Istak Mango
Fresh nice fruity Mango nose. The beer starts fruity mild. The malty beer in the background is round, refreshing with smooth mild mango. Not too artificial, fruity sweetish in the aftertaste, nice!

Istak Malt (Natural)
Bought in a Persian minimart on the Hageley Rd, whilst I waited for me pizza. Really would be better off rating this on ratecola.com. It reminds me of one of those trad colas you can get from smaller producers. Or shops own brand. Drinkable but its not like drinking a beer.

Istak Malt (Natural)
Aroma: Sweet, bready malt, candies, caramel. Appearance: No head, amber color. Taste: Sweet, soury, bread, some caramel, bit of fruity notes, candies, not very tasty, minimal biterness and some low spicy hoppy notes. Palate: Finish is sweet, carbonation is very high, body is medium-low. In Iranian climate and no-beer conditions it is pretty good but I prefer the fruity versions.

Istak Pomegranate
Watery-sweetish brew. The pomegranate is there, a bit sweet and a bit artificial. The typical bitterness / dryness of this fruit is too low for the taste. The body is a bit watery with sweetish hint. Refreshing and not too sweet. Fruity-fresh aftertaste, nice.

Smooth sweeitish beginning. More Blackberry than Raspberry flavour. Sweetish-round, hints of grain in the background. Fresh and not too sweetish, refreshing without being too watery. Hints of grain in the background, a bit artificial blackberry in the taste with a moderate sweetness. Fruity and refreshing. Nice with a long blackberry aftertaste.

Thx! for sharing DutchDrebus. 320 +/- 5 ml. (I kid you not!) bottle sampled @ ZZT XIII. Bizarre clear pale brown amber with zero head. Nose is this syrup bizarre awful medicinal sugar, watery with some dark bread. Taste is thin syrupy medicinal, hugely watery artificial syrup with watery bread. Very thin & watery. Awful. Like a really bad soda. Really, really bad though. No wonder people in Iran drink stuff like bootleg Heineken etc. when they go for beer plus illegal homebrew as well (likely).

(Istak Malt (Natural)) Bottle 325 ml, served into a shaker. Non alcoholic, but new country! Deep amber colour on the body, crystal clear, with a small and thin white head on top, collapsing fast. Very malty and sweet aroma, prunes, syrup, some stewed fruits. Taste is sweet and mostly constists of malts. Sugar, syrup, some fruity notes. Thin body, carbonation on the low side. For what it is I expected it to be more offensive but it could be worse.

Mar 2015 - "320+5ml" bottle. Clear reddy brown, lightly sparkling, small head doesn’t endure at all. Aroma is damp, slightly sour, maybe some coffee bean but very toned down. Body is medium, low-ish carbonation, foamy. Taste is sweet malts, like a thinner and less sweet version of ’Malta’. (1.6) I also tried the peach version, which is unrateable and is similar but has a pleasant peachiness to it. I would have given it (2.4). Neither are beers really.

Shared 320 ml bottle at local tasting, thanks to Holmen1. Brown colour, low off-white head. Unpleasant aroma of unfermented wort, wet cardboard and damp basement. Thin body. Flavour of unfermented diluted wort, but not as sweet as I feared. Hardly any noticeable hops. Oh well, a new "beer" country for me ...
