Tight fluuffy, off white head stayed on a murky dark orange coloured body. Citrus, dank, orange aroma. Medium bodied. Well carbonated & feeling thick & chewy on the palate. A sharp prickly back. Bitter/sweet citrus, hoppy, catty, peach & zest with long tangy finish. Good one.

Arbor Never A Frown
Cask at The Tap Room Cliftonville. Clear dark brown beer thin beige. Head. Malty. Amber ale. Lime hop. A bit like an under powered American brown ale. Likeable enough. Malty sweet.

Arbor Yakima Baby

Arbor Down Deeperer
July 2017 - Bottle share at LKS. Thanks Kenny! As 'Arbor Down Deeperer'. Dark brown, opaque, still, foamy light brown head. Aroma is very meaty, bovril, boozy, spicy and quite oxidised. Body is smooth with light carbonation. Taste is oxidised and spicy, sugary, meaty, some more bovril. Quite sweet, and pretty oxidised. Hasn't held up so well. (5-3-5-3-11=2.7)

Arbor Barley Davidson
Bottle shred in Hackney - thanks to Sr. Fr0g. Pours clear orange-gold with a thick, foamy off-white head. The aroma holds vague piney spice, some fruitcake, a little butterscotch. Medium to big sweet flavour, with aggressive alcohol notes, some toasted pine, more butters pitch, ample hosted wood. Full bodied, litly oily and chew, with fine carbonation. Finishes with more boozy warmth, more toasted wood, vanilla, alcohol, dried berries, toasted caramel. Just alright overall. Pretty punchy.

Arbor Shangri-la
2 x ½ pint draught at Tiny Rebel Brewfest, Cardiff. Best brew of the day, incredibly nutty - like classic IPA on tastebud stimulating steroids. Asked the brewer about the taste - hops include citra and equinox. So good that I finished the glass in under a minute and went to get another one!

Arbor Yakima Baby
⅓ pint taster glass at Tiny Rebel Brewfest, Cardiff. Like a stronger version of Shangri but not boasting as much flavour, in my opinion. Was probably a touch muted due to just having tried the Shangri La, which is easily one of the best beers I’ve ever come across.

Arbor Why Kick A Moo Cow
Bottle – A cloudy orange amber colour with a large lasting frothy off white head. A sweet fruity aroma stewed quince, tropical fruits notes, light malts, and some citrusy grassy hops. Moderately sweet taste, again a predominance of fruit flavours, tropical and citrus, but also some light caramel malt and a resin hop bitterness in the finish. A good mouth feel, medium bodies and overall quite a nice beer.

Arbor FF #21- Impy Stout
Bottle from brewery kept until yesterday. I pours very very dark brown to black with very transient brown head. Very low carbonation. Aroma of roast malts and slight coffee hint. Tastes of roast and other dark malts much more subdued than previous tasting some while back. Flavours persist for a long time giving time to enjoy and savour. The mouthfeel is oily and 'feels' dark on the tongue. It has developed over the years into something special. Looking forward to trying one of the last bottles in another year or so.

Arbor The Devil Made Me Brew It
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a murky dark brown with a frothy off white head. The aroma is malt, big grassy hop. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a crisp, fresh, dry malt, light sweet fruit, light dry pepper spice, grassy hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Some Stout characteristics but more like a Black IPA for me.

Arbor FF #36 Monsoon Saison
568ml bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A bright amber pour with a loose cream head and very lively carbonation; pleasant yeast aroma with some corriander; lively in the mouth with a lip-smacking corriander taste; and a clean dry finish with some gingery spice and a trace of caramel. A substantial, satisfying beer - I suspect this would be a perfect match for a fiery curry, but unfortunately I don’t have one to hand at the moment.

Arbor Pocket Rocket
July 2017 - Bottle shared at Leighton’s. Many thanks to Fergus. As ’Arbor Pocket Rocket’. Hazy opaque orange, lightly sparkling, foamy off-white head. Aroma is a bit sweaty, farty, cardboard, overall vibe of bad breath. Body is frothy with soft carbonation. Taste is soapy and astringent, flinty, weird apple notes. This is not fantastic – especially by Arbor’s usually decent standards. (4-4-5-3-12=2.8)

Strong grapefruit, bitter hops and notable medicinal notes at the start, some raisins. Middle is generically hoppy, with some persisting orangey sweetness. Finishes mildly bitter and citrusy, very mild resin the aftertaste, still with a fruity sweetness.
