270617. Bottle at home. Opens - finally jesus that cork was tight - with that satisfying pop. Pours clear mahogany with almost no head. Aroma strong toffee, caramel, alcohol, paint thinner, ripe fruit, raisins and oak. Hint of banana but not much. The hops are long gone by now. Surprisingly smooth on the tongue, almost no burn. A nice raisiny after taste. Very nice and has aged well. Would be nice to know how it was new. Not Bad.

For ABV it has very nice flavors. Hop is there impressive. But grassy hop is present. Solid pale ale and extra points for name and abv.

5 days after canning. BB 15.7.17. Super hoppy, peach, banana, mango in aroma. Straw yellow, looks like banana juice. Taste is very sharp alcoholic. Very fizzy and that brings the alc in front. Way better after shaking out CO2. Not that smooth, juicy and fruity like other NEIPA. Quite long bitter finish. Needs definetely more aging. Fresh is super but it tastes not finished.

BrewDog Sink the Bismarck
Shared the bottle with friends, thanks to Paul! Insane! Heavy licorice, malt and hopped to the extreme, like drinking whiskey, so glad to have had the experience, really enjoyable! Almost poured like port, deep dark tawny colour, no head. We got both barrels from the Bismarck but we sunk the bugger!

Clear gold color with small white foam. Aromas of fresh wild hops, with rather earthy, citrusy notes followed by other more fruity hoppy touch. (unfortunately window is open and the wind is blowing from the wrong side and now all I can smell is horse manure. Joy.) Palate, full body with smooth texture leaving rather dry finish. Taste, bitter hops, rather very bitter and well bit citrusy, very well hidden boozy touch but mainly just bitter hops. Overall, not bad rather hop loaded IPA that is genuinely hoppy as should be.

Keg at Brewdog Shepherds Bush, London. A golden coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, mango, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes quite similar, hoppy, mango, tropical fruit, quite sweet and a hint of butter in there. Quite unusual but also very pleasant, would definitely seek this one out again.

Bottle that Jim shared - cheers! Black with a middling beige head. Tastes of chocolate, coffee and pine; mild but smooth and well-balanced. Unlike others in the style it’s not too sweet, and is very drinkable indeed. I like it!

Bottle that Jim shared - cheers! Deep gold with a thin white head. Light tropical fruit aroma develops on tasting into kiwi fruit, bread and a hint of sweaty foot cheese. Suffered by comparison to the similar but rather better Aegir Littlebro we’d had just before. Disappointing coming from Brewdog.

Can. Bright clear gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and mildly dry and has decent fine carbonation. Light malts, lightly sweet. Nice light piney hops. Nectarine and plum. Little citric zing. Mildly bitterness on the light finish. Comes together well. A little off the beaten track and very drinkable.

Aroma: Medium bready, fruity, apricot brandy, Appearance: Dark brown body, hazy with floaters. No head, Slight legs on the glass. Flavour: Medium apricot brandy, Medium-light banana, bready Fruity finish with lingering apricot, alcohol, Mouthfeel: Full body. Light warming. Low carbonation. Overall: The beer tastes as if a cheap, illegal liquor was added to it nothing bad, but it shows minor promises of headaches and vomiting. It lacks malty richness. 330 ml bottle, poured. 10C Weizenbock
