour apple scents. A strawberry shortcake aroma develops along with hints of rhubarb. Lets just say it is an interesting nose. Initial flavors have reminders of nail polish remover. Some circus peanuts and candy apples follow. Very flowery and perfumy. The flavors aren’t as bad as they might sound, because that are muted by the sweetness, but they are what I detect. As it sets it becomes a watery cider. 3/13

Drink these cold and you should likely be mildly unoffended. 11/12 As Budweiser Black Crown: Ar - 4 Ap - 2 Fl - 5 P - 4 O - 9 Rate 2.4 Modest white head that diminished to a single layer of bubbles above the dark golden to light amber liquid. Golden color with a tall light beige colored head. Hints of toasted malt and perhaps a bit of floral hops. Clean and nearly sterile. After it warms, a few things are not as clean, as some cheap wine and grape skins come in. So drink this cold. :0. Smooth, a bit too lifeless for a pils. Simple sweet pale malt flavors. Light floral to perfumy hops. Sweeter finish. Lacks crispness. 11/12
